If every family had at least one Mrs Hall, the world would be a much better place.
Here Here!!!
Aye
Agreed
I adore this series. Such kindness, simplicity, and humor. And…I want to be Mrs. Hall. 🤗
I LOVE this show - I hope it continues for many seasons. There is nothing like it on TV (a real shame!) This show is the best!
I agree wholeheartedly. Can't wait for season 5 to be released on DVD. I live in Germany and we can't watch PBS over here.
In that case you'll be glad to know that they've just wrapped up filming the new season this week (plus a 2024 Xmas special)
@@MarloFan Awesome! I've heard season 5 starts airing in September. What do you reckon when it comes on DVD?
@@Osmone_Everony I've no idea I'm afraid - if I were you, I'd look into spending a few euros on a VPN (Google it if you're not sure, although they sponsor a lot of UA-cam videos so you're bound to find a discount code somewhere!), to watch them as they come out- and to watch the special on Xmas day!
She's beautiful!
Love Mrs. Hall. She keeps the men in Line and the House in Order. 😊😊
Mrs. Hall makes me want to live at Skeldale House.
I adore this show. So, so sweet and all the characters are magnificent 🤍 I love all the characters, but I have to say Mrs. Hall is my absolute favorite.
Mrs. Hall is simply grand
We couldn't agree more!
That's true, isn't it?
Mrs. Hall is the Mrs. Hughes of All Creatures Great and Small.
I absolutely love this show.
I was given a James Herriot book by a customer while working at a boarding /grooming /posh retail shop in Atlanta.
I still have it after 35+yrs
"Lost time is never found again."
That is my favorite quote...and so true.
Yes!! We love Mrs. Hall’s kind heart! And she manages these 3 men with the greatest of ease! ❤️
Absolutely love the convincing way Ms Madeley portrays Mrs Hall! I love every aspect of the series, showing how important it is to treat each other with kindness! Every character is lovable and the scenery is beautiful as well! Well done!
Love, love Mrs.Hall!!
Anna Madeley is such a great, skilled and bright actress, and she is stunningly beautiful.
I am in love with this show... and I think I am in love with Mrs Hall.... LOVE LOVE LOVE.... :)
Anna Madeley ♥♥♥ great actress
Yep. She's my favourite character!
ain't she a darling: The lovely Miss Hall. Graciousness and Humility, Patients she appears to never run out of.
After seeing some of the news on Israel, I felt I needed a pic-a-me up, So I browsed this video. I once had for years
and years, a lady friend very much like Miss Hall. she bested me my by twenty years. all on the straight and narrow.
Blessings to all. Jesus is Lord.
Mrs. Hall is the MVP for sure!
We've been watching Royal and Anna Madeley is a young and vivacious new nurse on the ward. Wonderful to see her 20 years ago.
Love her
Mrs. Hall, in addition to all the things mentioned, is the conscience of Skeldale House and she knows when her guidance is needed. How would those men manage without her? Not very well I believe.
Quite!
I adore her absolutely gorgeous woman, when I hear her voice I calm down in seconds❤❤❤❤❤
The unfailingly kind and competent Mrs. Hall is the beloved straw, who stirs the drink at Skeldale House.
Anna Madely is a superb successor to the late, great Mary Hignet as Mrs. Hall.
Masterpiece = Class.......Period.
UA-cam has all the Herriot books audible for free. Wonderful!!!
What !? That's brilliant :)
I love her too! She’s my second fav character, after Helen!
she's my first favorite.
I never watched the original series but I hear there's a lot less Mrs. Hall in the original series and in the books, which is disappointing because she's definitely my favorite character, I adore her
Sadly, Mary Hignett passed away after a hip replacement aged 64 so she had to be written out after the 3rd series. She was wonderful.
Love her character because she pulls it all together and adds , comfort, peace and sanity….this entire cast is beautiful. And of course it’s masterpiece a huge hit here in America…I can’t wait for season four ….
I love Mrs. Hall en I think she would be a good partner for Siegfried. They sometimes look like a married koppel already❤
If it weren’t for Mrs Hall this show wouldn’t work or be near so special. I’m sad they couldn’t find any way to respect the spiritual aspects of this story…it lives on in her.
We love Mrs H!!! That house would fall apart without her, please don’t marry her off! 🥲🥲🥲
Well, look at it this way: Gerald lives around the corner, so she could marry him and walk to work at Skeldale House.
Audrey & Gerald 🥰🥰🥰
I love those too 😍
Mrs. Hall makes the world comprehend the artistry of homemaking. There is nothing lesser, unskilled, sappy, submissive about all the capabilities needed, developed to make any system work well. Siegfried is definitely the most complex character of all. Though, I suspect if we knew Marjorie Pumphrey well that she might give Siegfried some competition in that category. LOL.
I love how this version of the series includes rich female characters so centrally.
And that's necessary why???
You mean exactly like the original did forty five years ago?
So far away from the book... And she seems to be in this rendition, a woman who dedicates herselve to motherhood, something that is looked down on in our age but now is adored in this form... What can you make of it?
Mrs H is a shining star and most loved character on the show. She is the best part of this season. However there are some problems. I got to thinking about it after watching episode 4 over the weekend. This year I have big problems with the character of Siegfried. Last year they made us think that he was kind of gruff guy with a heart of gold. This year is a lot different. I don't like the guy and was thinking "I've actually worked with one or two bosses like this in the past. Not a pleasant experience". If this was real life, he would have chased off both Herriot and Tristan. The character has kinda become a bully. I wonder how much input Sam West actually had in it. If I were playing the character I would have said something.
I think Siegfried was uncharacteristically boorish, when he told Tristan that he had failed an exam in front of all those guests at a formal dinner at Skeldale House.
I think he has a good heart but seigfried sometimes acts like the shouty father and cares so much me seems horrible. Ms Hall is the only one who understands him and helps him .
Sam West is a big name in British acting. His Mother is Prunella Scales ( Sybil from Fawlty Towers) and his Father, Timothy, has been a first rate actor for decades too. I would imagine he has more than enough clout to speak out about the Siegfried role if he thought it necessary.
He doesn't stay so tough. He is struggling against his need for his own life and career and another war is coming and he has two young bucks jockeying to take his place, in a sense. He is quick-tempered, but it doesn't last long. He can be talked down from his ledge or talked into compromise/something new or talked out of drastic measures. Revelations and turnarounds come in Season 3, if you haven't seen that. We all get a broader picture of the Farnons.
Anna Madaly is the Greatest Actress of our time!
