343 finally gave us our first look at Halo Infinite season 5, Which is titled Reckoning.
With this season we are set to receive new modes Like Extraction and the very long awaited arrival of Firefight, Cross Core helmets!! 2 new amazing maps, Forge AI, The flood?? and MUCH MUCH more!
IGN also provided us some extra information, and I'll of course go over that too!

Check out waypoint, they go way more in-depth into the new BP changes and events. Basically its down from 100 to 50 tiers but supposedly the amount of content is very similar. Most notably, they have condensed things like coatings and shoulder pieces into 1 slot instead of the multiple they had before.
Definitely worth having a read of the waypoint post and covering it, some important stuff!
I’m not gonna lie, the only thing missing is new weapons and vehicles. But I don’t mind waiting more seasons for them
Does the Bandit EVO count as a "new" weapon?

So yeah it counts a new weapons.
Still super excited, but I admit it is disappointing, I think the minimum for every season should be one new weapon and/or vehicle. 3-4 months to port a weapon from older games or add a new one shouldn't be too unreasonable. The sandbox needs new toys

The EOD isnt just because of the TV show, 343 said a long time ago that they would like to add the rest of the missing reach helmets into the game. We saw EOD in the art and in the trailer you can see the gen 1 secuirty helmet (reach secuirty helmet) so i think we're going to see the rest of the missing reach helmets this season or in the next couple helmets. The missing reach helmets as of now are Secuirty, military police. EOD, Pilot, gungnr and if they wanted to be cool for spooky season, Haunted Pilot helmet.

You can see secruity, pilot, and eod on spartans in the trailer. So definitely coming this season

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING AVOUT THE RAKSHASHA USING THE REACH PILOT HELMET?? We might be getting the haunted helmet (hoping). You can see it after he gets sniped just before the grunts arrive.
One of the flood helms had a skull instead of the visor so they might have it like that for the pilot
If we do get a Halloween event, i hope the Haunted Helmet is a reward in the event pass
Looks like we might not get an event, but will likely see some Halloween Store items
It'll be interesting to see how much Firefight explodes into the multiplayer (like when Forge was added to Infinite) ^.^
In regards to level 50 battle passes. Hopefully they'll increase the level cap for each level OR have longer/more event passes

Looks great so far I just hope we can fully view our spartan that has the try on feature with the close ups. That we should be available to see what it looks like fully before making a purchase which can either not look ideally what you imagined and regretting your purchase.

Surely crosscore coatings are done by now. At least old hcs skins, and kit tied coatings. There isnt that many to manually do surely its done now

Can't decide whether I want to play Halo: Infinite because of season 5 cosmetics or World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King because of Icecrown Citadel coming out in two days and me not being geared up because of work.
It's disappointing to hear Season 5's battlepass has been nerfed.
Not really bro, extremebreaker confirmed that some levels will be multi-reward level, some of them haven at most 4 rewards, also no repeats and more rewards for non-premium players
It’s compressed. it just means that you’ll get the same amount of items sooner so it’s good

@@UnintelligibleYT also remind me, has any other Halo had "basic" PvE like custom forgeable AI? That's literally been every Halo players dream since forge was introduced in Halo 3, and it's coming to Infinite in a few days.

They also announced the battlepass is only 50 tiers this time around as well, with 20 of the unlocks being the free track and all the free stuff being the first 20 unlocks. At first i was dissapointed to hear this but then they said the reasoning is they wanted to prioritize quality over quantity and by doing so they are making the change we all have wanted since day 1 making emblems and coatings only 1 unlock that then unlocks it across everything instead of how it was before where 1 coating could take up so many unlock slots in the battlepass (we saw this in S4). Really really like what we're seeing with S5 so far, i agree i want more sandbox stuff and hopfully with firefight and AI being done they can go balls to the wall on that stuff in future season, we know stuff like the Enforcer/Mutilator and the Falcon are pretty much done so maybe those will release with firefight and if not i have to imagine they will be next season.

I wonder if the flood cosmetics will be "attachments" do various armour pieces instead of separate armour pieces

You know honestly with the heavy work of campaign ai and firefight being done now i wouldnt mind if they started only dropping one dev made MP map each season, rotating between btb and arena, and instead focused more on sandbox stuff like weapons and vehicles. Especially with how much good quality forge maps we get now this game doesn't have a map problem anymore, that being said i would still like to see a dev made map every now and then and i REALLY want to see BloodGulch return. Theres never been a better setting/game to bring BloodGulch back than in Infinite and the game needs a big OPEN btb map like that. We already know a sidewinder/Avalanche remake is in development as well.
Ive watched most people reactions and analysis to this trailer and damn dude you covered this the best. No offense to the others but your attention to detail and even your hot takes were great.

This looks really good, but it’s still lacking that large scale PVPVE mode to really shake up the game. Also the lack of new weapons or vehicles is silly, the gameplay is getting stale.

Im obsessed with the flood and ive always wanted to play as them normally, my dreams have come true
I personally am torn between the Flood Armor being its own seperate core and just add ons. On one hand, I like having each Core the way it is, but having a single core with tons of Flood customization sounds really good.
As for the Master Chief Core idea... yeah, and then have the older iterations as extra hard challenge rewards.
And the Battlepass I do agree is SUPER easy, I got like, 40 double Xps from the last 4 seasons.
This season has me super hyped and definitely feels like an actual live service💯
I really want to see the gen 2 armor core from halo 4/5 added sometime tho that is my favorite armor
I also hope next season we get that military base btb map that was leaked wt new additions to the sandbox like more vehicles (where is the mantis 343?) and maybe would be cool if they brought back the promethean items jus to fluff up the content as those things were sick
i think firefight will be midway through the season so they can add forge firefight maps, we only see oasis and reckoning which is a lil lackluster, they would probably want to have more maps than that.

I want new weapons, new vehicles, Warzone, and Firefight, how about some map remakes from H4 & 5. Halo 5 had one of the best weapon and vehicle sanboxes. No new weapons or equipment is inexcusable 343

@MAGPIELEON ik lol I was referring to a map remake of specifically Mercy and Truth from Halo 5 I loved those maps. Also more btb remakes

Also understand, (you didn't know of course...) i did not ever played a Doom game. So i agree on Halo's "goaticity".
That Halo TV series helmet is actually pretty sick. This season is going to be awesome man.
