I'm having fun with Leipzig even if she isn't the best ship. I did go with the turret traverse gear instead of improving the reload because I find myself needing to serpentine a decent amount to avoid battleship fire and need my guns to react quickly to stay on target.
There is an additional camo available if you purchase the deluxe Blitz Pass, called ‘Eagle’. It provides additional ship hit points, MB range, MB dispersion, and max traverse speed. All +4% except dispersion (-4%)
I have both Nürnberg and Leipzig. I do have the Leipzig set up differently. Slot One is set for Main Battery Mod 2, Slot 2 Propulsion, and 3 Concealment. The conceal is like 6.5, with Historical Camo and High Grade coal. I like the ship, the long torpedo range is also nice. I did expect the skill set tho, at least the Engine Boost, since Leipzig also was mentioned in a PC devblog. It does hurt that it has no sonar, but at the same time, it's just a matter of being more attentive. Plus, most that know about German CL's understand the AP on these things hurt, or they find out the hard way, as well as the long range torpedo range to those that don't know, can come as a surprise. Great ship.

At range I find I can get citadels on some battleships by plunging shots into the deck with Leipzig. I find myself loading the HE opportunistically, so mostly when I see a bb use his dama-con and want to set some perma-fires.

Und WG hat wieder angefangen zeitlich limitierte Schiffe zu verschenken. MM auf T7 besteht jetzt aus Noobs mit unverbesserten Ashitakas. Arg inspirierendes Spielerlebnis. Absolut.

Macht aber Spaß, wenn man eine gute Übersicht und etwas Erfahrung mitbringt.
Nürnberg can do a stupid amount of damage if she encounters battleships that don't quite know what they're doing, and let her operate in torpedo range. But it is somewhat less than it used to be in the early days.

Some of the stats don’t make much sense - it has a quarter less displacement, a lot more engine power, but has the same armour and speed as the Nürnberg… But it is a fun ship to play, at t6 the lack of sonar isn’t as much of an issue as it is on higher tiers. I see it as a bit of a hit and run ship with the better concealment, rapid reload, speed boost and longer range torps.
The problem I have with Derfflinger is that the speed advantage over, say the Kaiser, just isn't there yet, and she takes a lot of damage while not having the output. Mackensen slowly gets there, but 26kn is just a bit too little to be able to utilise the map in a battlecruiser, and she can't hold her own in a brawl easily. Now, this being mid-tier, it depends a lot on the matchmaking and who you're facing, but I'm a lot more comfortable with Mackensen's speed and her 350s, probably because I've been playing the PEF a fair bit :)
@@FunandGameswithTerry Derfflinger is a ship that I used a lot. I never got problems with her to be honest, also, never got slaped by enemy fire. Derfflinger should also have basically the same level of armor as König (just paper bow and stern armor). But I agree with you, she dont get the speed, you miss the speed you can find on Von der Tann or Seydlitz.
Terry. Are you able to do a video on your set up to play this game? I am playing on my iPhone with reading glasses as I’m an older guy. I’ve tried mirroring the game on my TV, and even my laptop, however I must continue to look at my phone to control it all.
I'm getting on myself (upper 40s), but I'm still playing on the phone. Fortunately, I'm near-sighted. I know that CC streamers generally run the game on Bluestacks, which is an Android emulator for PC: www.bluestacks.com/ Maybe that's a good way for you to run on a larger screen. No mobile device required.
I personally wouldn't, since I don't see this as a torpedo boat primarily, and you really need the manoeuvrability when getting shot at, since she does not react well to it. But maybe for a less aggressive / more long-range focused style, that could work out.
(Not related to the Leipzig) So, i've just got an Ohio from the free key yoy get from daily login during the Easter event, (a 0.46% chance). But, i've never player any tier above 8 nor any US battleship, what do I do with this thing? (Don't even have enough creds to buy a single equipment) I'm thinking in just using it in training battles with bots..
Ohio is basically a cross between Montana and Vermont. She's got ok armour, but nothing special. You get very big guns, and a rapid reload skill, together with pretty decent AA. If you're not yet comfortable with T10, you can try staying back with your team and engage enemy battleships at long range, at least for the first half of the battle. That's relatively safe to play, and you should have some impact that way while you're learning the ropes, training your captain etc. Or just put her aside for later, not going anywhere

I think they did a good job with this ship. I’m happy I picked up the blitz pass this month.

Awesome ship in my opinion, not as consistent as the Nürnberg, but with a much higher ceiling on damage potential

Stats are somewhat random, I think - they're certainly not historically accurate.
