Hello Doctor Toyos , i have no idea if you will answer but i have simple question. IF you have a patient with rosacea on face and MGD do you treat just around eyes or the full face ? if you get rid of most of rosacea around eyes and ears then the face will look uneven with the rest ? or maybe seetings for MGD dont do much on the skin ?
Thanks for all your studies etc , i have also bad MGD and im looking for good ipl treatment im in asia right now and found a doctor in BKK using the M22.

IPL seems to be used primarily if you have rosacea thats causing your MGD/dry eyes. Lipiflow is great for unclogging and draining the glands, but if you have a condition that makes your eyelids margin always swollen and painful IPL might be better in long term. Ive had lipiflow done 3 times since 2017. After the first one I was relieved for almost 2 years, then it came back in September 2019, I had it done again around Christmas 2019, I was symptoms-free for 11 months, then it all came back in November 2020 and Ive been stuck with this crap ever since. Lipiflow didnt do anything I constantly have a burning sensation around the bottom eyelids and the eyes, I can feel oil coming out when I blink hard or do warm compresses but generally my eyes dont seem to moisturize themselves properly.
My eye doctor has been suggesting me IPL every since the first time I met him and he instantly noticed my rosacea, something I had never heard of since its so mild. Yet I insisted for a Lipiflow since it worked the first time at the first clinic I went back in 2017. The lipiflow did work again that time. But this year, like I said, it hasnt done anything, so I really believe now after watching Dr. Toyos videos as well, that IPL is truly the answer behind my problem and the real solution to rosacea. I hope so at least... My first treatment is tomorrow, I honestly cant wait. Ill make sure to talk to my doctor first and speak about what I just heard in this video see if hes aware of most of this (without trying to be arrogant).
