  • Extremely long film. Tips on changing fuel line. Did not start...coil gap adjustment. New Carb kit. The saw is a find...as it is very little been used. I like it ! :-). It still does not oil...or barely oils a little. But not worry because I have Jobu SL 3. part saw. It is the same saw. This Poulan has magnesium alloy chasing ...not sure if it has a plastic version. Probably not. The seller which is expert on saws...sad it was good...and when i inspect it...it looked very little used. I think it is a good one for small branches...but tested it on little bigger logg. Only for the experienced ....because there is no safety brake on this old little bugger. Crazy long clip though. It just became this way. After cleaned it...it became kind of joyful to look at...as so many other saws. many saws I think has a tasty or cool design and temting good colours. As a shining litte object....wanting to be bought ehh ! :-)

      Hey! Thank you for those nice words and appreciate to hear that ! :-) It is a little lottery as every thing else...you need to have little luck and you need the margin on your side. However...it is a small saw and pretty easy to work on. But it is mechanic and it has many years existence. Mine was succsessfull working, but when came back one year later...it was trouble. So be prepaired for suprises and and some time consuming. But you can be lucky as so many others with this model. Good luck ! :-)

    Great video, my dad gave me the same saw, was nice to see it all apart. Would love some voice-over talking about what your doing and the parts for those of us who know almost nothing about small engines though.

    I have this same chainsaw i bought new, late 80s, i used it this week twice, ran fine but has now decided it does not want to start i suspect weak spark or no spark, i use a bottle when i run the saw to put oil on the bar at times, the shop fitted new fuel lines ( bit fiddly for a novice ) i also have a newer bigger Poulan chainsaw ( for a home user, i do not see anything wrong with them! )
    i could be wrong the bar on this one looks bigger than mine. For cutting wood like at 21m i use my circular saw ( made in China of course but it works, it was cheap )

      Hey ! I have some that i find troublesome and difficult to diagnose. They eighter work or don´t some say. Other say they are easy to fix and willing saws. I am not sure he he. If you have points on yours...sand them and the wire connections. I could be totally wrong...but some might came with points.

    I ordered a carb kit which just happened to fit this chainsaw but i needed it for the Jonsered RS44 since i didn't want a rubbercoated pumping diaphragm which the old one was they turn bad very easily if you store a two stroke with fuel until next time you use it but i run my equipment bone dry until i use them again, same goes for long term storage 😄

      Yes... I think that is the way to store the gasoline equipment ! Good avdwise and i notice that diffenece on the diafragm ! I start use onely the plastic ones...the more orange type ones. Could be smart ! .-)

    Where do you find parts for this? The plastic part of the starter is worn out

    • @motordiverse1276
      @motordiverse1276  2 роки тому

      I always go for 1 and quarter out on low and one and half out og high... I go from there...and see how saw reacts... Not remember from that saw...but probably as i say here.
