Regarding Spiritual Warfare:
In the Preface of the Screwtape Letters, C.S. Lewis writes, “Equal and opposite errors about the devils - disbelieve in them or to believe and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They are equally pleased with both errors and hail the materialist or a magician with the same delight!"
Fulton Sheen said that we are trying to either domesticate or we deny his existence. … He is most powerful when he is denied.
In Scripture:
Luke 22:31 - 32
“Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith many not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers.”

In the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. …

Ties to the occult (latin - hidden or secret) knowledge of the paranormal - glimpse of the future, palm reading, tarot cards, yoga, racking, magic, crystals, horoscopes, knocking on wood (Druid practice that spirits live in trees - knock on the wood - asking the spirit that lives in the tree to come to your aid and grant your request) - Witchcraft, - condemned - violates the first commandment - looking for a substitute for God - Deut. 18:10-12
Through the Entertainment industry (Movies, tv shows, literature, games) leaving people in isolation - sense of community - Jesus gave us the Church - Stan wants to isolate us. Evil presented as good.
A Curse - doing harm to someone with the help of the devil. But we can make sure that we are spiritual strong (St Paul’s letter Ephesians putting on the armor of God, Psalm 91 - grow in our relation to God
Being dedicated to a demon - No one is ever lost to God’s mercy and grace! If we want to be found, God will find us.
Abuse - emotional wounds were people seek help from the wrong sources
Life of habitual sin (A good confession is more powerful than an exorcism itself)
Inviting a demon into their life
Broken Relationships - Forgive
