  • Teams provides a great set of tools for communicating with and within the membership of a Team, but no easy way to send an email to them. However, realizing that there is an Office 365 Group "behind" that Team, you can do this pretty easily using Power Automate.

Hi Chad, thank you for all the videos you make about Power Automate. I have started to create and test some flows and am trying to use this but modified after "Join". After Join, I want to create a chat and then write a message in that chat. What happens is that I get this error message "Duplicate chat members are specified in the request body". I understand that the user writing the message is also in the Teams group from which we retrieve the users. But how do I remove the user writing the message from the "List group members"?

You would need to filter out the person sending the message. A filter array action should work. If you have trouble setting that up, I recommend posting a message in the Power Automate community (powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/bd-p/BuildingFlows) with some screenshots of what you have configured. You can tag me there (@ChadVKealey)
