I was hoping I could get this video up yesterday before going to bed, but I got busy with other things... Sorry about that. But here it is! Luna's Future! Almost everyone voted for this song after Pinkie's Present. There seemed to be a little confusion about my vote though. Regardless of which song won, I was going to do both anyway. I just wanted to know which song you wanted first. So next up is going to be "The Seeds of the Past".
The song was really easy to transcribe. No weird harmonies, tempo changes, etc. Unfortunately, the piano really doesn't do the song justice. The original song is much more epic than the piano on its own. I added octaves and stuff, but it didn't help much. If you want to play this, feel free to throw in your own notes/chords to make it cooler.
I really like the song, but just like Pinkie's Present, I wish it was longer. Pinkie's Present was still okay at the length it's at, but this one definitely needs an extended version. More Luna singing please! By the way, I like how Luna said there would be eternal snow. You know, because Nightmare Moon wanted eternal night? ... I'll be quiet now

+Jordan Jennings Just apply the piano notes to violin. Pick the melody line.
Dogman15 I did do that. It would just be easier to see it for violin only and not have to worry about the bass cleft
+Jordan Jennings What's so hard about ignoring it? It's less work to ignore the parts your violin can't play than it is to make special sheet music just for violin.

OMG!!! SUPER AWCOME!
I find a problem with MIDI transcriptions with how they make a piece sound boring and a bit different to the actual song played live. This transcription sounds great on a real piano and it really gets the dark nature of the song, but the midi doesn't really do it good.

This is really fast for it to come out! I have to say, this sounds a little cheery for the dark scene, but still pretty awesome. I love it. Also, I'm the 666th viewer.

It was still pretty good, I have to say. :) Maybe given more time, it can be worked on if you're unhappy with it.
+witch2647 I don't think I can do much else though. I got most of the important notes. The main reason the original song is really dark is because of the instruments (the strings). A single piano simply can't match it

Why did Hasbro call it Luna's Future for the song when it just about what happens if Starlight exceeded into getting rid of the holiday?
that is the future of what Luna sings about...if starlight succeeds with her goal...then what she had done is what Luna is predicting

Because it would take forever to record. You have to do multiple takes. Plus, I'm not that great of a performer. I have a few old videos of me playing live. Those took at least 50 takes each. It's way too troublesome
This version sounds abit too cheerful considering the dark mood of the scene.

+DJDelta0 I don't know what you guys mean, it sounds really ominous to me, especially with the reverb effect ^^
+DJDelta0 Your version is fine; as you mentioned, piano can only deliver so much to this kind of effect. I think the strings and other instruments help much more than credited for.
