anyone that says there is no skill in this game is probably into video games or has never played the game before in their life. One of The best sports involving Cardio in my opinion. 2nd to maybe sand volleyball.
I agree that in order to be great you must have tremendous skill...however I wouldn't classify R-Ball as a great Cardio sport. But for me the more I played (or the more skilled I became), the less exercise I got. The points became shorter and the game seemed to get more defensive. Guys would play "Ceiling ball" until someone played a loose shot and it was a put away. You perhaps don't want to hear it, I hate all the guys who harp on this a lot, but give Squash a try. I switched about 7 years ago and have never looked back. I played tennis growing up in High School and in College, I then played R-Ball for around 10 years before moving to Squash.
The reason average people don’t see skill is because the speed and power dominates the visuals. Only the people who play know how difficult is it to execute a kill, hit Low, pinch or splat. The ball naturally bounces a lot, to control shots at this level you need a lot of skill and accuracy.
Habit, stalling, recovering?.. Sort of, there are a lot of reasons for those "rituals" using Tht time to visualize your serve for better execution, controlling the pace of the game, getting into a rhythm and upsetting ur opponents. When u compete at higher levels those advantages often make the difference between winning and losing
+Pozitiv MC Its great exercise and a fun game actually. My guess is you probably went on court with someone twice your age who handed you your hat...ever since then, for you, its been an ugy and boring game....
+Pozitiv MC I have no idea what you mean by "ugly game" but I'll concede that yes, it probably IS boring for someone who is not a racquetball player them-self to watch. Which makes me wonder: Why you were watching this video in the first place?
A year later, Paola is even better, at the top of her game
Amazing athletes 😍
The opponent in blue is Michelle Key from Tempe, AZ. Michelle just won the women's Pro doubles WOR championships July 2013.
