I am preparing a new video guide with more effective tips and tricks! I just wanted to share with you a very strong strategy here in comments until i upload it.
The strategy goes like this :
1) You go afk till 1000gold
2) You pinpoint which gold ability card you need the most and you ONLY buy cards from that category until you reach 20 points.
----- // After 20 points you have chances to drop golden cards -----
3) Then you spend your gold ONLY to reroll until good Gold and Purple cards appear.
---- // After you pick up a gold card and a few purple you move to next step ------
4) Try Level up to catch up by buying mostly 2 stat cards With focus on your next most valuable ability
---- // Try Reach lvl 10 then move to next step --------
5) Level up your next Stat to level 20
6) Reroll until you drop another gold card and some purple.
7) last step pick up cards only to reach lvl 15 for your last talent.
This is the most effective strategy i use on my last games. Gold Cards are extreamly Strong they are all that matters.

Long Answer :
Wining grants you 50g , Getting a winning streak will grant you even more. some early points that will give you that win streak makes it worth to sacrifice 10g or 20g interest.
Losing will grant you 15g per hp lost.
for example if you lose the first round you will receive 30g.
What i do is, I pick up main stat cards, but i don't refresh until 1000.

It depends on the active sects for each game. For example a health build with life break gold card have a lot chances. Also evade builds can use a card that turns your evade into some sort of magic resist.
Ive won 2 times today thanks to this guy guide. But theres still a lot more room for another video. Like, what spect to invest for each hero.

Nice! Yes it is. I learn a lot daily too. For example going full afk the first rounds is not that good because you want to win the pvE round 5 to be able to choose item. Getting one point on some of the skills will do the work.

Toxic Frost description feels misleading, as I just tested (Toxic Frost Lv.Max) - with 422 Frost and 351 Poison stacks first poison deals only 576 damage.
I guess Frost only adds to damage, not multiply it.
Yeah now that you mention it, i also believe the math behind it is (422 Frost / 25 stacks = 16~ ) x 6 extra dmg. so if 351 Poison stacks will deal 351dmg, its this + 96 . Total 447.
i wouldn't try to find the exact math on an Arcade game thought. it would be no surprise to be totally bugged.

There are limited cards shared among players!
does anybody know how many copies of EACH gold card exists? (i.e. how many 'initiatitive' card?)
If I was to guess I would say 2. If not max 3.
The moment someone else has the first hold card I need it seems impossible for me to get it as well.

how to counter ulti builds ?
It depends on the active sects for each game. For example a health build with life break gold card have a lot chances. Also evade builds can use a card that turns your evade into some sort of magic resist.
Blade mail is good as well with the other recommendations. You burst them and you have a good legendary ability to cheat death
How to counter poison ?
Anti Poison ability card aside, your best bet is heal tank it, damage to kill him faster than he did. Poison hits you once every 1 second. So it doesn't kill you that fast.
