Well dang. I thought everyone was doing this already. It’s the best for defining and keeping them roots stretched. Plus you have more pieces separated already so you don’t have to separate as much. My go-to styling!
I love this technique! I found out about it a few months ago and it’s been my go too ever since. Recently I started doing a 3 strand twist at the bottom and the results are BOMB
I do this style as well but I only braid the root( an inch) because sometimes two strand twists can unravel at the root. If you do this style again instead of transitioning to a two strand twist, transition to a three strand twist! This way teach strand is the same size ❤️ love the results!!!!!!
6 months later I came back to watch this video again because I’m doing this exact hairstyle today with the same product! I can’t wait to see how it turns out! ❤️the results for your hair beautiful Kim!
I started doing this when I want to wear twists for a few days. Braiding it at the roots makes it last longer & it don’t unravel at the roots. Also makes it look neater at the roots. 👌🏾
I like this method for my 3-strand twist-outs. I saw Hazel Goddess doing it so I tried it and never went back. For a regular twist out, I just do straight twists since I flat-twist.
Looks amazing! I’ve been doing this to my 5 year old daughter’s hair for years now as a protective style. It’s usually a mixture of braids and small braids/twists. I like it because the braids keep it from unraveling. I also love the blueberry bliss for my hair and my daughter’s hair. Very moisturizing ❤️
I do twaidout everytime i do a twist out (didnt know that's what it was called) But! I three strand twist the bottom half. Hair comes out perfect everytime. You should try the three strand twist if you try this again :)
Ive been moisture training the way you suggest and in one month 4 washes i can see the difference in my hair and my twist out fren be popping ok my hair just short so I only wear it for like 2 days. then i wet my hair and slick it back. for 2 -3 days and start all over. But thank you. I going to try this way for the stretch.
Been rocking this style for a long time, due to me not being able to get the technique down for a three-strand twist down. I prefer "twaidout" or "bristout" over braid outs because they don't take at long to do and dry for me.
I do this to my daughter's hair to make her twists last longer. Week 1 twisted/twaided week 2 separated. Turns out great and I only have to do her hair 2x a month
Hey! I’m a new natural and I’m struggling with trying to find what products work best for my hair. What was the leave in conditioner you used? Btw ya hair looked so good 😊
The secret is finally out lol. Day 4, workouts, rain and still looks so good. Them twaids were looking real juicy before the takedown too, Twaidout for the win! 💕💕 - Leah Monet
If you really picked it out and seperated over 4 days then 👀🔥yaaasss the style is fire love the longevity it had and my personal reason for doing braid then twist is because when i do just the twist then the parts closer to my scalp are poofy so when i do braid first then i feel like it has the conformity and would last more which i did it recently and got 2 weeks out of it but i refreshed only once and didn't refresh my whole head just the top layer since it has the most contact with weather
Hey Kim! Hair bomb as usual. 😍😍 I do something similar. I do a braid about a quarter of the way three strand twist and two stand at the ends. My profile picture here is the results of that and it's my go to style. Rock them for a few days in twist then take them out 3-5 days later. I might have to go back to the blueberry bliss. I loved using it years ago.
These results are an absolute 10/10!! 😍😍😍 You really be putting me on🥰 P.S: I don’t wanna say I cried but I whined excessively to my bf about how badly I want one of your towels and he went out and bought me a microfiber towel and needless to say it wasn’t yours so I was hurt af lol😭😭. I pretend it’s yours when I use it though ❤️❤️
It should be called a BRISTOUT...since you start with a braid and end with a twist. Plus I think BRISTOUT is easier to say than Twaidout. 😄😄😄
Agree! I like that
Yess easier on the tongue lol! Bristout!!
RW 2020 yes girl I agree hehe. I love to do a braid, then three strand twist 🙌🏼🙌🏼.
Agreed, it sounds better & makes more sense. 👌🏾
RW 2020 that’s what i call it lol. Been doing this for years to combat the puffiness in my roots
Growing up in the Caribbean “twaids” have been around forever!! It’s an everyday thing!
Yup in skn we call that plait and twist
same here in nigeria
Yes just like feed in braids & knotless braids Africans been doing those forever
@@rubersula or plait and corkscrew
Well dang. I thought everyone was doing this already. It’s the best for defining and keeping them roots stretched. Plus you have more pieces separated already so you don’t have to separate as much. My go-to styling!
Beautiful results! 😍 I braid mine at the root so my roots aren't puffy. It's a must for me when I do a twstout.
I love this technique! I found out about it a few months ago and it’s been my go too ever since. Recently I started doing a 3 strand twist at the bottom and the results are BOMB
"Half braid half TWIST..and thats what it is SIS!"- KIM 😂

Didn't know this was called a twaidout been doing my hair this way every time i plait/braid my hair.
