- Flair Signature flairespresso....
Looking for the option to better complement the color theme you have planned, or already have going, in your brew bar? The Signature comes in three color choices: Black, White or Chrome and accents those with a matte copper plating on the brew head holder. In terms of brewing components, it's a steps up from the Classic with an integrated Pressure Gauge and all-metal tamper.

1:18 Placing the brew head on the kettle without breaking eye contact with the camera while avoiding the lever, like a boss. It's nice to watch someone actually putting effort into their craft. This guy is such a pro, Flair is lucky to have him.
Thank you for the compliment!
Thanks for the steaming hack, way easier to do to get a high temp than using water in the brew chamber to preheat!
I really want one of these, but they're so expensive over here..
very well explained, thank you!
Hi Flair, for some reason i cant get more than 37 - 38 grams of extraction, i manage to make nice espresso with that but with too little margin to make adjustments (for lighter roasts for example or just higher ratios)
Ordered one for my campervan!
Hey Flair, I'm looking to buy one of your units but I'm pretty particular about making 18g of coffee every morning. This is just the perfect amount of caffeine for me. This seems to be the maximum amount models other than the Pro 2 or 58 can hold... I've looked everywhere to see people's thoughts about using this maximum dosage but can't find much discussion. Am I going to run into any issues in practice if I use 18g of coffee in something like a Neo or Signature?
depends on what roast level you're using. no go for dark roasted coffee, but you might squeak by with a light roast. bit.ly/BrewWithFlair is a great place to do more research
I had the exact same question. sounds like the Pro2 is the way to go...
Hi Andrew,
I recently decided to buy the flair signature after seeing this video a couple of months back. I also bought your royal grinder too and i'm wondering what your setting was on the grinder in this video as i've read that it has a lot of different settings.
Thanks!
Thanks for watching and your purchases! It's been a while since the video but generally speaking a good place to start for a 16g dose would be 1 full rotation plus a few clicks from where the burrs kiss and the handle feels immobilized
@@FlairEspresso Great, thanks! I'll try that.
@@FlairEspresso Team,
I have this same machine. I am currently having issues with the pressure gauge, it does not work. Do you know if it is something that I may be doing wrong, or do I just need to get a new gauge?
Can I ask what kettle you are using? I’m having a hard time finding one with a flat top for preheating.
Its a fellow stagg kettle
is this type discontinued now, after neo flex and 58+?
What's the grind setting on it?
What's the music used for this demonstration? I like it.
How long does it take to grind enough coffee beans for a shot of coffee with your mechanical grinder? I bought a burr grinder a while ago that took me bloody ages to grind enough for one shot of coffee. It is a ceramic and stainless steel burr grinder and it takes me approximately 3 - 4 minutes just to grind enough coffee for one shot.
45s to 90s with most espresso focused hand grinders. Ceramic burrs are typically not aggressive geometry and take ages
I bought this just because of Caitlin Campbell's instagram videos
Hello, I had very recently purchased this, and was wondering what scale you were using?
Pyxis from Acaia
@@FlairEspresso thank you!
@@FlairEspresso i just got my flair signature in the mail today and my pour over scale doesn't fit. Do you have any scale suggestions that might be more... Affordable than the acaia 🤣
hello flair, i have one of your espresso makers. it has a small problem. the little wheel that is supposed to spin does not spin. of course, it spins when there is no pressure applied, but even with light pressure it does not spin. as a result any pressure applied to the lever does not push straight down and it is ruining all the other parts of the flair. especially the pressure guage, which has broke twice now. it seems lie it is just one or maybe two spots on the little wheel where it wont spin properly. i think this because if i lift up the lever arm and spin the wheel just a bit, it works great for a few moments before it locks up again. how do i adjust it to work ?? thanks.
Hi there, we see that you are now being assisted in the proper channel: Service & Support at service@flairespresso.com
Have a feeling hes going to demonstrate the 58mm when the presale starts
And you wouldn't be wrong... actually, you may be given it's up now out hidden ;)
Andrew in the Pro video you’ll show how to remove O rings yeah?

Andrew, whats that black funnel you placed on top of the kettle for preheating the chamber? thanks
It's from a product out of S Korea. Not available for separate purchase as I'm aware
Andrew, what kettle are you using?
Stagg EKG
@@FlairEspresso thx!
You mentioned to bring the kettle to a boil, is there a specific temperature that works best?
Boil for steam preheat and catch the water on the way down for brewing. Use a thermometer to find how long it takes at your location and equip to go from boiling to 92 for medium roast. A little higher for light and lower for dark
Thanks for the run-through, that helps a lot. What scale is that you're using?
Acaia Lunar
@@FlairEspresso Thanks! 👍
What is holding up the brew cylinder on the stage ekg? Is it a special funnel?
a funnel. search canning funnels on your favorite e-tailer that is wide enough for your kettle
@@FlairEspresso Will do! Appreciate you guys!
And we you
Hi
How can I make double shot in flair signature
1:2 ratio e.g. 16 g dry coffee to 32 g espresso
What is that tiny scale you're using?
Acaia Pyxis
Hi Andrew, thanks for the guidance!
In my experience, using the spout or the naked portafilter has very significant effects. I can use a higher dose with the naked portafilter.
Keeping other things equal, I can get a 2:1 ratio with 16g in without the spout, but with the spout, I completely choke the machine and get basically nothing out. Is this something you've experienced? Do you have any explanation/recommendation with regards to this?
When I use the naked portafilter I don't create a mess.
Thanks!!
the press-in spout should not affect pressure whatsoever. the hole is wide enough to allow flow and not back it up. we're guessing some variable you weren't tracking or paying as close attention to changed: coffee age, tamping pressure, preheat temp, ramp to pressure etc.
for sanity check, we just pulled two shots back-to-back with the Signature this afternoon using the spout and without. funny enough it was the shot with spout inserted that ran a couple seconds faster!
htttps://bit.ly/BrewWithFlair is a great place to debate factors
@@FlairEspresso thanks so much for the answer! I'll make sure to join the FB group. Yes, it seems I may have omitted some factors I wasn't controlling for (I've been using the signature for a couple of weeks only). I was keeping track of weight in, extraction time and weight out, but indeed I now notice that I've been ramping to pressure much faster with the last few shots. I''ll keep experimenting, thanks again for the feedback!
Very bad experience with Flair. I returned a Pro 2 and they took $15 from the refund because machine "had a blemish". The machine I returned had not such blemish, they sent me a picture of a filthy machine with a section of the paint off. Excuse was "we can't send this machine again as new". Really? Too bad, their machines are ok but company sucks big time, I would advise to buy these machines from Amazon (if you really want them). At least you will have 30 days return guaranteed. Buying directly from Flair was my big mistake: if for any reason you need to return your machine you will be screwed. I had to pay $16 to send it back, then they take $14 more because now they will charge you the "free shipping". And then they charged me another $15 for the supposed blemish (which did not exist). It cost me a total of $45 usd to return this machine. Shame on Flair.
😂OMG! who would actually do all this nonsense just to get s coffee🤣
Buen día, tengo una duda por qué no puedo alcanzar la presión en mi Flair Pro2? alguien que me explique que puedo estar haciendo mal gracias por sus respuestas les saludo desde Guatemala
hello, I just have flair neo and bought non pressurized portafilter instead pressurized. what's proper number of royal grinder to my flair.
Congratulations! We're sure it will serve you well. There's no set number but you can start around 1 1/2 rotations from bur lock up with 17g dose. Join thy Brew with Flair group on Facebook to share your journey
My lock number at 5 and I have to turn corser to absolute zero for turn again to 1 1/2 or turn from number 5 that burr lock. Thank you.
Dark roast is ideal for latte. Since it the flavor still stands out even when you mix it with milk
