Just wanted to let you know my Potica came out beautifully yesterday after following your instructions ! I doubled the filling. Plus lots of rum! I soaked the raisins in it overnight. Thanks to you I was finally able to make Potica that is similar to my mother’s. My husband loves it. We just had some with coffee this morning. I only wish mum was still with us so she could to try it. When you’re young you don’t bother to watch your mother make the traditional dishes then once she is gone…you regret deeply. I have passed this recipe to my cousin in Sweden who also wants to learn how to make Potica :) Xxx Slavica.

This woman is delightful. She needs a high production studio and a contract. Love her.

I watch this every time I make this roll! I already have the recipe written down but I just love watching her bake.

    Is adding rum traditional?

Polarcupcheck Our potica is made with honey and walnuts with brown sugar, mixed and heated on the stove. No rum, no vanilla, no cinnamon. Each family has their own specIal recipe.

@@karenn8260 Thanks. I had mine going real good until I laid too much flour on the bed I rolled it out on. Rolled it out a bit thin. Then I forgot to let it rise a bit, again. Still tasted ok, but I need to not make mistakes.
