Nick, AJ is a intellectual genius, bear with me a moment, please. I did a guided tour through our Zoo in Germany for "gifted" children. I had to talk to 6 to 7 year old kids like I do to University students and professors. No joke. at 8 years old, AJ had the intellect of of a 28 year old with the emphatic ability to imagine herself into any person she wanted. At 6x yo she put herself mentally into the situation of the shoeless girl, I reread her book. Stay safe man, stay healthy. German greetings.

There is a short YT clip of Angelina attempting to sing "I Will Always Love You" at the ripe "old age" of 18-MONTHS! With the aid of her grandma, she began listening to and actually STUDYING jazz around the age of THREE. So, by the time she was 8 in this performance, she was already well-seasoned and established deeply in her jazz roots. Phenomenal prodigy!

I simply love this performance so much I can't find the words to describe how it touches my heart and soul. In my top 3 Angelina songs but there as over a 100 at joint 4th! Lovely reaction.
Here's my opinion on how she is so amazingly mature vocally. When she was 1 1/2 she showed interest in the music playing on the speakers .. and her fabulous grandmother totally found a way to get her what she wanted.. she taught her to be able to turn in her favorite song .. Billie, Etta, Amy, Whitney. Frank Sinatra .. etc. .. all the classics. She would listen to one song over and over and over and over .. she spent hours .. and she wasn't only listening .. she was determined to get her voice to do what their voices did that she liked so much. Soo .. again .. just my opinion .. she taught herself to sing from the inside. Huge. She never lost her willingness to take forever singing what she's singing .. a work ethic that is amazing indeed .. she still has it. So .. that's my version of why she has the voice she has .. does that make sense to you?

Angelina also arranges her songs the way she wants them. she arranged this song, especially the horn parts . there is a video of them going over the song and she had to show the horn player the sound she wanted, and she did it with he mouth, not the horn itself.

Angelina grew up singing Jazz and this is obviously her favorite genre, the biggest influence, the origination of her versatility, deep soulful expression and deep emotional connection to her audience. She can sing any song and any genre. ♥👣
She is absolutely fearless in choice of covers. No artist is too big and no song too daunting. Most Artists shy away from singing Acappella as it will quickly show any flaws. Angelina arranges, at least in part, if not in total, total control of all her performances. She has since she was 7-8 yrs old. She knows what she wants and gets exactly what she wants out of the artists and musicians she works with, many of them who are some of the most accomplished in the industry. ♥👣👸🏻
Angelina has the most beautiful deep voice which is always in tune and quite often in her lower register. I believe she is a Contralto which is rare for a girl especially at this age. You will soon realize she is always Pitch Perfect and always performs at a Master Class level. Her voice was powerful and beautiful at 8 yrs old and today at 16 it is phenomenal! Enjoy the ride.
