Thanks this was very helpful. btw what is the best way to set a control logic on the simserver tags for simulation purposes then interact with them via the scada interface, any suggestions?

Just curious why you typed out [Device01]C1 instead of selecting the tag from the OPC item path tree at the right of that text box?
