My mom loved this song, she died when I was nine. I'm thirteen now. If any of you are out there listening to this, think of your life. All the problems, all the love, all the care. Live life and soon realize, It was a good one. Edit: Dear everyone, here's a final thank you for your support. I'm now 18, a senior in high school getting ready to graduate. This song still has the same effect on me as it did years ago. I've taken a passion in music to learn more about myself and who I'm going to be in my future. I've made some good friends, had some good laughs, but also made mistakes that helped me improve. My mother's passing will always have an effect on me, but I am in a much better place now, with people who care about me unconditionally. People I will always respect. I learned this song on piano just for her, to honor her in my heart always. Thank you, all of you, for your kind words and support. I had honestly thought my comment would get lost with the others, but I hope you were able to learn a little bit more about yourself once it was read. I hope this song is able to remind you of the good times you had before and the good times that are coming. Life gets hard, but you're never in it alone. Thanks for sticking around. - Damon M. ☺

I’m going to treat this comment like a time capsule and maybe in a few years I’ll look back and see how life was when I was 16. Not my happiest right now and I feel unmotivated and sad sometimes. Hopefully life’s good in a few years. :)
Bro I’m telling you now I had sooo much trouble living my life when I was 15-16 and i faced some really hard issues and problems and honestly as soon and during the whole period of 17 I worked on myself and by the time I hit 18. I became unstoppable and i really mean it, like sooo many people love hanging out with me cause I’m just so positive minded in life. But g fight through the pain cause trust me when I say it is absolutely amazing what it can do for u! Wish the best for you in these ongoing years. 💛
This song takes me back to elementary days where everyone was friends and we would all play together and have fun. The school work was very small and we loved thinking about the future. I've heard this song many times before and now I just randomly decided to listen to it again.
....absolutely LOVE this lyric..... "Sometimes there's airplanes I can't jump out Sometimes there's bullshit that don't work now We all got our stories but please tell me-e-e-e What there is to complain about." ~OneRepublic
I'm 16 years old right now and my life is nowhere near what I dream for it to be. I want to live my life to the fullest. And I can picture this life, this feeling in the distance and it's just out of reach. I WILL live that life that I dream of. Someday.

Tristan Simpson Oh yeah I remember this song and even Apologize (without Timbaland) used to be played on 94.7 The Wave, I really am sad too that songs like this haven't been played on the radio station in a while, they really should bring them back on the radio station, along with other songs that haven't been played on the radio station in a while. :(
I actually heard it on the radio about two weeks ago. I forgot about this song even though I used to always listen to it. That is the reason I'm listening to it now. To remember the old days. The same with Apologize without timbaland
I know people who aren't logangster or Jake Paulers won't understand.... this line "My friends in LA they don't know were I've been for the past few years or so" really reminds me of them and what has happened and this line "this I gotta be the good life" was what Alissa thought until Jake stated doing it with other girls P.S. if you followed the Jlissa thing this whole song sounds like them
The girl I was in hospital with last summer was always singing this. She made me smile in a place where a smile is a stranger. You're awesome Muireann! :)
I was in a similar situation when i sang this song during dinner with other patients. It was beautiful how we all started singing and forgot how horrible things are for us sometimes.
I've been feeling insecure and confused lately, wondering where I'll be in the future and what I'm supposed to do. It's times like these that we all need a song to cheer us up and few songs make me feel this good. It's a reminder that no matter how lost we feel, there's always hope that things will work out in the end and that we shouldn't give up.
Im listening to a lot of One Republic for old times sake. I used to listen to them when i was little. They are what have shaped me into what i am today. I barely listen to music in English anymore though... These guys were my musical inspirations. They still are. They helped me through some tough times. I used to, and still, use music as an escape from reality. This is REAL music. I remember when music had real meaning, and it wasn't just about sex, money, and drugs. If you're listening to this in 2018 im proud of you. One Republic are maybe the reason im even here today... I owe everything to them.
This song reminds me of God and his promise to lead us to a good life, he gave us such a wonderful life on this earth. We wouldn't see all the wonderful things and all the beauty this planet has without him. Praise Jesus Christ for he gave us the most beautiful gift which is life
I first heard this song in 2011, after a cross-country move, a brand new start, and a whole new future ahead of me. Looking over the sparkling valley at night as this popped into my head was truly wonderful.
i love my life no matter how much i say i hate it. im putting this down in writing so i can i can look at it later if im mad sad or depressed and in need of a hug
I love my life too. Even though that I have a bad life, I'm still happy. It's because I'm glad to be here, on earth. My dad makes money from his hard job of finding homes for people, while my mom is with me and takes care of me and my brother. We should all know that we all love our lives even when we are sad, mad, or lonely.
Discovered this song while revising for my GCSEs in 2014, currently revising for my final university exams and this song really takes me back. Good memories
I've been feeling suicidal lately and I've been crying and get angry a lot and felt that getting better was impossible, but I heard this song and hoped for the best beyond the facts. The next day I felt way better and realized that happiness and time but most importantly happiness is the best cure of all. I've heard it even can cure some bad viruses and diseases. To everyone feeling like life sucks and death should be their solution, listen to me. Try to happy as much as you can and hope for the best and you can, believe me conquer EVERYTHING.
This song so beautiful I can't even explain how amazing it sounds even after hearing it six years later. I remember hearing this for the first time when I was eleven. This song just takes everyone's hopes and dreams and sculpts it into a masterpiece. Not just the main beat or the voice. The ENTIRE song. From the whistle in the background to the faint singing. Everything about it just makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. This song touches the soul even before the man starts singing. This is REAL music.
This song brings me hundreds of fellings, every time I listen it I think about life, about the future, every wonderful thing that I’ll live, I think about how beautiful life is, I know that I gotta live it with every part of my body. So be happy, be kind and be grateful.
This song reminds me that even if we have our bad moments, we shouldn't dwell on them. We've all had good moments, and no matter what happens, good always outweighs the bad
I've lost someone I loved with everything in me, not because she passed away though but she just left. I lost myself along with it and ended up being depressed. I think I just found myself again when I heard this song again. This song, it made me sincerely smile after almost a half year of being depressed. I actually want to thank her, she taught me how to be severely hurt, taught me how to love. Life isn't Always cheerful, it has its dark sides, from which we eventually learn to be stronger. Damn... I found my smile. :) Stay strong guys, those who passed away are proud of you, they're surely looking over your shoulder. This could really be a good life.
One Republic was one of my favorite bands growing up. This one of there songs that I really liked it always filled me with such optimism about the future. I occasionally come here, and listen, to remind myself that theres still golden moments ahead of me in my life that are yet to come. This is going to be a good life.
This song reminds me of a wedding a few years ago as the couple entered the reception. The place erupted when this song played with people climbing up on chairs and singing, cheering and dancing with them as they entered. Never seen so many One Republic fans in my life, lol Needless to say, I think every single One Republic song ever invented was played that night.
if you ever get a chance, when traveling (especially at night) listen to this. it only makes you feel absolutely peaceful i remember listening to this on the radio when i was 10 on the road
This song makes me cry! I don't know why, maybe because of what I've been through and what I'm going through now. I hope that there will be happier times.
I remember hearing this as a little kiddo like 6 or 7 years old in around 2010 in my dads 2001 Chevy suburban on a long road trip with all of my sisters and brothers and thinking how great of a song it was on the radio and that’s exactly when my love for music started. I come back to this song once in awhile to bring back the nostalgia
i love coming to this video and never finding mean comments!! truly a good community (people who listen to one republic) i feel like most of us are tranquil :) this is great if the world were like this it would be a better place.
Your favorite song, still being your favorite song, even if your life is not good. This song took my mood beyond unpredictable. Happy and better. Thank you to One Republic, for making this masterpiece song. A song when you hear it, It leaves you with so many reasons why you should still in this universe. ✨✨
This song makes me fill sooo.... happy.... I don't know why it makes me feel so like happy and I like almost cry and I'm NOT emotional at all! God bless this song! Good is good life is good! Love you for you love life! God loves you! Someone loves you!
"The hope is *we* have *so much* to *feel good* about!" this line right here is revolutionairy .. nowadays most of us just forget about it or ignore it.. Reappreciate what you got and who you are + enjoy yourself NOW, that's all I have to say -->.i say ohhh !
Holy shit time fucking flies by... It's been 10 YEARS! I remember this playing on the radio as I was in college. Anyone who's still in their 20s: DON'T RUSH! You're in the best time of your life, enjoy ever single moment of it.
just came here to remind my self that I'm so blessed to be alive and well during these awful times. I can't say I have a comfortable life because I belong to a very poor family, but being able to still breathe , a roof over my head and a food on my table is more than enough reason to go on with my life. I hope everyone will survive whatever they're fighting right now. We can do this! 💪
Listening on October 2021 anybody else? We need to stick together in this crazy world today. No more dividing us Americans. We really need to come together, it doesn’t matter what race, creed, we come from, we all bleed the same. Please absolutely, and Especially, no more politics, should divide us any longer like this evil Elites want us to be. Sending Much love to my American, brothers and sisters from Texas. 💖♥️😀
One republic has the best songs they are really good and it makes you have faith and hope in yourself I mean like I like the songs today but in 2011,2012,2013,2014. Those are songs to remember does anyone agree with me!?
I dont have ANY idea why but this song has always just kind of made me.. sad or so happy that i get sad. it just hits me that i used to be a shy little kid that was always afraid of society and was so worried of what people thought of me that i didnt realize that it didn't matter what they thought just as long as i knew what i was am capable of doing and creating in life. To now when im older and dont mind what people think anymore just as long as im enjoying what i think of myself, and this song has just always kind of helped me realize that if you want to know something you have to figure it out yourself because if u ask someone you might miss out on a journey you should have explored yourself.
This is like the soundtrack of my childhood. It came out when I was like 6, and I loved it. I remember being in NY, and enjoying the warm summer nights. We’d get out our bikes, and all of our basketballs and soccer balls and put them in the baskets of our bikes, and ride down to the park while my parents walked behind us. I met up with my two best friends, Brianna and Jackson. We all played on the slides and eventually Caitlin and Courtney would come too. We’d run around in the big field, we’d do performances and sing this song, and we’d try to catch fireflies and put them in a jar. I miss that time.
"when your happy like a fool let it take you over when everything is out you gotta take it in" I love that part and I feel like it has a really deep meaning behind it
This was exactly my life! There were times when I just picked any tickets on promo and fly.....Didn't plan anything prior to it, and just think where I go and where I sleep later when the plane had landed. Been exploring tens of countries by myself, made friends with locals and fellow travelers. all the good times...... Now I am in quarantie, feeling thankful for the time and freedom I had lived to the fullest before :) Now it's time for Work From Home, save the money for pension and enjoying the time at home. Been there, done that :)
I remember this playing in the car, Everytime it did, we're singing along, it stopped coming on when we moved, hasn't been on the radio since. it's been 6 years.......
i heard this song while watching the trailer of "One day". Anne Hathaway played one of the lead role. My favorite line she said is "Whatever happens tomorrow we've had today." from that day on.... I keep on listening to this song. Have a great life everyone. Live without regrets and bitterness. And don't forget to smile and appreciate the people around you. Life is beautiful.
This song makes me think of my brother that passed away when I was 5 but now I’m 10 and I still have moments that I miss him and that he was born a month before he died
Dam. This song is so fuckin' serious for me. As soon as I started listening to it, oh Jesus, it helped me change back to my normal self. I can't stop playing it, cuz it touches my heart and makes me feel strong for myself. AMEN
this came up on the radio one day and we were listening to it pretty loud. They censored the bad word, but it was obviously there. When my mom heard it I was so scared that she'd just change the station, but she didn't. That has to be the best thing that she had ever done to me my whole life. Even though there is some crap in a song, the message is still happy. It doesn't matter what type of language is used, the intention is still good and still has a great affect on people. This will always remain my favorite song.
I live in California and i just joined a BMX team . Im the only girl and a freshman. I listened to this while doing my thing and the crowd was soo happy to see a girl do this.
This is what you need people...this song is what tells you it's not over if you give up now and don't fight remember you only have one chance to keep going...but a billion chances to turn it around for those of you who r having hard time please....keep going you got this
man, listening to this now, i remember the first time i heard it. at the cabin i heard it on the radio while we were sitting around the fire while staying up late when i was vith my grandparents and some of their friends. i miss those times.. and i miss you grandpa...
im crying right now cause you your and im sorry for your lost and its so touching to because mostly every msg i see says, my parents died and i dont care, that is what msg say😥😥😢😢
it did something like that for me , I remember when I heard it(I was on my way back of school, in a bus, it was beautiful with all the people not knowing it)
This would be a good song to blast after high school graduation, 'cause let's be real, life doesn't really begin until you walk out those doors for the last time.
I wrote a poem last week and edited it today.. Was feeling so down, thinking if i must ever post it. Somehow after listening to this song and dancing my upper body to it, seated... I somehow feel so nostalgic and inspired. Doesn't matter what other people think of it. I want to post it so I'm gonna. 😇
Grew up with domestic violence, a drunk mother, an absent father, bullying and sexual assault in school from 6th grade to 9th grade, had insane levels of depression since I was 10, a couple suicide attempts with scars and slight liver and kidney damage to prove it :P , got in trouble with the law which led to juvenile detention and prolonged probation, had many ridiculous teenage heartbreaks, and now I am almost 19 living with a family member with a serious need for a job before I get kicked out :D kinda dipped out on college as well. But I still see my life as a learning experience and see it as something to enjoy, there are A LOT of people that have it worst than me, but no matter what is happening there is always a reason to smile, always a reason to get back up after you fall, always a reason to have a good life, you just have to work towards improving your life and do things that you enjoy to keep yourself smiling and having fun. I hope everyone has a good day ;)
When i was 10 my sister used to blare One Republic on the radio and all you could smell was the scent of her perfume Curve Crush. This strikes so many memories. Its a love hate relationship
My college used this song for me and my classmates’ graduation ceremony video... plus I use this song on any Wattpad story I write which involves/includes a graduation scene only because, to me, it means that you make the most of your life and if you make it good from the start, the rest of your life will be good.
This song reminds me to appreciate my life and all the precious moments in it.

I first heard this song in 2011, after a cross-country move, a brand new start, and a whole new future ahead of me. Looking over the sparkling valley at night as this popped into my head was truly wonderful.
Jzork where did you move too?
This song just makes me miss everyone I love.
i love my life no matter how much i say i hate it. im putting this down in writing so i can i can look at it later if im mad sad or depressed and in need of a hug
+Theresa Bennett Many free hugs here my friend.

I'm the same funny ayy
see exactly. #SHMILES
Good memories
still listening in 2021.. really flash back all the memories🌌🌉🇲🇾💯

I love this. Thanks for cheerin up my night
MLGKREANTIGER23 God Bless You👣.
Hope you're doing okay bro 🙏🏾
how are you now?
hope your happy now :) that comment touched me,
This song so beautiful I can't even explain how amazing it sounds even after hearing it six years later. This is REAL music.
hey do you still remember your comment??after 5 years:-:/\/\
@@YustamaAlfidoReanoka lmao. 🤣 I forgot I even wrote this. I still listen to this song every now and then.
@@lovestadance wow i didnt expect that you reply my comment in only 5 minutes ...nice one
@@YustamaAlfidoReanoka yeah I had literally just opened the app when I got the notification. 🤣
Stay strong guys, those who passed away are proud of you, they're surely looking over your shoulder.
This could really be a good life.
❤❤❤
Geesh I Don't Know this made me smile
+Geesh I Don't Know
Your comment made me tear up and smile at the end. You are very strong. I hope you are living the good life right now :,)
Geesh I Don't Know God Bless You👣.
One republic makes me so upbeat and happy.
One Republic was one of my favorite bands growing up. This one of there songs that I really liked it always filled me with such optimism about the future. I occasionally come here, and listen, to remind myself that theres still golden moments ahead of me in my life that are yet to come. This is going to be a good life.
This song reminds me when I was in elementary school. My Mom would turn on the radio and this song came on quite often. I love it!!!!!!
This song reminds me of a wedding a few years ago as the couple entered the reception. The place erupted when this song played with people climbing up on chairs and singing, cheering and dancing with them as they entered. Never seen so many One Republic fans in my life, lol Needless to say, I think every single One Republic song ever invented was played that night.
if you ever get a chance,
when traveling (especially at night) listen to this. it only makes you feel absolutely peaceful
i remember listening to this on the radio when i was 10 on the road
Reappreciate what you got and who you are + enjoy yourself NOW, that's all I have to say -->.i say ohhh !
this song has never failed to lighten up my day
This song is forever in my memory... I haven't heard it since it first came out and I still know every word.
Listening to OneRepublic songs.....yes this has gotta be the good life!
This song helped me figure out my motto:
I’m wounded.
⬇️
Wounds heal
I never appreciated this song til i saw them do it live. That heavy percussion and the lead singer started humming and screaming, OMG.
MY GOD I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOREVER
one republic > one direction
I'm just in love with 2000-2010 music right now 👌👌👌
Listening on October 2021 anybody else? We need to stick together in this crazy world today. No more dividing us Americans. We really need to come together, it doesn’t matter what race, creed, we come from, we all bleed the same. Please
absolutely, and Especially, no more politics, should divide us any longer
like this evil Elites want us to be.
Sending Much love to my American, brothers and sisters from Texas.
💖♥️😀
Miss these types of music from when people wernt all about dirty stuff I rember when music was inspiring and modivating now it just brings u down
I absolutely agree
One republic has the best songs they are really good and it makes you have faith and hope in yourself I mean like I like the songs today but in 2011,2012,2013,2014. Those are songs to remember does anyone agree with me!?
Zita Blasdel
Yep yep
"when your happy like a fool let it take you over when everything is out you gotta take it in" I love that part and I feel like it has a really deep meaning behind it
I could listen to this all day.
This song makes me so glad like no other song in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE!
😂👌👍
This song always brings back so many memories
this song blasted me to the past
yess
same. i almost couldn't stand the nostalgia >.
Deffinetly. 💜
This song almost made me cry
Same here
This song makes me think of my cousins.I used to hear it with them all the time with then before i moved.
i heard this song while watching the trailer of "One day".
This song reminds me of beaches, late nights, warm days, and everything amazing about summer :)
same here :)
Makes me think of home
This song reminded me about my dead sister
Summer minus the terribly hot hot heat 🔥
Alexandria Faber same!!!!!!!
I remember listening to this in 2012 I think and it's 2016 and I still love it! :):):) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best song ever!! Credits to One Republic!!
I live in California and i just joined a BMX team . Im the only girl and a freshman. I listened to this while doing my thing and the crowd was soo happy to see a girl do this.
This is what you need people...this song is what tells you it's not over if you give up now and don't fight remember you only have one chance to keep going...but a billion chances to turn it around for those of you who r having hard time please....keep going you got this

it did something like that for me , I remember when I heard it(I was on my way back of school, in a bus, it was beautiful with all the people not knowing it)
This would be a good song to blast after high school graduation, 'cause let's be real, life doesn't really begin until you walk out those doors for the last time.
Harleigh Cutting this would be the best song to do that
Beautiful💓👣.
Well said. Well said. 😔

This song just makes me happy, like all of their songs.
I heard this song when I was about 3. Still remembered that whistle, but didn't know where it was from. Now I know!
It reminds me the past, when I used to be happy. Makes me wanna cry😞😢😢
Daniela Muñiz every moment has a purpose, you just need to stay strong and keep having strong faith and hope to keep your happiness

Daniela Muñiz you're welcome, I just didn't wanted to see you be upset

Hoping we, humanity can get back to days like this.
I hope everyone has a good day ;)
I always smile when I listen to this song
me too :')
me...too 😊😊😊
+Maddie Houston ME too i play it everyday before going to school brighten my day
+Maddie Houston yo tambien! nose porq razon! ::)
+Maddie Houston Me too. head and legs are moving too.
So much nostalgia
Edit: This way back when music was at its peak
This is such a simple song. Even the most simplest of songs have the greatest impact and effectiveness.
When i was 10 my sister used to blare One Republic on the radio and all you could smell was the scent of her perfume Curve Crush. This strikes so many memories. Its a love hate relationship
this song gives a lot of pride. their song secrets does too
People will live life to the fullest and when they do they will realize it was a good life.
My college used this song for me and my classmates’ graduation ceremony video... plus I use this song on any Wattpad story I write which involves/includes a graduation scene only because, to me, it means that you make the most of your life and if you make it good from the start, the rest of your life will be good.
This song takes me back 2 years. And it's as if I'm living it all over again. Haven't felt it this beautifully for a while now
Idk why, but i love the part when he say "Like this City is at Fire tonight" 😍
One Republic must make song like this again
This song is nice,it makes me remember of stuff 😢😢😢😢
“When you’re happy like a fool, let it take you overrr”
