To remove, just take out the center bolt on the cross brace. That way your bracket stays set where the saw needs to be positioned. You don’t need to pull the whole front bracket out to remove the saw. Plus, then you have the bolt out to put the front handle back on the saw.
Good call.
Thanks! After watching this video, I'm convinced I need one of these. Harbor Freight owes you some $$$. Excellent review.
Great review! Thank you for the step by step instructions! God bless! 🙏
I thought about trying to build something like this for my portaband. But then i bought a evolution miter chop saw
Probably the best choice as well as a straight cut are you going to stay with their blades or Diablo?
Is there anything that can be cut on your band saw setup shown here that I couldn't cut on either my 7.5" or 12" sliding miter saws with a high quality metal cutting blade?
anyone having issues getting their saw to cut straight in chop saw mode? I have adjusted and adjusted till everything is square, it will cut the very last bit at an angle
My blade seems to twist also. So does my Son's. I have the Hercules saw, and my Son has a Bauer. It's like the guide rollers are too far away from the cutting area or something. Frustrating!
There is another company that has the same features and they look identical. there called Portable Bandsaw Pro and there price is a whopping $379.00.
Are you talking about the MAXXT brand?
@@AnsonWong-nr5tx it’s called Portaband Pro
I've watched a lot of reviews for this and don't understand why no one is using cutting oil to cut metal.
Learn how to hold your camera so
Can you help me out ? I have a Milwaukee band saw plug in and the same portable stand but the blade is never straight even when I tighten the sides or loosen it , what do I do ?
Don't know if this will help. But it did with mine. There's 3 bolts in the rear of the stand. In between the two bolts on the hinges. If you are facing the saw from the front the first bolt on the right side closest to the hinge bolt is an adjustment bolt loosen and play with knobs. That should take care of it
Whats game changing about it? Genuine question?
I picked one up yesterday. Used it today in the upright position. I also picked up a foot pedal for my plug in band saw. I like it very much.
Do you think it would fit a deep cut Milwaukee corded bandsaw?
@@sw8741 yes. It has directions for Milwaukee in the manual
@@Jeffrose_ TY
Does this work with the rigid bandsaw
I'm sold! I have the WEN and it will fit (apparently)... I can now "save" my power miter saw from metal work!
It fits the wen!
Get a HF momentary foot switch and zip tie the trigger down. When you need the tool to run just depress the pedal with your foot.
How would you wire this in on a battery operated tool?
@@RichardBauer_ that is a good question, I’m sure it is possible with a little electrical engineering. Have to step down the voltage coming out of the outlet to meet the requirements for the battery powered tool. I personally don’t know how to do it but again, I’m sure it is possible. If you figure it out definitely make a video and share!
Do use the chopsaw part of it much? Or do you think it would be better to just get a dedicated upright mount from another company that doesn’t take up that extra space on the front of your bench and also has a slot in the table for a miter guage?
The front folds straight down when you use it in the upright position.
This guy is on my wish list as well but like you said my store is sold out as well, I love the mechanical switch, nice work on the vid
What a shame there's no clamp with the stand. The vise clamp is wobbly.
I have the same Milwaukee and Harbor Freight stand U R setting up!!! It is awesome. Thanks for the vertical table installation instructions. I didn't realize the vertical table was that easy to install!!!!
Next improvement will be an aftermarket blow mold case so you can stow everything together. I just got the stand and the hercules saw for it on sale for about $210. The case that came with the saw was pretty good too, but too good to throw away. The hercules was nice too because it doesn't have a trigger safety to mess with.
This is a fantastic kit, how can I buy Harbor Freight's New Game Changing Tool! Portable Band Saw Benchtop Table in Australia
i setup my m18 bandsaw in the verticle position with the includes bolt on table, on my m18 saw the safety button is simply a lock an unlock button, so i leave it unlocked, on the hercules switch i shaved one side of the on odd stop stem so that when i turn on the tool the trigger bar slides over the stem but still locks in place on the flat face on the other side
and no sparks , cold cutting is safer in home garage
Absolutely my type of tool absolutely
Good demonstration 😊
Very cool! Thanks for the review.
I messed around with this thing, its a bit flimsy and the clamp sucks, its a pass for me.. I use the Swag table for the portaband and use a Evolution low rpm carbide chop saw.
Save the money for a “real” bandsaw if you need precision.
It's definitely not flimsy, clamp works fine for me.
I love mine just got it also
Promo SM 😜
You can't find them, I have been going to three local harbor freight three months, keep hearing there still on the boats.
Ya they sell out fast.
Just bought this and am amazed at how good it works for $100!
I agree. I love mine
It's about time!! Awesome I will be making a trip to HF today! Thanks Robby!
Awesome. Good luck finding one lol. Hopefully their in stock
@@MuddyBeards4X4 Yeah they're not lol.
I'm assuming that it will not work with the corded models ??
It had instructions on corded models as well. So yes it should
@@MuddyBeards4X4 cool yes just looked it up . This is now on my to get list for shop. Good deal for small shop.
Get a corded one then add the foot switch
Wouldn't a chop saw do better?
Apparently you haven't tried making precision cuts with both. Spoiler alert!!!! It doesnt walk or deflect like a chopsaw blade. It also makes the portable badsaw more versatile eliminateing the need for a stationary bandsaw for most people.
@@mikecostello3147 automotive cuts i would say aren't quite precision cuts you aren't building a particle accelerator lol aka roll cages bumpers roof racks. I have had zero issue building all of the above with only a chop saw, notcher, welder and grinder.
What size is your Milwaukee?is it 5 inch
Looks like it doesn’t need a lot of dialing in like a big bandsaw like playing with belts and tension adjustments
This thing isn't capable of making a s straight cut to save its life. The blade drifts and its never square. Piece of garbage.
Anyone know if it works with a Dewalt portable bandsaw ?
It does come with brackets for a Dewalt.
