Yes, she has many similarities to CA. Also, she is clearly the apple of her grandmother's eye. My guess would be the adults that care for her would have made much better use of the level of support that has been offered and given to CA's mother than CA's mother has. Sadly, it really brings home the desperate situation that CA is in unless something major happens to put her mother's head in the right place.

The younger lady in this video is the older sister of Duong Hoa's mom. The father left due to the mom's illness (not sure if they were referring to the sister's husband or Duong Hoa's dad). Also, since Troy asked Duong Hoa if she misses her dad at 18:53, they mentioned that the youngest brother acts as the father figure to all 3 kids. Grandma kinda shushed Troy because she didn't want her grandkid(s) to be sad or to be reminded that they don't have a father etc.

They prey on people's sympathies to buy the lottery tickets which are essentially worthless. Giving more money just makes it worse. There are many stories about Vietnamese who gambled their entire life savings away in just a year. My parents personally know a few who owned over 10 homes and was very rich, but they gambled everything away and they are homeless now.

First of all it’s the grandmother and second of all most poor country have bad s3x education and besides that they can’t afford contraception. I can say the same for some people who live in an educated&rich country who told them to reproduce themselves while they shouldn’t have at all. And by that i don’t even mean mentally ill people, but people who have brains and don’t want to use them🙄
Don’t heap it all on the mothers. They are doing their best, working hard, feeding the kids... and by all evidence, showing love, care and affection. Where are the men supporting their families, you might ask?
