100%, it literally helped, and I was like “damn you hit ME with that”, but now that I see tons of people talking bout it, it feels even more powerful, knowing that the fact that we all see this so poetic may mean that is it an absolute truth and rule of life.

Didn't really smoke, nor did I like it much until I was 24(29 now) and when I started smoking, my life improved dramatically as, without it I'm a very angry/rage filled person who doesn't enjoy a fucking thing lol. Weed is not as harmless as people make it out to be. I know kids that should've been national champion wrestlers in college that wasted it away by smoking, watching netflix, and drinking. I do think it should be legal, but I do think moderation is key with weed. Among many of the top performers I know, most of them are sober or sober most of the time.

First time I comment on your videos, but this is so relevant for me rn.
I quit smoking almost 2 months ago after a summer of more days high than not, and feeling a lot of the consequenses, that you describe.
I trusted my aunt who recommended me to read a book from NA(Narcotics Anonymous) and perhaps attend a meeting. I met some people that I related to on a very deep level, that I couldn't describe with words (super weird but important experience)
You are so right, when you say, that everything we want from weed, we find sober.
I can highly recommend some of the material from NA, and just trying to take a 2 month break and see how you feel.

This really is a true description of the ups and downs on quitting weed. My journey (in terms of how your experience was with weed) was almost identical in terms of year started smoking to how I felt when I quit to relapsing on using it again. I’m turning 25 in November I’m almost at my year of sobriety. But yeah man for people who truly love smoking weed as their social choice or that thing to get away from what’s going on in life it can be the toughest thing to give up. It was for me, still is. Sounds like you take it day by day I like that. Great video

I'm so proud of you! I used to smoke a lot too, but it didn't really affected my life. It was like something I do just because I liked it, not because I needed it. One day, I don't even remember when, I just thought "I don't feel like smoking today", and it's been probably around a year now. Weed, just like everything in this life, needs to be used wisely. It really helped me spiritually and mentally. It helped me learn more about myself and the things I love. I remember every time I smoked, I just listened to what my body wants. For example, I smoke and sit in silence for 5 - 10 minutes, than my body tells me it needs some exercise, so I get up and go out with my bike. I say it's not something bad, but its definitely something you should be careful with. For the people who suffer from weed, get in touch with yourself first, don't let it be the thing that makes you happy. Learn what makes you really happy when you're sober, than you'll see that its better than the fake dopamine your addictions give you. Much love from me! Stay strong

Mad respect for posting such a transparent video bro. I know this one has been on your mind for a long time. I once saw you tweet “weed has taken away so many men’s full potential.” In that moment I knew you had smoked and you were getting over it, knew it was a matter of time until you spoke about it publicly. You are right though, the ability to maximize your potential when sober is unmatched. ❤

"... because without smoking, I've been forced to find all my joy and fulfillment through the journey of becoming a better man."
Your experience with weed is almost identical to mine (at least in regards to the amount and timeline). I'm in the process of quitting now, and it's been tough. This quote you said resonated with me and motivates me more than anything I've heard on the subject though. It's just so true. With weed, you can be in a shitty place, and slowly be getting worse, but still feel content, until one day things get so bad you're forced to face them. Best to quit before hitting rock bottom.

Really hit home for me. I've been smoking for 8+ years and for a while now I've been at that stage you mentioned where I know I want to stop. My family all smoke and its completely normalized in my house. I've tried to quit multiple times but always end up back in bed, smoking and watching TV like nothing happened.
It feels like it's almost a part of myself at this point. When I try and quit, day to day life almost feels alien to me. I get easily frustrated with everything, my anxiety seems to get turned up to 11 and all I can think about is smoking.
This video has made me look at quitting a little bit differently as all the things you spoke about felt very familiar. I think I'm gonna give quitting another go very soon as it seems to have really positively affected your life and your headspace. I've never managed to make it out of that first month of quitting so that's something I'll aim for this time around.
Thank you for making the video, it's good knowing that these aren't things that only I'm experiencing.

same, i think it may have something to do with when you start. I didn't start until after I left the military, and I was 26. Maybe its because my brain was fully developed or something like that. Don't really think its good to start really young for sure. It helps with my anxiety, PTSD, and most surprisingly, my ADHD. Don't really hear people talking about it helping with their ADHD, and I kind of figured that out by accident, but my chores are done for the first time in my life every day and I'm not embarrassed of my room or car anymore.

Yes, this video feels a bit one-sided. Unfortunately, it doesn't go into how many people have been massively helped by the consumption of weed. On the other hand, you should of course be a bit careful if you only consume it for pleasure. It's like everything in life: too much of one thing is usually not healthy.

Weed opened a door in my life i still can’t close. It makes reality seem inferior. Once the threshold of ignorance is peeled, trauma leaks through and euphoria becomes the escape. The higher you get, the harder you crash after every trip.
The second threshold is crossed when you realise that it’s the actual problem. Then the internal war begins. Some have conquered, none have failed, goodluck on your fight. 🙏

Everything is boring af literally EVERYTHING! I don’t find purpose in life anymore.
My head hurts, my stomach hurts, I have chills, I can’t sleep for nothing! Not even melatonin pills help me.
If I try to sleep seems like I’m sleeping but I’m awake at the same time. I don’t rest.
Mi life sucks now, I’m depressed, anxious, moody, my family hates me they say I was happier when I smoked they say I look like a homeless now, I try to change and I can’t.
I just hate this and idk why I stopped in the first place I just decided to try it out not smoking and it’s not going well.
When I smoked I had motivation to workout, prep my meals, I used to go out, fishing, travel etc, now I’m just home, I’m my room, laying down (after work) not wanting to go out or have fun, I don’t cook anymore, I cancelled my gym membership cuz is just boring.
My life is a disaster now. I don’t believe those people that say. “I stopped smoking and I have energy im new man, I’m happier BS!!” Is not all that ITS WORSE!!!!!!

You still sober bro? I understand where you’re coming from but something you need to understand is that the reason you feel this way is because weed has absolutely engrained itself into the physiology of your mind. It has become the definition of a dependency. Without it life is just worse. That is a substance that you are dependent on to live what you now define as “normally” I smoked straight wax every day for a year and it took me months to actually feel like I wanted to be sober. Most of that time is just you going through straight up withdrawals from something you used to have whenever you wanted it. You will feel happy and excited again. Most of all you will feel free. Free to be at peace in your own body without the need for outside stimulation. It’s a super tough road and I think it’s awesome that you tried to begin with. I’m not against weed even in my own life but it needs to be a special experience. Not just your regular way of being or it loses its sparkle over time. No matter what good luck with what you choose and sometimes learning that something isn’t for you is just as valuable as finding out you love something. Peace.

I reeked therapy for a month didn’t work Dr gave me antidepressants and didn’t help I got worse developed suicidal thoughts due to antidepressants so Dr discontinued them.

First of all I can't remember the last time where I completed a video on UA-cam without moving my mouse to check where I'm at and how much is left of it and I really enjoy watching longer vids, your narration is really on point. Besides that, I am no way near an addict (I smoke maybe once every couple months or so with friends), but GOD did this video motivate me and reminded me that if I'm not struggling towards a change then chances are I will never reach it, and lastly it is seriously impressive to go a year without smoke considering the amount you used to consume mad respect for that, it seems to me that the very first time you felt like quitting which started that cycle of going on and off is what allowed this to happen in the first place, even if you ended up going back to gas multiple times afterwards, it's that small initiative you took that probably made it clear to you that you do recognize that it's a problem which is the main step to recovery. So yeah no matter for how long you've kept that cycle going it is always an active form of you facing the problem so you should also be proud of that phase, it should be a constant reminder that you were constantly making efforts to battle that dependency no matter how inconsistent it may have looked.
