on the contrary sir/ma ukwuanis were never south east Igbos and their minds and reasoning are sharper than you think we joined up with our closer benins urhobos etc to form the mid wesr region.what you hear us speak is better described as a lingua franca dialect reflecting our multi heritage and multi lineages with Benin urhobo etc elements in it .ukwuani is founded by several clans ,the ebohs,benins, urhobos, itsokos ,igalas ,, Igbo groups down to Ijaws. arriving at different periods over 1500 to 2000 plus yrs and not an homogenous group or homogenous Igbo group as south east groups. We are not an Igbo group,our parents were never an Igbo group and we don't have any bearings with Igbo as an identity. given our multi cross lineage background. The problem is until it comes to the ikwere situation where a stern warning is issued to you you guys keep disturbing peoples peace with your Igbo tag, ikwere is a multi non homogenous group.We are likewise and are the privileged ukwuani heritage.

@@leonardorjioffor6683 the reason there is no consultation is because expansionists are very coy and are always playing an end game not known to groups they wish to emasculate or force an alien identity on . Expansionists are groups or individuals that do not endorse or regard other ethnicities at heart and explains a lot of their tendencies and calculations. They are basically bigots. The Irsh and Scotts are fighting hard to get off the grips of their expansionist emasculators but the celts and Welsh are not as lucky and have become relics of an heritage and totally now subjected to an identity their parents never gave them. Any one who says he is Celtic or Welsh is merely commemorating a remembrance or conducting a memorial of his carelessly lost heritage. Your problem is ignorance. I challenge you to name just one historian (Nigerian or foreign) who has written any scholarly work that supports your position. The very names "Ukwuani" and "Anioma" are Igbo words.
Ukwuani's foremost academic (Prof. BIC Ijomah) has written extensively proclaiming that the Ukwuani are Igbo and not Benin. Compared to his intellect, you are a dwarf.
I bet you have never heard of Dr. Paul O. Opone (PhD). He is a a native of Kwale and a foremost Ukwuani historian. In fact he is the only academic historian whose primary focus is Ukwuani history. He has written extensively on Kwale being Igbo (not just "Delta Igbo"). If I gave you a link to his publications, would it help towards curing your identity crisis and ethnic schizophrenia?

The Ukwuani people have NEVER been in the same Region or Zone with the Igbos since the creation of Nigeria.
We were part of the :
1. South-West
2. Mid-West
3. Bendel
4. Delta / South-South
The same problem we're facing in Nigeria today due to a forced union between the South and the North is what Sen Ned Nwoko is embarking on. The pertinent question is: who did he engage before arriving at this decision that we want Anioma state or want to be part of the South- Eastern part of Nigeria. There must be discussions as well as agreement before proposing such a bill.

The Anioma every one knows as anioma exclusive of IKA and ukwuani were the ones themselves over decades going clamoring for a state in the south east -igbo. Pertinent to your fine reasoning why not consult with ukwuanis themselves or IKA s themselves if they are interested in the move. Before any due consultations you just label both Ukwuani and areas you ve never bothered to consult as Aniomas , when and how? This is always my concern with South eastern igbos and those in league with them , CONSULT FIRTS! before dragging people where you want to go or into what you want to do or if you want to tag or label them with any tag.
