@@bradwalton3977 This short literally showcases the hardships and unequal treatment women go through, the roles are reversed here to point out the double standards and hypocrisy of anti feminists denying equal rights and treatment to women. At the end of the film the men (the real life equivalent would be women) storm the locations the women(men) dominate and take control of it. It’s implying that real life women should challenge the status quo and defend themselves from domestic and patriarchal oppression.
@@AmusingMusic Yes, it was surely Guy's intention to reverse roles in order to expose as jarringly as possible some of the worst male behaviour: in particular "masherism" (sexually aggressive behavior) and excessive, alcohol fueled partying in the local pub -- or perhaps the fault criticized was merely excessive absenteeism from the domestic sphere. I do not know exactly how common this behavior was, but it was popularly complained of. I would note, however, that this behavior was _not_ socially sanctioned. It was widely criticized by men as well as women.
@@bradwalton3977 So what youre saying is you know more about the early 1900's than a woman who lived through that period, AND you know more about the message of the movie than the film director herself. Thanks for proving our point.
Alice was a genius.

Estrogenius!
Prophetic.
Knew there would be some dumbass comments missing the point of the film, but sad this is the only one down here.
@@nikkilee3840 Why don't you set me straight? That would be worth a laugh.
