अविनाशि तु तद्विद्धि येन सर्वमिदं ततम् |
विनाशमव्ययस्यास्य न कश्चित्कर्तुमर्हति || 17||
avināśhi tu tadviddhi yena sarvam idaṁ tatam
vināśham avyayasyāsya na kaśhchit kartum arhati
🪔On the contrary, know that to be imperishable by which all this is pervaded. None can destroy that which is immutable.

🪔These bodies that perish are said to pertain to the eternal Self that is embodied - the eternal Self, that is imperishable and indeterminable. Therefore, fight, O scion of the Bharatas!

Namaskaram. I'm 3 yrs late and this lecture was given earlier. Reg: 2.16, I've thought a great deal. There're "two kinds of Truth" each faces daily, though Truth is only One, viz, paramartika satyam and vyavaharika satyam. T's the latter which "creates" the whole drama!!

Thank you Swami for your lectures… One consciousness pervading or one Consciousness that makes the entire us… the same divine in everyone… loving each other with this understanding that what is in me is in you too… and bow down to that reality… I agree and believe it completely… however, how to bow down in front of a person/persons who commit crime on innocent people in the name of stupidity, let it be religion, nationality or anything that someone identifies with?? Why is that the real essence in all of us behaving so differently in each of us? Could be Karma, but how to forget and forgive those who commit crime… giving inconsolable pain to others? I don’t know if these questions make any meaning at all… just confused 🙏🙏
I read swamivikananda and he said that a man has to follow the laws of the land where he stays .. as per the crime committed he will be punished by the law and if we are witnessing this then we should peacefully let it happen without any anger inside us ... If I am the jailer i will take him to to jail and feed him or provide him the facilities as per the law in the jail.... But where do we fail ....? We fail when we start taking actions on our own .... Generally if people come to know that a person has committed a crime, the criminal inside the people comes into existence and starts beating or abusing the accused.... How did we become like that suddenly it is because most of us are having the same potential but we are somewhat concious and once we get to show our anger we tend to show on anyone....
So we have to keep in mind that as soon as we are aware about a criminal with all efforts we should knock the door of the law and we should remember the after the law of God the only divine and supreme law is the law of land .... Without any anger we should patiently let the man suffer his karma but we shall never abuse him or try to harm him as it will affect our karma ....

if the all pervading Nitya, Isness or Existence which is also Nishkriya (like the Sun) is borrowed by the objective world for its existence, who decides that the object needs to die/perish? Who decides, Maya/intellect or Consciousness that the body should die?
1. Objects never existed. They seem to exist .
2. Seemingly things are not reality.
3. nature of reality (truth) is that it never ceases to exist.
4. as far as there is an experience of one as body mind which again is expression of reality(brahman) and body mind level of perceiving will see things as form and name and conditions at this level, these appearances of brahman will live and die, and realising or elevating oneself from this perception of name form is enlightenment.
To answer your question "who decides " our part identifying ourselves as body Mind and has accepted conditions at this level of projection of brhaman also accepts "material" death. But it is ultimately a wave collapsing and merging back into water.
If all of us is the same reality (worms, people, mosquitos...) and the practical implication is respect, then why is He encouraging Arjuna to fight?
To me this is a BIG controversy

Hello Sir, One question. If every living being is atman and that this atman just takes a form, then, suppose when someone kills someone what has just happened? I mean has nothing happened at all? Is that what the vedanta says? If that is so then on what basis is an atman punished and sent to naraka or swarga?
One Body has killed another body , due to certain vasanas of subtle shareer. The punishment will be given to the embodied jiva. Karma will decide the merits and demerits.
Swami ji,Unless Constituent of waves ,pot or ornament are given a particular size and shape by someone it remains it's potential constituent only, so who is that who gives shape ,size and name to objects when Brahman acquires a particular shape and size which are , in fact ,not real .Is it Maya , who does this to give us a witness of the existence or Brahman.
Or is it Brahman itself only who appears as Maya to make us realise isness.
I shall be grateful if Swmaiji or someother soul clarifies it to me

The consistent advertisement interruptions during the interesting spiritual talks is contradictory to the very essence of this spiritual teachings. Imagine live commercials popping up in front of swami's talk every few mins selling their products?! Nothing is sacred anymore these days, greed overtakes every aspects of our lives. If commercials are necessary why not show at the beginning of each video?
Instead you should appreciate this ultimate knowledge that even if you're given bhagavad gita to read by yourself only u would end up without knowing the deeper meaning. Be greatFull to the little.....
