Thanks to the great gorgeous presence of Lourdes Novoa and her perfectly danced Zulma with stunning renverse combres and silky smooth arabesque turns topped with Cuban /European elegance and style this otherwise forgettable Giselle with a tecnica sloppy Bocca missing customary music cues, (He did it at ABT at the Met all the time ) along with the most horrible, amateur Myrtha I have ever seen and can only conclude that close ties to the regime cast her, this would have been a total loss of time for us and the audience who suffered through it, with it's polite applause. Thank you Habanero ! The corps was it's usual brilliant self.
Silvia Bazilis was first ballerina at Colon Theater Opera House at Buenos Aires City.Argentina. Her debut as solista was in 1974 with the full version of La Sylphide by Pierre Lacote and promoted to firs ballerina when she replaced at last minute to Maximova on Giselle and her partner was Ivan Vasiliev ( Maximova ‘s husband) Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
