  • This may be the most exciting video we have posted to date! MONUMENTAL finds! That’s all that I can say. Randy was home from Savannah, Kenneth and Spike were here and so were the PineBeltRelics guys as well as our host Jeremy. It was an epic day of artifact hunting. We promise you don’t want to miss this one.

I’m not sure if it’s been stated by anyone but that spray bottle work is world class! Someone pulls it out of the dirt and without having to ask, that faithful spray bottle is right where it needs to be making it shine like a new penny

Ive been looking a year along the octoraro creek in south eastern Pennsylvania a creek off the susquehanna river for arrow heads from the susquahanok tribe and still have had just no luck you guys make it look so easy

Keep looking. You'll find them. We do make it look easy but you don't see the hundreds of hours of looking without anything to show for it. Your greatest tool could be something most never consider, networks. Join arrowhead groups on Facebook, Instagram or UA-cam. Join an archaeological club or group in you state/area. Make friends with like minded people and share information with them. Someone may give you some great pointers. Good luck.

I actually went out today and found my first artifact I found a Nutting stone/ hammer stone. Looks like one side was the hammer other side was the Nutting side. I'm really excited. I looked on a gravel bar for heads and I saw a red rock that just don't belong around here and there it was a artifact

Great finds fellas.... I found part of a jug with handle in Colorado springs just outside of the 3rd gate at fort Carson. Found a clear quartz point but it was damaged. As clear as it was it would have been an amazing artifact.... What you fellas found there was levels above the clearest of points. Good luck on future hunts an may your friend rest well until you meet again✌️

How about a rundown of the different relics you guy's found? It would be interesting to get a name and information about each piece as well as approximate time they may have been made. Maybe the rarity and methods typically used creating them. I think it would be cool to find out the different places they could have harvested the material they used especially for the last piece!

Guys a digging suggestion , get you some bamboo plant stakes , then cut them to 12-16” long. I leave one end rounded and the other end carve it 1” long by 1/2 the diameter of your stick. You now have one the best digging sticks to gently remove delicate artefacts from your dig . The bamboo diameter should be 1/2” to 3/4”. It is one fine tool for detailed removal of artefacts and very light weight to carry. Hope you find this tip useful ,
I wish you well pilgrim, Chuck Thompson , Lyons,GA

Hey guys, you are a lot of fun to watch and I love the artistic displays at the end!
I also love when you include a blurb about what it is, time frame/age, possible native peoples, etc...the educational part makes you different that the others!
Curious if you track and report your findings so that the archeological world can learn from your work? You know, place/date/depth/context, etc...MIcah Hanks and that crew out of N. Carolina (Seven Ages is the Podcast) are really trying to get artifact hunters to work with scientists/archeologists through documentation to further fill in the history/story of what actually was happening in ancient Americas. You probably already know about them, but if not, I think you would like them a lot!

Really cool. First time watching your videos. Here is a crazy story. I'm from northern Ohio. After the fields are ploughed, you can walk and find projectile points. Ive done this a few times. So, my dad moves to Amarillo Texas. We go and play golf up near a town NE of their. I shank my ball into this waste on a dog leg hole. As I'm searching, I notice a weird circle of stone pieces. It just looked unnatural. Then I notice the center section of a long projectile point. About 2 inches long. I grabbed it. And went back to show my dad. Sadly I didn't realize that it may have been a sight where they sat down and made a bunch of projectiles. I researching it after the fact, I realize that in that area, they often did that. We dont live in Texas anymore, but I still plan on going back.

When I was a kid I remember my grandfather had several coffee cans full of arrow heads and points that he had found in his back yard. He figured there was an Indian camp there from all the relics in such a small area.

And he was right. There was at least one occupation and maybe others several hundred or even thousands of years apart. If it was a good place for one group to live it was a good place for another.

@@HeartbreakerRelics lots of local native history. A couple years ago the city was doing some sewer work and dug up a couple old indian graves. There was a battle in the area back in the day.

Man i am adicted to finding airowheads in feilds! I want to get into escavateing during the growing seson. What typ of land and permition do you need to find these? I think i can locate spots but dont know were to start!

Here is a video that should help you. As for permission, you just have to ask. Use an app like OnX Hunt to find property owners and in some cases contact information. Promise to leave the land better than you found it.

No matter what your woods hobby is, they all give that same living feeling. The people that don’t have a hobby which involves researching the land and habitats, trial and error, many miles on foot and in car and boat and looking for days, months, years, sometimes decades for something that would on the surface seem insignificant, they will not understand that out of breath excitement that will have grown men giggling like school girls. When you see it in books or online or whatever so many times and then to find it in the randomness of circumstance in the wild and have it in your hands….there’s nothing like it. There really isn’t

I’m a girl, and I always was off digging in the dirt, and running with the boys. I LOVE stuff like this. Don’t care if I get dirty either. I know you have probably been asked this question but I am hoping you can have patience and answer it for me. I notice that there are always arrowheads grouped almost together. Do you know why? Was this some sort of campsite for the tribe or a battlefield? Could you let me know?

    • @HeartbreakerRelics
      @HeartbreakerRelics  3 роки тому

This was a multicultural campsite. Different folks lived here at different times over thousands of years, not continuously though.

My husband and I were hunters for years in Delaware. We were only allowed to "surface hunt" here.
It is illegal to dig, even on private property. Our artifacts were labeled and kept in site numbered boxes. Delaware has properties numbered on maps they give out
. Digs like yours will get a high ratio of points because you hit a campsite not plowed. Here we have Lenni lenape and Nanicoke tribes still in area. They have a museum where you can take collections to preserve. We gave talks to school children and displayed our nicest collection at Heritage Day and Delaware Archaeological Museum, Dover, Delaware. My husband became the President of Delaware Archaeological Society because he wanted to be more involved with educating people about arrowheads.
