Hey there,
In this video I take a look at Flex Seal pool patch and repair kit. I test flex tape exactly as recommended by the manufacturer. Additionally I try tape inside and out separately. Finally I try flex glue on flex tape to see if that helps. Check out my full review right here.

As always have a great day!
Any time you patch any thing , no matter what kind of patch ,ALWAYS Round off your corners with scissors ,never leave a patch square round the corners ...flex seal products are AMAZING... Seriously... I had a hole in bottom of 15,000 gal pool mole chewed a hole .lol? I put flexseal in hole then patch over its been 3 years with water staying in year around its still holding ..I made the patch ...changing this year sense they have actual patches now ...truly amazing.. THANK YOU FLEXSEAL
Absolutely, that's a great tip! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍 🙂
I didn't round mines its at bottom of the pool and I only patched the top of hole... I hope it still works...as its already half filled...no leak so far...I'm hoping the gravity and weight of water will keep it down . I did put a medicine ball and brick over it as the water is filling
Flextastic demo, Jeff! We're glad our Pool Patch & Repair Kit is working for you. 💪🏊♀️
it certainly was flextastic, and stopped the leak!
I just bought two rolls about 3 days ago and tryed it out. Results were not good at all, did not work one bit 🤔
Useless patches if it's not on a flat part of the pool
AMAZING!!! I bought a roll for a pipe leak under my RV and it worked wonderful. I know it is suppose to be a quick temporary fix but it's still holding up perfectly and it's been about 4 months since my husband put it on!
Great job FLEX TAPE!!!!!
@@jesusdelgado3959 Call customer service, send your RECEIPT with the tape and they will refund you.
I bought a roll and it worked perfect. What was you trying to fix??? I don't understand why you bought 2 rolls and neither worked for you. You have to be the ONLY person in the world that buys 2 rolls at a time and both rolls didn't work.
Thanks for the informative videos Jeff! The addition of the "flex glue" to the "flex tape" makes me feel more comfortable with using it again on our 24 ft above ground pool. I used flex tape when it first came out on the same on the same hole in the pool, but there was no glue at the time to reinforce it. The pool water level is down about a foot now to where the hole is... The glue should definitely help it hold up longer than the first time I patched it. I appreciate you "diving" into this! 😉 Thanks again! #GoBills 🏈🏆
I just watched your video because I have a seam that came apart on our 16'x42" pool. I tried the glue with a small patch over a part that had frayed a bit, but wasn't sold. I'm going to buy some flex seal tape and then not only flex glue the seam together, but then tape it inside and out. Thanks for such a thorough video!
Awesome test! I sure appreciate it because I do have a pool. No leaks yet, but now I know what to do when I do get a leak. Thank you for this.
Lol...leaks are bound to happen. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
That very impressive! I am impressed by how great it worked! And I was skeptical at first! Thanks for the great test video! 📹 👌😎👍✌nice job!
I was really impressed too. I especially liked the flex glue with flex tape. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thanks for the review. We're die hard Bills fans. GO BILLS!!!!
Absolutely and Go Bills! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
flex tape was used for about 3 years I had to replace the tape holding the 4 inch crack about once a year. When you start seeing lines start to show and puff up it was replaced. hot tub had regular use. Every time I replaced the tape I got to it before any leaks that would of caused water damage. The trick is making sure you dont get lines or bubbles making sure the seal is sealed without any bubbles or lines. one roll 3 years for 4 inch crack. but I made sure I covered the leak going about 6 inches past the crack all around to insure long lasting bond.
I used the black tape inside .u pool on the floor to seal a patch. It worked for a little bit. Looking forward to use the clear.
Thanks, You been a big help.
Bruh... thank you so much you've just saved my kids summer...
That's great to hear! Happy swimming 🏊♂️
Thanks for the video, I'll probably try this method. Have a slow leak in my small above ground. Heard good reviews on gorilla's patch and seal. Didn't work as advertised, for me at least.
We used the regular waterproof Flex tape on our pool about 3 years ago and it is still leak free.
That's cool! Thanks for sharing.
Please how big is your pools need what side is the leak ?
Did you apply it underwater? That's what I need to do. Not sure I'll be successful.
Great job helped me out alot .
Happy to help. Let us know how your patch went. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Great video, very thorough
Glad you liked it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Make sure to round those corners. As you already saw, the hard corners will be a "peel" point. Would be best if the patch is an oval or round.
Nice advice.
That's a great tip! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Very informative.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
Thank you !!!
You are most welcome!
Omg reminds me of billy maze here with the flex seal patch
Always make your patch circular to avoid corners
Absolutely. Great tip. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Thank you so much now I have a little more faith in this tape
When a pro came ut and repaired my inground liner last year, he used just a piece of pool liner and some glue, so using expensive flex tape plus glue seems a little redundant...
They probably used HH-66 and a piece of liner. That stuff is pretty strong. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Going to try the flex tape on leaking jets on hot tub . Wish me luck
Let me know how it goes!
I think it worked. Due to how my above ground pool is built i can not patch the outside due to metal frame. So i just patched the inside, it stuck and I assume it sealed, but only time will tell now...
I have had occasions of having to patch holes in an air mattress. To fix the corners problem I recommend cutting you patch into an oval or a circle, so there are no corners.
Great tip. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
Thank you . Can I repair aleek in the washing machine rubber?
Question: I need to repair the top part of a wide venetian-style vinyl mini-blind. The top of the blind that houses the cords and the mechanism for raising and lowering the blinds and also fits into the mounting brackets secured to the wall broke into two pieces. This blind is about 6 feet wide and just about 3 feet from top to bottom. The end of the housing which broke off is the end where the cords to raise and lower the blind come through the wall of the housing. That end of the housing has to withstand pulling the cords downward to raise the blinds and little jerking to to unlock the cords so that the blinds can be lowered. The repair at the end of the housing is going to have to withstand being pulled downward and being jerked sideways and downward to free the cords. It looks like I will have to reinforce the mounting so the housing is resting on a small shelf. Modifying the mounting should keep the housing rigid enough to reduce some of that downward pressure. Which tape and which adhesive would do the best job of holding the parts together?
You would need something a lot stiffer than tape...also consider the cost and time of the repair, you may be better off replacing the blinds entirely. I picked up a set from lowes for $50...and they cut them to fit. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Any suggestions for when the tear is next to the plastic ring around the drain plug?
It didn’t even stick to the bottom of the pool and wasn’t even sticky anymore after it got wet
Have you tried the glue with the tape? I had to patch the bottom of my pool last season and that worked.
Same problem, here. Followed instructions to a T. Once in pool, it wouldn’t adhere. Total junk.
Same..didn't work
It did not work whatsoever!! 3,600 gallons gone overnight and while I was at work the next day
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video. Go Bills! The Bills are due in 2025!
I just bought a pool. I have 2 leaks but they’re at the seams but at the bottom. I noticed all the holes you show are higher. Any idea how this product will work at seams? Thanks.
That’s crazy that you got a roll that was wrinkled are you going in those flat and I used a flat utensil that they use for applying glue to the tiles and floor
Works for me just on the inside for 3 seasons
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Didn't stick patch floated away. Followed directions completely. Didn't stick on the out side either. Gorilla underwater tape didn't stick either. I give up
I know this is a test. Though I'd always do these repairs dry. As you're going to get a better seal.
Hello I was impress with the video, does this tape works on a air mattress, I would like see a video thanks
How long did this last? Got a pool 3 days ago. Noticed today a tiny pinhole and don't wanna waste 15 bucks and it only last a week
I'd cut out a circle, as the points of the tape will allow it to start peeling up.
My pool filter housing has a small crack and it leaks. Could I use this product to seal the crack from the inside of the filter?
❤where do I find it and how much is the flex,my tank is linking plse.
Hii bro ...can we use this in air pools..
My doubt is if it is necessary to use a big patch just for an small hole? Probably we can use the half of the patch and save material.
That makes sense to me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
the only application i see it for is fixing rain gutters leaks. or fixing kiddie pool. I tried it. doesn't work for walls. For walls I recommend the spray or patch with concrete.
When people see the patches just say " the local church gave us this pool ... It was holy" 🤣
Lol. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
ALWAYS ROUND CORNERS TO PREVENT THEM FROM LIFTING
Can this waterproof anything? I was thinking of taping this to the foundation of my house.
I have had great success with flex glue clear and flex tape for water proofing. I have not tried them on a foundation...depending on how large of an area that needed to be sealed there are other products to seal foundations
Will it work in pool Inflatables?
We tried this 3-4 different times and would not work for us. After watching this video I had high hopes but unfortunately this does stuff doesn’t work! Do no waste your money
Did you use flex glue and tape?
Have you tried this on anything inflatable?
Wonder if this would work on air mattresses.
Flex company says it does not work on air mattresses. You should use a vinyl weld or air mattress patch.
@Momina Ansari thanks for sharing.
👍
Have you tried it on an air mattress, and what product wud u recommend
I wouldn't use the tape on an air mattress. I've used a vinyl weld in the past and have had some success. It's difficult with air.
@@Jeffreviews4u any ideas for an air mattress tho but ty all the same
That pool is too small to test. Try it on a huge pool with 6000 gallons of water pushing on the wall.
Did you use the glue and tape on the inside? That would help
Although a temporary patch, I've had the best result using flex glue and flex tape. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Can you use the pool patch to repair an air mattress? I can’t find the inflatable repair kit anywhere, and I don’t live anywhere that has Amazon.
Of course
👍 thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I'm thinking of this for fishing waders. Anyone else try this?
Go bills!
Oh yeah! GO BILLS
Just wonder about bottom of pool?? Stupid pee rocks still went through cloth under pool.
I had a hole in the bottom of my pool before, and yes the patch worked - well sort of...it seemed like it still leaked but not as fast. I ended up changing the liner the next year. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Go Bills
Oh yeah - GO BILLS!
flex seal tape didn't work well for me. Gorilla tape held better for me
My hole is at the bottom of my liner. Judging by the comments, this WILL NOT work very well!! 😕
Flex tape doesn't work that well. The flex tape peels.
That was way too much glue and u didn’t spread it I wouldn’t do that Just enough is the best
It didn't work
Did you use the glue and the tape? I've had the best results with both. I used it on my pool liner last season and it lasted the rest of the year. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
The tape
No Flex Seal didn’t work!!!!
This stuff is horriable.
Neither product works underwater on a gunite pool. 0/10. Completely useless product.
Your Flex Seal Pool & Patch Repair Kit is Garbage, it's false advertising, it's No Good
Go Buffalo! 🦬 💙❤️ great review 👍
