- The name of the district Phek is derived from the word “Phekrekedze” meaning watch tower. Phek was a sub-Division under Kohima District, looked after by an additional Deputy Commissioner with effect from 1957 till it was upgraded to a full - fledged District on 21 Dec. 1973
My childhood I was in Phek ,I studied in Assam Rifles School as well Govt High School, Phek. I remember my life In Phek alot. Today after long time I can see Phek view Thank You Very Much.

Phek Town has developed a lot since I left 8 yrs ago. I miss the cool weather there and the pan shop at cloak tower 😅.

It depends upon what you want to see. Eg. Mt. Saramati in Kiphire is an exceptional site for adventurous people.
