This video brought back sooooo many great memories from when I lived in Bang Tao a few years back Chris. I strolled up and down that beach countless times watching the sunset enjoying an iced cold one. I fell in love with Surin Beach during my time there. Cheers for another great vid mate 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@Tigzy3 my first time was 2001 then every year up until 2018. I saw Phuket change so much due to how much more popular it became to westerners - which was a bit of a downer to be honest, but I found new ways to enjoy the same place as well as getting out and exploring other parts I’d never been to which helped the love I have for Thailand grow even stronger. I truly hope you can make it back one day mate. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man o man, I've been waiting to get back to Thailand since April 2020. I was in Vietnam when COVID hit, and stayed there until Sept 2021 -- then went back to the States to get vaxxed. I'm down along the coast in Ecuador now, and I still miss Thailand! Your videos on Phuket make me want to visit there hopefully later this year. Muchas gracias, enjoy your cervezas. Cheers
Always enjoy the hidden gems and your 5-star heart belongs to anywhere you want to be. Thank you Chris for your works and passion. You have been uplifting many Thais’ spirit.
Understated spectacular. What?!?...That's a thing! Great location, great video. That last bar [The Beach Cuisine] reminded me of a little parador my wife and I stayed at on the West Coast of Puerto Rico many years ago. You are correct: Paradise. Cheers!
Hi Khun Chris! It is great to see some updated from Phuket, I missed Phuket everyday since I used to live there back in 2007. You made me teared as I missed all those places. Thank you for real. I really enjoyed your content 🙏🏾🥰
i've been to angsana laguna twice.....and believe me if you go there you will also fall in love with...so beautiful place and again i want to go there....you brought back my memories by showing this video....
Great vid. Me and the missus have had several holidays here staying at the Outrigger which has a new name aka SAii. That Movenpick has a great Thai restaurant but all the nice beach bars are the other end of the beach ie the southern end. That row of bars you showed including the Golden Fish (I've eaten there and it's good) is right next to the Outrigger/SAii which I think is the best hotel there as long as you get the beach facing rooms. Those lagoon rooms can be damp / mosquito traps, so always best to be beach side. We're planning to go back when travelling gets easier. Sad to hear that Kip had to close his bar when covid came. It was the forst beach bar past the Outrigger / SAii. We walked up and down that beach countless times and the sunsets never get old. Towards the southern end of the beach there were 1 or 2 restaurants where the fresh fish was in ice on the beach and they were great too. It really is a great beach and perfect for couples and families as it's a chill out beach not a Patong style party area.
Angsana is absolutely chill. I stayed there once on an all inclusive package. Loved it for something different as I usually stay in cheaper accommodation. Can’t get enough of Bang Tao. Would love to see Kamala beach. Also a nice & quiet beach.
I love every single one of your videos. Especially these beach walks. I truly hope one day you are able to visit Boracay in the Philippines which is utterly mind-blowing.
Another great video Chris. Your opening so many great options that we tend to miss when we travel. Congrats on your app. Really well done. Also had me laughing with the quick 420 comment slipped in there. Cheers from your original home in Toronto. 🇹🇭🇨🇦👍
I wish I am lucky enough to visit the Beach Cuisine this year, listening to water hitting rocks while chewing seafood. It looks like Kisik seafood restaurant in Ayana Bali.
Fantastic info on Phuket Chris. I live in BKK and never travel there as I have always imagined that it's a hassle and too expensive. I'm having second thoughts now. Cheers man!
Chris I really enjoy your videos. Could you discuss what gear you are using to film and a little about your editing process and software. The video clarity and field of view is generally perfect in your shots. Would appreciate learning more about your process. Or even better could you make a video about it and share with all of us!!?? Appreciate you man! Thank you, Chris Roche
During my recent month in Phuket I only made it to Bang Tao on my last day. I planned on exploring that area more when I return in a few months. This video was perfect timing Chris, and has opened many doors to (what I also believe to be...) the coolest beach in Phuket. Go visit Little Nok and Joe's to meet some more Canadians... Great Video CP!!
Hey Chris, what kind of mic are you using if you don’t mind me asking? I just booked a flight to Thailand for mid Fed - late April and want to start filming. Would love any recommendations! Thank you kind sir!
Pre-pandemic, I did Muay Thai in BangTao (now called Revolution) and Surin Beach. Thanks so much for the terrific memories, Chris..Hello from -35 degree weather in Ottawa, Canada.
Oh my travel fever just got worse. 😀 Really looking forward to finally coming to Thailand after 5 long years. By the way what mic are you using and do you film with a phone most of the time? I mean your videos look so good and I would like to learn how to use my phone better for creating videos. 😀
👋🏻 Hey Chris, love the beach walk videos. This one was awesome and very informative video 👍🏼. We can’t wait till we can get back to Thailand. Stay sane and keep the awesome videos coming.♥️🇨🇦
Good video. Some comments - We got to explore this beach (via mountain bikes) back in July (sandbox) and it was deserted and sunny with a bit of swell. Fabulous. The only downer with the accommodations you showed is that they are in Laguna which TBH is absolutely flogging hideous. All those generic condos, artificial lakes, and golf clubs 🤮 It's all so bland and badly developed you could be anywhere in the world it's so devoid of any culture. Even by Phukets over-developed over-touristed standards it's still a low point on the island. Also it's Russian Tourist Central - make of that what you want. If you a vlog on Layan Beach you gotta mention the snorkelling on the left side of the island at the top of the beach - it's surprisingly good.
Question, My flight is on the 9th of March for Phuket. Should I apply for my Thailand pass in February or 7 days before my flight. Thailand is known for changing its mind over and over, so to be safe I wanted to know, when should I apply for the pass. And how long do the QR code last. Ones again my flight is the 9th of March. Everyone keeps saying apply 7 days before my flight, But I've seen a lot of videos that people had to cancel their flight because Thailand change the rules and they lost their money for the flight and hotel.
At Nai yang beach and Sirinart Park near the airport it very calm when i want to relax i will go to that place you can rent bamboo or plastic match for sleep or sit some time you can found local fisherman sell fresh seafood they catch at the day
Hey Chris! Sirinat/ Naiyang Beach right near the Phuket airport is beautiful, Phens restaurant right on the sand was a beautifully pleasant surprise only 5 minutes from the Phuket international airport.
99% of people who arrive at the Phuket airport jump in a van and head straight for Patong or some other beach down that way, which is fine with me because it frees up lots of other beach space for those who don't like crowds. Naiyang Beach is my favourite, and I think it's longer]11km or so?] than the beaches shown in this video. The best part about Naiyang is there are no touts on there hassling you, lots of empty space and it's one of the best plane-spotting sites in the world.
I enjoy your videos because as soon as the pandemic allows unstricked travel between canada and thailand. My question is why is there so many vloggers in thailand. encouraging people to travel there. I would want to keep it a secret.
