Great to meet you there Gary. I fantastic morning morning for all and glad you enjoyed the frill of the chase. Great images mate and hope to do it again some time.
Really great to meet you the other day Gary, so glad you enjoyed the Chase just as much as we do, some lovely images there! Thanks so much for the shout out too!
My childhood playground was Sutton Park, the park was great because of the number of lakes in it. I used to walk through the park most weekdays to College (shoe leather was cheaper than bus fare). Cannock Chase was a wee bit too far, although my first proper camping trip was to the Chase. Seems almost tame now but it certainly made me a lover of the great outdoors.
Going out with other people is great for learning about different approaches to a subject. However it does require some ettiquette from people not to get in each other's way or muscle in on compositions. I am sure these guys were well aware of that. Thanks for the video.
I enjoyed the video as usual Gary. It was nice to see you out with the lads. I have watched their podcast but i must admit i really prefer yours the good old Pubcast. Great image's as usual and it will be interesting to see how you get on with your wildlife adventure. Look forward to the next one.
You won't do Cannock chase in a few days. I've been there years and still discovering places. I did wonder if you were bringing your wildlife kit with you. You were in the woodland which inspired Tolkien and his ents in Lord of the rings. He was stationed on the camps that weren't far from where you were. Loved the first tree photo, and your take on the Chase.
Absolutely love the painterly look of that first photo with the oak! Oh boy - that hail at the end of your video, did it actually stop? I’d often say you’ve no sense of adventure not going out in it, but to be honest I’d have been stuck firmly in the car as well 😁
Hello Gary. Wished I’d known you were there, I only live a mile from Cannock Chase. Would have popped up and said ‘hello’. Just think of your street cred on being recognised! Some excellent photography spots on the Chase, Sherbrook Valley & Brocton Coppice to name but two. However PLEASE don’t turn it into a honeypot location 😀
Would love to get along to Cannock one day. Nice to see you getting out n about again Gaz. A couple of very decent images. Many years ago Cannock was a well known biders place to visit, I don't know if its still like that -if so you could possibly kill 2 birds (not literally, lol) with one stone :) atb Al
Excellent video, particularly liked the Martin H tree mono at 3:54
Cheers mate, I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂

Nice one Gary, you met the quiet side of F7.1 there Ha-Ha
We thought we'd break him in gently 😂
If they're the quiet side, god help me when I meet the rest of you!! 😂

@@GaryNormanPhoto it's most definitely on my location list this year

I completely agree, it's a long term project to get the best out of there. I did see groot and I can totally relate to the ents reference!

Mate, that hail was biblical!! Only lasted a few minutes though so it wasn't too bad 🙂

Next time I'll send you a smoke signal to forewarn you 🙂 I will be going back but I'll try not to hammer the place too much!
❤👍🙏👊🙏👍❤️
Did you go to the Mr Groot tree ?

You'd love it there mate! I did try a bit of wildlife but alas, it wasn't successful on that occasion...
