The Rose flowers look very high end & so real! Such awesome finds! Love the chairs with the coordinating fabric…. So very French! The beautiful transfer are stunning & I collect it in this wonderful color also! I Iove the unique shape of the saucers. I always pick up fancy silver trays to use in many places in my home. $9 was a great price for the covered boxes & they coordinate with your chairs. I always enjoy your channel & seeing you style your home!
I thought they looked so real too. I thought the chairs were so french as well.😍 That’s so neat that you collect the same dishes and the same color too.🤗 Yes, I loved how the boxes coordinated with the fabric on the chairs. Thank you so much my sweet friend!!
I have to watch part 1, but wow you found soooo many beautiful things. I'm collecting the pink/red Spode transfer ware also. That first French sink was awesome and those 2 chairs look so pretty. For my style I'd keep the timber dark as it really makes the material pop. Going to watch part 1 now xx
you’ve got some lovely things here! The small cork backed mat is actually a place mat. Modern plates are bigger than in the past and so are place mats. If it’s newer, then it might be smaller because it came from Britain. Our houses here are generally smaller than in N America and so are our tables. The lace bobbin isn’t for holding lace but for winding the threads for making bobbin lace by hand. Lace makers would have dozens of threads to manage and the bobbins did this. They were hand turned or carved. But lace would look nice wound around them.
Really enjoyed you sharing all your finds. I always enjoyed the home tours you did at your other house. Hope you will do a tour of your new home soon. You always gave me ideas on displaying items that I would have never thought of. I do think the pad you showed is a hot plate. I have a Currier and Ives one that belonged to my grandmother. I love those red dishes and your new chairs. If it was me I would leave the wood dark. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Karen! I’m glad that you enjoyed seeing my finds. We have some more projects that we are working on around the house, but hopefully I’ll be able to share a home tour again soon. I’m glad that you’ve gotten inspiration from them in the past! 🥰❤️😘xo
The old English inn item is a plate mat used in The United Kingdom. I have several that my Aunt had in England, I bought a set of six when I was in England last. Most have English scenery.
Hi , I’m a new subscriber from England, I live in a very old farm house and love your taste in decor very much . The thing you thought may not be a place mat actually is , that’s probably a vintage place mat from the uk , they were always that size years ago . I absolutely love everything you have found . I’m always on the lookout for things to use in my home .😊
Hi Jackie, thank you for subscribing and welcome to my UA-cam family!🥰❤️🤗 Thank you for letting me know that it is a place mat too.☺️ Happy hunting for treasures for your old farm house! Which sounds lovely by the way. Love & hugs from California 😘xo
You did really well with the cups as they’re Spode and to buy new ones they’re pretty pricey, I have a lot of the blue and white Spode and I would definitely paint the dining chairs and give them a distressed look 🥰
Oh my goodness I was like a kid in a candy store I would oooohhhh and ahhhh...then you would show us the next item! French sink😍....the old leaded windows!! To die for!! All your red toile!! I am going antiquing tomorrow!! Whoo hoo!!
Love your transferware plates, Please live with your chairs as they are. Thinking you would lose the dept of the wood and French contrast. And a pair is perfect! Makes them special rather than a table full. Fantastic find and unbelivable price. They look professionally done.
There are a couple of products that will “restore” wood furniture. Old English Scratch cover is one that I’ve used for years. Then Minwax has several products. We used to use something by Formby’s, but I think it has been bought by minwax. So I’ll have to see what I can find now.
Jessica. Know u glad you moved. How many of us are still thinking about NO and BR, La.? Great haul, sounds like you found some awesome shops. Guessing denham springs back to where it was a few yrs ago.. tfs cheers
Jessica you also found such awesome things. I love everything❤️ especially the red and white transferware. The toile chairs are gorgeous. Hoping for a tour soon❤️❤️❤️
I love rolling pins, as well as the faux strawberry cake, which looks perfect under the cloche. I also liked the mason jars, as well as the bench, and hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. TFS Enjoy!
Beautiful pieces at great prices! I've been looking for red transfer ware cups and saucers. I inherited my grandmother's dishes but there were no cups with the set. I can't seem to find any! I wouldn't paint the chairs. The upholstery is done well. I worked in a French Country showroom (the owners are French). None of our pieces were painted. We used Old English furniture oil once in awhile to give them a nice light shine.
Thank you so much Lesli! I hope 🤞🏻 that you’ll find some red transferware cups & saucers soon!! Thank you for the tips on French furniture pieces. I have some Old English that I can use on the stained wood part.🤗👍

Your placemats were a steal! Online they are $10-$15 each. You found some beauties! I am slowly accumulating french bits for my bedroom. It makes me happy!
Oh okay, wow that’s great! I hadn’t even looked them up yet.🤗👍 Your bedroom sounds nice with the French bits. Yes, your room should make you feel happy and relaxed.🥰❤️😘xo
@@frenchfarmhouseflair I inherited a set of dishes from my spinster aunt with red transfers. It's made by John Bros., England. They are about 100 yrs old. I use it all December. I am always looking for more, so far only tea.pots. I have found out my decorating style, it's Grand Millenium. I inherited many antique furniture also and have used them the last 45 years in my home. Today I found another needlepoint pillow, looks like new, dark red velvet framed and backed and some small gold metal frames from Bombay co. Have fun thrifting!
Hi , Lynn from UK and just now I'm having to use my Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, Just to say the smaller mat you showed is a table mat , we had them in the eighties they came in a set of four with side mats for your cup 😊👍, Love the pink set you bought Lovely 😊, Take Care x

Bonjour Jessie .. well you found so many beautiful finds I hardly know what to say I collect the blue and white spore it goes well with my blue willow ...the red and white looks lovely with your toile and those gorgeous chairs WOW! I think the dark wood looks posh against the toile but I think it all depends on the colour of your other chairs and table eh?...i think the two spode placements l would use on the centre of your table it would look splendid. I think the spode shows Italian landscapes but it all looks French a moi...chuckle ! Keep looking you'll find more ...i think even red and white Johnson brothers will fit in and even your black and white and your white dishes will complement each other I always feel you have fantastic taste Jessie ,such a good eye and I know you love the hunt !! Hi Jessica , what a great video seeing all your finds.I loved everything,we definitely have the same taste.Your toile chairs are beautiful and look so good with your curtains. I collect transferware too. Last year before lockdown I went to a thrift store in RIchmond Hill, Ontario Canada and to my delight and surprise found in two boxes a full set for eight of the transfer ware made by Spode and in another box I found a soup tureen two covered casserole dishes and two platters totalling 45.00 for all. Best find ever. Good luck with your collecting.
Oh please don't paint the chairs...what makes authentic French decor is having an eclectic mix of dark wood, natural or bleached wood with some painted woods. The biggest mistake made in trying to achieve an "authentically French look" is to paint everything...in a sea of painted furniture the eye doesn't have anything to grab it's attention and the beauty of the furniture can be missed.
Wow, what a great haul! I think the dining room chairs would be stunning painted in an antique white! ❤

On the two chairs you could just touch up the dings with a dark gel stain. Or you could paint them the color of your buffet.
Yes, that’s true! Thanks for the ideas!!🤗👍
The bobbin is for making lace, so it holds the thread that they make lace with. It’s not for the lace itself.😊

Love are your wonderful funds.
