Wiles sought her own fame and limelight on her own standing, it was nothing to do with the university other than they didn’t object to her freelancing. She found out fame can be a double edged sword, she took no responsibility for how she could have contributed to the critical feedback. It was’t the university’s responsibility to provide her with a security detail. She is NZ’s Prince Harry!

Michael Baker's lack of success in creating a "Personality Cult" around himself was and is largely due to the lack of an engaging personality to start with. Being a monotonous mouthpiece for various agencies and government propoganda is no substitute.

"Professor" Baker's "dispassionate view" lost my husband his career. I have no respect for a person whose views held such power, especially as he was wrong.
Baker was one of the worst. None of his modelling fitted reality. He is still in the media pushing the fear agenda.
He can't seem to understand the significance of "modeling" vs. "empirical data" - where are the 80,000 dead? He is a middling academic at best thrown a bonus bone by a pandemic - seized his chance and now seems reluctant to retire from the limelight.

Agree completely. I don't like or agree with Baker but he is a public health advisor and expected to have a public opinion. Siouxsie was/is a private citizen and had no authority or reason to inject herself into the conversation. On choosing to do so the consequences of that are on her.

I always find her and Baker would comment and explain how we all need to lock down/close up Businesses while they still pulled in a good salary and did they care ppl lost Jobs/Houses "No Money" etc..Ofcourse not they were on TV trying to be the Face of the Nation.

I do agree that Suzie Wiles was an attention seeker who loved being in the spotlight during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Even Michael Baker seemed to love the sound of his own voice. Both of these two were part of a system that, like most other countries around the world, were "winging it" through the pandemic. The lockdowns may have helped save lives but it's clear the vaccine mandates were a terrible mistake and led to division not just here, but in other countries who enforced them. At the end of the day both Wiles and Baker were scientists and science seems to have been the root cause of this pandemic. People were mucking around playing God in a laboratory without the proper training or correct safety measures in place and the manipulated virus primed to infect humans the easiest got out and turned the world into absolute chaos.
For every action there is a reaction.
Her and Baker both belong in jail for crimes against humanity - along with Ardern and Bloomfield.

Actually that isnt what science is at all, quite the reverse, new theories are examined and tested and can be accepted superseding previous beliefs. Huxley is just a novelist, how would he have any authority on science?

Can I just say 1) How incredibly refreshing it is to hear people speaking common-sense views like this in the media
2) How shocked I am with myself for what I put up with during the pandemic. When you hear it all now in retrospect, it hits home how bad and oppressive the government's response really was. At the time it was all so surreal that many people including me didn't question it. But looking back now, it's clear how they used that surreal aspect to play us.
3) How great it is that not only is content like this available online, but that the comment section is actually open!
