The soundtrack reminds me of "Monsters in My Pocket", the game based on the comic and cartoon series from the 1990s. Konami made the game and uses the same music format.
Hmm. For me saying Sunsoft is better than Konami would be like splitting hairs or choosing a favorite child. Sunsoft made a lot of stellar Batman soundtracks, but Konami also did an ace job here! These classic Batman soundtracks just rule all around. :)
YEeehh. I just heard this song on a AVGN video and was so looking forward to hear it again alone. That game back then was the sh.. and hard as hell for me as a kid.
@@sebastiann.8088No, it doesn’t. The first Batman has more variety in levels, a good balance of platforming, punching and shooting, and the most iconic soundtrack out of all three games. Besides, there’s no need to dunk on the others to praise one.
"Would've worked"? It does work. It sets the tone for the white-knuckle action ahead. It doesn't matter what Batman interpretation it was made for, this is what is to be expected of action music in a Konami NES game. And it's not like the 60's show had music like this.
It's not bad, but it's not very thematic, either. You could probably put this in any other Konami game and it wouldn't fit more or less than what was already there, for better or worse.
All I could think about was AVGN when hearing this.
electricmastro Magnavox Odyssey episode. to quote James
"When it Comes to going back to the past....you can't go back much further than this!"
Avgn never covered this one
MrRoomerz 🤫 only diehard fans will understand! Casual fans hate us!
@@pyrobison2002 It sounds similar to Top Gun Fuel Theme. And btw i dont know wtf are u talking about, lol.
@@MrRoomerz Yep! The music sounds familiar to the refueling theme and the demo theme from "Top Gun" for the NES.
Thumbs up if the AVGN Odyssey brought ya here :D
Gotta love that funky low-register motif at 0:19
Konami always knew how to compose game music.
It's interesting to hear a big difference in style compared to the Super Nintendo version.

My favorite game on the nes. This is my first cartridge, and this theme I love.

Definitely something out the 80s batman.
Except it’s not, because this game was released in 1993.

If Konami is known for one thing, its absolutely unbeatable soundtracks.
Pero que melancolia con esta cancion.... me hace mover la cabeza. jajajaja WENA CANCION¡¡¡
This sounds like it’s straight out of Mega Man! And that is a high complement, as I heavily enjoy the Mega Man game soundtracks!
@Doommaster1994
Thanks! I'll update the information later, but I'm responding to this now so your comment stays up at the top. :)
This is a jive to the highest degree
I agree. I first heard this song on AVGN. I ripped this song myself but it came out terrible XD
thanks.saw it in avgn oddysey review
AVGN Odyssey review!!!
Max Headroom lol
Freaking badass nes track! :D
Legendary
Thumbs up for AVGN
The Penguin looks very scared/surprised in the picture, kinda funny. xD
Lelz
Better than the first Batman IMO. (Game AND Music.)
Organic Rebounds Revenge of the Joker on NES easily shits on both of them though in both gameplay AND music
@@sebastiann.8088 bullshit

2024
Music reminds me of Tecmo Super Bowl for some reason.
que buen tema lpm!
This probably would've worked if the game was based on the 60's batman T.V. series, as opposed to the Tim Burton film...

YEEEAAAH The Best Song Ever !!!! O_- .
This game is better than the movie and its soundtrack is badass!
Now we just need to Metalize it 🤘
Batman Returns - Gotham Plaza [GDSF]
search for it
Sounds like Top Gun NES
@Waterboy57Official Yeah it does! Is like a mix of megaman-contra-TMNT xD
@Waterboy57Official LOL IKR! Odyssey chapter xD
I've got this NES cartridge BD
@CrazyUberix you know about jackal???!! awesome that game was amazing
Pretty much every other game made by Konami. All of them have really great 8 bits music
It's a fucking rifle. You can't get away with this shit nowadays.
@explod2A03
I agree. Although I prefer SUNSOFT's music, that isn't to say I really love Konami's songs too.
Beginning makes me hear "It's all about the game, and how you play it" lol
dude, ur avatar pic is really familiar, is it from metal gear?
Haha 100% accuracy :D
I think it's from Bionic Commando, the scene where Master D(Hitler in Japanese version) got killed.
@zhekazlo lol me too!
Did they base this off the bathroom stage in Final Fight?
@SSJ3Ulcer I would like them then to do a better batman than the first nes game.
Angry Video Game Nerd
Seananners brought me here
Good song, but it's a little short.
SeaNanners brought me here.
So some dime a dozen Call of Duty player brought you here.
Sunsoft > Konami
why hasnt anyone remixed this song yet
+The 1-Up_Triforce.
Nah It doesn't need a remix
The 1-Up_Triforce no remix necessary
