《吃饱没?》(Eat Already?) is an info-ed drama series specially created for seniors. The series is in Hokkien - a dialect many Chinese seniors are comfortable and familiar with. It will be telecast every Friday, at 12pm, on Mediacorp's Channel 8 dialect slot.
Never thought I would live to hear and see a Hokkien drama on Singapore Mediacorp programme.. Amen... I am at peace😆

Great to hear Singapore Hokkien. It really brought me back to my childhood in the 1970s when Singapore Hokkien was widely spoken.

廈門話比較偏泉州口音 台灣話是比較偏漳州口音~~~~泉州話有些音很重不仔細聽還不了解~~~不過認真聽能懂9成5

We should just allow dialect to return to the big and small screen. But if the timing for the show was at the late evening or on weekends, it would be better, youngsters can watch it too

There is a lot of Singaporean Chinese who can speak hokkien.
I applause for for the 1st Dialect TV series. But as you know in Singapore all the competition were either in English or Mandarin. To my knowledge there are no Dialect driven event in Singapore except during the Ghost month where the Biding were in dialect.
So I think to be more REAL the MC or the events held should be in Mandarin and not in Dialect. The Winner's thank you speech could also be in Mandarin instead of Hokkien. This is a wrong representation of our way of life in Singapore.
