Sweet video and truck! Give your dad a big hug and tell him you love him every chance you get. I remember the projects me and my dad would work on together, that was some of the best days of my life. I wish I could go back and do one more with him.
I second that, just one more motor swap or replacing a clutch at 9 o'clock trying to get done before dark.
Thanks for watching y'all! Much more coming to the channel SOON!!! Stay tuned! -MALACHI
I have a 91 first Gen. I am using your truck as a guideline for mine! Love the channel! Keep up the good work!!
And new bumpers
it's awesome to see more guys joining the diesel industry esp a father son duo. I caught up on your page today and I will say awesome job and dont let anyone tell ya different. keep up the good work. I'm from Ohio myself and there are a lot of good people and shops here around the mid west. get that thing ready and hope to see you guys at some diesel events this summer!.
love the rims on the 1St gen I got the same ones on my ram
man this makes me miss my first gen...sold her and got a hemi now. your truck looks great man!
Wow very in depth in the process of changing them USLESS UA-cam will bill you for nonsense!!!!
I love coming back to watch the old videos... he has come a long way😊
Your Dad Is Awesome... I wish I would of had Half the dad he is... Keep Up the great work man..
Camera seems to be working well. I learned quite a bit from watching this vid. Now I'm hooked. I am a 1st time 1st gen cummins owner. My truck needs a lot of tlc. Thank you for the info.
Informative and great truck but the music sounds like a guy in a tutu with some glow sticks is going to come out and give some back massages for your feelings.... When I work on cars I listen to something that isn't anything close to bad dubstep that was cool 3 years ago.
Way better audio and better looking quality in this vid. You can really hear the low growl and turbo whistle in the start up
nice truck.
Love your channel. I look forward to comin home after school to watch ur videos 😂. Keep it up brotha! Love the first gen and ferds👌 got 2 1993 OBS's and a 99 7.3 at home. Video quality if fantastic and Can't wait to see more!
It’s that the stock turbo?
Small thing you could do to the 12v or any truck is get some cans of black spray paint and paint the underside like axels frame etc. then go over it with a bed liner/undercoat and makes a dramatic difference to the truck. Keep up the great work buddy
Stryker Mcknight I've had that thought as well, I'll probably end up doing something like that!
Camera quality it great same as the sound quality.
Dman Mcleod thanks! Been meaning to get better stuff for you guys! Glad you like it!
Like the camera, the picture is just as good on my connection and the improved audio is awesome!
God, that 1st gen is so damn nice.
I generally don't like aftermarket wheels but those really go with the truck.
John Lynn yeah it is! And we are gonna be putting on a different set of wheels
Love the cummins
Sem Verpaalen we might at some point, just really expensive so it might be on hold for now
I want one!
Make sure you take care of the killer dowel pin or you'll blow your front seal out of the block
Randy adds a nice grandpa style touch.
Like the cummins
"Why'd you do that? Why not!!!!!!" That's awesome!!!
What injectors brand did you used?
holy wheel spacer lol
What kind of injector were put in
Get a big honkin air filter (bhaf) for a much cheaper alternative to an aftermarket cold air intake. I just put one on my 99 24v Cummins and love it. Great videos guys keep it up 🤘
Camera works great! Just as good as the newer ones that. have a bunch of buttons on them. Im an old guy, i dont like alotta buttons! lol!
If you guys have not you need to change the fuel pin that directs the fuel to the bigger pain because you're not getting the full potential out of your injectors yet if you change that you'll notice a big difference to
you and your pops seem like cool dudes! thats awesome you guys work on the trucks together and work on the farm. !! keep up the good videos ! love the first gen and your second gen! not big on the fords but they are pretty nic as well!
The camera is great
Hey guys. Nice truck. it looks like a really clean build. I cought on your first video something about being in Indiana. If you are look up diesel mafia of Indiana on Facebook. A bunch of great people who can help are apart of the family. They have tons of meets and would love to see that beautiful rig. Y'all be safe.
Your ol man is pretty cool.. your both very lucky. .
If you guys haven't tuned the AFC any look up themadmailler. He's got some very informative videos
killer dowl pin!!!! replace it or regret it
William Jarmon it's on the to do list to get done… We can't do every project at once we are pretty busy people
i hear ya i try to get as much done as i can between work and military but ill post a video or two and maybe kick start my channel on my truck and the process of it
God the 12 valve is a good engine, I have the money to get something newer but I stick with my 97 12 valve and baby it and keep it clean and nice, fix it when it breaks and keep going, it will be a timeless truck.
nice audio and video quality on the camera
Thank you! just need to figure it out a little better with the lighting! haha
you should take the silencing rings out of the turbo so you can really hear it spool
yes sir you did i kept watching sounds nice and I agree you'll get to 100k in no time
Jake H hope so haha! Hoping to buy my second gen soon! Dads got his trucks! Now I want mine haha! But I'm on more of a budget 😅😅
Yea me too I start driving in 4 months. my friends dad just got a gen 2 it's so nice it's that free he got a heck of a deal it just takes so looking you'll find one
Where do you get parts for your 92 dodge? Im looking for a speed reduction and master switch for mine. I can't find them anywhere.
you guys should get a move front bumper for the first gen
LOUD 'N' PROUD yeah Google them and you can customize them the only thing is you have to weld them up yourself
LOUD 'N' PROUD well you could look at them and maybe you could find somebody to weld it for you and if you can't I guess that sucks
what size housing? bad asss truck
Since when are hipsters into old diesel trucks?
Great videos! I watched every video on the first gen! Keep it up.Iv just started posting videos for a 93 W250 complete rebuild if your interested.I know I cant get enough first gen stuff! have a great day!
What's done to the pump that fucker dumps lol never seen a ve pump 12 valve make that much smoke any ways sweet video man but you do need to get that kdp taken care of
EXPRO I don't think anything has been don't to the pump yet lol and yeah I know!
EXPRO you must not have seen a turned up VE, holy shit do they put out the smoke, make your own fuel plate and throw some mild injectors, then you're ready to party.
Ford_Cummins ve pumps don't have fuel plates. that's a p7100. 've pumps have a fuel pin that you upgrade and a few adjustments to make
What brand are the tires on the first gen?
your dad looks like he is some kind of doctor or something like that...
don't forget to secure the killer Dowell pin if it hasn't been fixed yet

I just bought me a 1977 Dodge ram d200 with a 318 mopar. I was wondering if ya guys thought if it was a good idea to do a cummins swap with a 94 cummins turbo diesel? thanks and I love your cummins!! my buddy has the exact same cummins!!!
peterbuilt 5291studios I'm not a mechanic, so with the much heavier motors and all the other mechanics... we are newer to this kind of stuff as well
peterbuilt 5291studios you'd have to box the frame for support. and upgrade everything, transmission, axle(s), steering, suspension. those trucks didn't even know what diesels were lol, you would have to do a ground up build for that.
transamfan81 like they do on diesel brothers with like an El Camino...they redid everything to make it work properly
LOUD 'N' PROUD yea, nothing on a 77 truck would be able to support a diesel, weight or power wise
Leafsprings and axle's should be enough if you got a 3/4 ton, the frame up til -93 are weak as in they twist alot but I doubt the frame have any problem supporting the cummins. But the dana44 wont last.
Instead of tapping why dont you get a 3 piece exhaust manifold that has a plug for the EGT gauge and will allow the heat to expand without breaking the ears off your head.
My UA-cam channel has 2k as well... And coming from another UA-camr I honestly like the other cameras quality tbh. This one looks a little grainy and choppy to me. But I'm very picky with camera quality and audio too... But that's my opinion lol I use a go pro hero 4 at 1080p 60fps which is perfect and go pro audio is pretty good too. But then again that's just me. Love this first gen man
MrTanner530 thanks... yeah I'll probably use this camera more and just get better with the lighting feature on it... I got complaints about the GoPro's audio being muffled and video being grainy... which it was... this is a much improved upgrade for sure... as long as I can figure out the aperture setting each time it'll be way better!
Don't tap the manifold, I had a probe break off and junk my turbo, put it on the down pipe from there you can still read it accurately, don't want more than 1100* post turbo and no more than 1300* pre turbo, but just my opinion would hate to see that happen to you guys. Keep up the videos!!!
Having that happen is an extreme rarety. tapped all my trucks manifolds went 100k hard miles never had a problem. I think its important to have the manifold tapped its most accurate egt reading. Especially if you have twin turbos like my 12 valve.
soflo 12 valves yeah I haven't heard of something like that before either... I've always heard tap manifold of best results
Instead of tapping the manifold why dont you buy a 3 piece exhaust manifold that has a plug for the EGT gauge and will allow the heat to expand without breaking the ears off your head.
Hey man, Those wouldn't happen to be M&B wheels on the 1st gen are they?
LOUD 'N' PROUD I wasn't sure because they look similar to mine but not exact
Music?
I heard in another video ur dad said auburn I'm from Washington if y'all ever need some help let me know.
LOUD 'N' PROUD I'm not from auburn I'm in puyallup but I got a built 7.3 and also got a lot of buddies that got 12valves. Look up our Facebook page northwest coal rollers
We're in IN, but I've been to Puyallup 1x because my wife has a brother and his family there...beautiful there...and lots of trucks :) -Joel
if your wanting to make a lot of horsepower you're going to have to change out that pump to a p-pump
Cody Gray yeah, that's why we didn't go with bigger than 50 hp injectors at the time
LOUD 'N' PROUD you can go bigger I had 2 can I had 150 in it on a stock transmission you just want make good power on that stock pump
What size are the injectors? 50hp is very subjective between different injector shops. Are they 6x10's? 5x12's, etc?
Please, before you do anything else, get rid of those damn stickers!!! Haha
This is the craziest thing ever idk if your going to reply or not but I recognized Randy in the video and thats my grandma's boyfriend yes I said grandma boyfriend 😂😂 my Cummins is in his shop right now my mind is blown small world lol
what size injectors did you use
No, 50hp is not a "size" of injector. 50hp means literally nothing other than you're probably on the small end of injector sizes. Hole count and hole size is what determines an injector's "size"
@@ethanmartin4017
Yeah - as in 4x13, 5x12, 6x11 - etc.....
Did you ever figure this out?
I just bought 5x12 Bosch from "The Hungry Diesel" for my compound turbo 1st gen & I'm hoping they work awesome for towing!
Is that truck yours
Paint the mirrors white
That truck is so beautiful.... so is your guys plan to fix it up and sell it or keep it?? I'd imagine probably keep it cause it such a pristine beautiful truck!! Anyways, love the vid!!
Wtf happened to the back tailgate looks like shit💯
Nice truck man! I want to get a W250 some day, I've got a D250 right now. How do you feel about those injectors? My trucks stock other than 3.2k governor spring and a M&H fuel pin. I also added a smaller exhaust housing on the turbo, went from 18mm to 16 I think, spools a LOT faster. Next step is injectors, just not sure what exactly to get next. BTW on the topic of the trans, if you've got an auto it's not bad. Those old 518s are just 727s with overdrive, a very proven transmission. They used to use them in old mopar muscle cars. I've got one with a manual valve body in my Roadrunner, it's literally just like a stick, you just need a ratchet type shifter. They can handle a decent amount of power when built right. This turned into a long comment lol.
2.9k
noah burkhardt passing 3K today! Exactly 3 weeks on UA-cam as of today! 😝
noah burkhardt thanks for the positive feedback! Means a lot! And I'd love that! It could take me about a year to get there but yes it's doable for sure! I'll be pushing on always to do better and provide higher quality content!
Check out mopar1darrell on instagram. I don't 100% like his first gen but his front bumper looks b.a.
Hopefully you stop saying hopefully so much lol
