In hindsight, the stress of being crunched for time/overbooked is much less than the stress of having no work. Learned that the hard way. Thx for the great upload loving this style.

I Officially started my Power washing and Landscape business, August 2020. I was doing it as a weekend warrior for years but I started having so many people call me I quit my 9-5. Just this year I was able to buy a riding mower, truck, trailer, power washer and take on a part-time employee. Only thing I have a loan on is the truck. Thank you, Jesus!

What you bringing home a month ? I dont need exact figure . Is it above 10k ? above 20 k ? Just trying to understand if its worth getting into ? Love my job but looking for additional gig that dont involve staring at the screen.

@@mtsurov I was under 10k a month but some months were better than others. Just keep an open mind. If you think you can do it, just do it! I think most people don't understand the hard grind at first. Once you get momentum it gets a lot easier. Just be smart about scaling your equipment. Most of all just be open and honest with your clients. I was able to walk away from some messes because I was honest.

@@jawswill8052 Good feedback. Appreciate you taking the time to read and reply. I think the most valuable thing that registered with me so far, from your videos, is the power of saying NO. (and of course there is a right and wrong way to say no). Best of fortune with everything.

I was born into the business and grew up hating it, my Dad once told me to do whatever work I wanted to do, he didn't want me to follow his footsteps. The landscape skill was a backup ,just in case. From the age of 18 through 28 I left my dad's business to do Sales for a microchip company, at 28 I came back to help my dad's company grow and at 38 my dad retired and sold his company. I had a choice whether to continue the brand he established or to start my own, I was able to take two years off and go back to school until I got recruited to be a recruiter for a Landscape company. The company I work for has shown me that you can grow as big as you want, we have over 2,000 employees and are top ranked in the nation. Work hard and the money will follow, drop the poverty mentality and move on

I'm from the UK (Manchester) and have followed you for afew years. Last year I went self employed and barely made 7.5k with 6.5k expenses. This year and I've still got 2 months left of cutting season I've doubled the income already and expenses have been about the same as last year. But recently I've hit that wall where you said you'll feel like your not making anything. It's been making me think of giving up. But after this video it's actually given me hope and that I should push through.
I've been a gardener for a long time. Always working for someone else and never having enough money for winter when I got laid off etc. But knowing that I've just helped someone else make that 100k for the year we'll I've barely made 10-15k and struggling to pay bills and feed my family. It gave me the push to go self employed. I've been stupidly swamped with work as I've grown rapidly this year but I never knew the headache it was going to be organising all of it. But thank you man you have been a big inspiration for me.

I have one employee and we knock out between $1200 and $1,500 a day mowing lawns. I do some landscape one day of the week but it seems like mowing is where the money is. As I only get around $110 per yard of mulch I lay. And we can knock out 40 $35 lawns in one day

My husband has been in landscaping, working for other companies for the past five years. Last year him and I started doing side jobs on the weekend to make some extra money. This April we decided to start our own company, and since April 27th our revenue is 32k with a 51% profit margin. Sometimes we hire my brother on but most jobs just my husband and I suffice. It is the most stressful, terrifying, exhausting, amazing, awesome experience I have ever undertaken. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

So I do rototilling .... I charge 60.00 minimum charge , 7 cents a square foot for existing gardens 14 cents a square foot to break new ground .
    I have a 35 hp tractor with a 60 inch tiller , a 18 hp 2 wheel tractor with a 48 inch tiller and a 16 hp 2 wheel tractor with a 35 inch tiller .
With this pricing I can make around 70.00 a hour with the small machine . About 100.00 with the big 2 wheel tractor and around 75.00 a hour with the 4 wheel tractor .

I’ve started a totally different business myself and have some knowledge on that end, we got $5500 from a program that the state has called Charge your Yard, you turn in 6 gas powered trimmers and get $500 store credit towards Stihl battery trimmers and blowers, plus and extra $2500 for early birds. We spent $70 to buy the gas powered trimmers, not a bad deal. Website is done and I’m learning the software app we’ll be using for the business so we go in prepared . I’ll be getting your program to get some more knowledge. Working on getting some grants from the state for rest of the equipment.

Brother I hear you but I kind of disagree on some of what you are saying. My wife and I live in a suburb. We both have multiple felonies. Myself I’ve done 24 years on the installment. I’m 48. We started this year. I have a bmw x3. We didn’t even have a rake let alone a lawn mower. We advertised all around the town. We used customer’s tools to start. (Now understand WE ARE HARD WORKERS) well it’s been 2 months now and COMBINED we have made 43k. It’s July 12th (I think) and I do know we are booked until mid August. On average we are making 1k a day. (Combined). Hourly we average $60 and hour EACH. We are learning as we go and we now have a little pile of tools, I put a trailer hitch on my car. I bought a $450 trailer and built it. I’m finding that if you are honest with people and work hard and truly treat there yard like your own then you will get referrals galore and people are good. I’ve gotten so many donated tools. So my point is that I can assume that we again combined will hit 100k by end of summer. Plus we now have return customers and jobs into the fall. The winter I’m FU#@%D. But yeah other than a few trucks here and there it’s basically hard work. Oh, we live in a relatively wealthy area and I’m thinking (since I have no real idea how to do an estimate) we must be underbidding or something. But yes this is all true. I was barley making $20 an hour and my previous jobs. So Me being from “the hood” I’m now ghetto rich! 🤣! Good video and thanks for sharing!

@@DiegoHernandez-fs1gm The key to reaping the benefits of the forex market is using a professional stockbroker with a sound strategy. I lost about $7000 to a scammer before I was linked to Delbert, and I'm really ecstatic about the decision I made. Now she has helped me recover my $7k with an extra $4k in the space of 2months

In profit? That's super awesome bro. Do you make $10k per month in your highest month? Or on a running average? Where are you located?

I figure 85 per man to cover my overhead. We do drainage and some landscape construction. So maybe a bit more overhead involed in that over landscaping.
