Love this channel. I posted some pictures of my VE pumped 6.7 compound turbo build on Reddit. It's got those speed of air pistons in there too! It's gonna be interesting and hopefully not break 😂
When I did the rebuild on my ‘97 auto Ppump, I found that the compression ring land was lower on the piston vs the 5 speed equipped trucks. I never seen them side by side, but was told it’s to reduce a bit of compression for auto equipped trucks so it was easier on the transmission. Again just hearsay from my machine shop and my parts guys at Cummins.
Rob what the CC difference between the early 07.5-13 6.7 piston to 13-18 piston? ive read onlive that HO engines had 16.5:1 compression and SO engines 17.5:1 or in some cases 19:1?
What do you think about the new speed of air pistons? You are in a good position to test them now that you have your own dyno. They might help with the test seeing as you have a good track record of sharing accurate data. I'm very interested in the dimple top pistons but it sounds too good to be true.
Favorite diesel channel, thanks Rob!

Do you mind sharing more about the speed of air pistons? How was the customer service? What was the cost? Etc.

1st gen IC truck had the early 145* bowl similar to the non IC pistons less then .1 or.2 in CCs

Rob if your rebuilding a 2005/2007 CR. Would it be better to use the 2003/2004 piston. With the 2003/2004 injectors.
I want to put an 05 cab and bed on a newer 13 and up frame and drive train to avoid emissions stuff in ontario I'm wondering if it's possible
Create a llc in a province easier on emissions
WHAT ABOUT "SPEED OF AIR" PISTONS...HELLO FROM BALKAN FROM SERBIA...
👍👍👍👊
