Leister hot air gun repairs

Replacing the element and photo cell in my Leister Triac, the motor ran but I was not getting any heat. Spares are available in the UK from the Welwyn Tool Group Ltd in Herts. It seems that they are the only main Leister agent in the UK but they were very helpful and efficient.

If you're having heating issues, easiest procedure to follow is element > photo cell > potentiometer > temperature limit switch > triac switch > circuit board. You can unsolder one lead of the photo cell and do a brief test with it to see if the tool is heating correctly afterwards, but the photo cell is there for element overheating protection so don't run it too long.

Heat works, but the fan doesnt start at all..
Any chance you could give an idea on what to do?
Or at least direct me to where to find the proper repair manual)

If you google 'Leister Triac Repair Instructions' there are several free to read 30 page manuals out there. I can't remember which one I used but I wish that I had saved a copy. If your motor is not working, having checked that it is getting power, the most likely culprit will be the carbon brushes. They may just need cleaning and freeing in their housings or they may need replacing. I contacted Leister in Switzerland and they referred me to their agent here in the UK, The Welyn Tool Group, who were very helpful and have a full inventory of spares. Señor le saludo desde tijuana mexico . Tengo una leister triac st funcionaba bien pero un dia accidentalmente mientras trabajaba tropese y dereame agua sobre ella y absorbio , despues ya no calento, ya probe la pieza de calor y esta bien , el motor trabaja bien solo no calienta podria ayudarme por favor?

First make sure that every part inside is absolutely dry. Then check the photo cell by unsoldering it and seeing if it works briefly without it as in the comment by shroozle8872. Then have a good look at the circuit board and see if their is any visible damage, sometimes you can repair corroded tracks with solder links. Good luck, Jon
