Well, I don't want him to lose. Sometimes, the sport is better with a dominant figure. The era of Mayweather who retired undefeated was one of the best in boxing. Still, has the highest ppv in history from his fight with Pacquiao. When there is a mythical figure, it builds excitement and revenue. If anyone can lose to anyone, the appeal isn't as much. Levan & Denis are a gift to armwrestling.

Being number 1 is tough. It's literally the position where so many people want to see you lose because your so good but as much as we want to see him lose, we are in awe of his power. Biggest respect goes out to the #1.
Levan is a respectable dude. Never seen him try to show off when he clearly could, seeing as how there's no real challenge to him. But the dude always chooses humility. Levan needed this experience to once again feel that he can lose anytime. He needed a real challange, otherwise he didn’t have any motivation to push on. Now he knows he can be beaten, so he has a goal again to beat Ermes in a rematch. And he must lose weight if he wants to stay healthy, because yesterday he got a big warning that he can’t keep doing what he’s doing or his heart will give out.

Not at all, he refuses to admit (continues to deny) in these interviews that he lost the last two rounds and on top of that, he says Ermes was trying to push him off the pad when Levan was elbow fouling to save his huge ego and avoid being pinned. It is unquestionable that Levan is by far the strongest armwrestler in the world. I am glad that Levan realizes the drawbacks of his extra weight against extremely strong and technically savvy pullers such as Ermes. He is and will remain a dominant force in armwrestling in the foreseeable future, and I am confident that he will come back even more confident, stronger, fitter and motivated next time. And of course, hats off to an incredible warrior - Ermes - for putting up a great fight and bringing so much more spark and enthusiasm to armwrestling. What's really cool over the last few years is how far Levan and Ermes English speaking has improved. As a fan of the sport it's nice to hear them expressing themselves naturally and not through a translator.

Yes, Levan kinda dodged being pinned a couple times, but he won the match anyway. And he learned something from this fight. At least that he needs to lose weight and prepare more. Now it will be interesting to see his next match. Hope this happens within 4-5 months.

Round 3 and 5 was insane, what an intensity, and yes, Ermes showed he can fight with Levan, to the point Levan was unable to continue, and leave the table. I was kind of "shocked" about that. If you rewatch round 3, prior to the two restarts Ermes was going to win vs Levan using the shoulder press but the refs wrongly called the running fouls as stop fouls forcing two restarts in round 3 when Ermes had a shoulder press going both times. With correct reffing Ermes would have won round 3.
Let's not go off on the deep end about Levan quitting. He did win fair and square, and the performance of Ermes is to be commended and I expected it, because Ermes is listed as the most improved armwrestler in the world at this time. Both of them gave an EXCELLENT competitive EFFORT.

It at least opens the door for others to know what could work against Levan. People like prime Denis would surely be a match for Levan, even at his 100%. Levan wasnt 100% in this match, he was to heavy it could affected his heart health which is bad. But still, there is a lane to fight him. And for that the praise Ermes gets is legit. I love Levan. He’s such an amazing champion and he’s really just crushed every opponent for years. Ermes got a win himself giving Levan his toughest match in the last however many years. Some people really forget that Levan isn’t a machine and no one is untouchable. It takes years to gain respect, these people rooting for Levan the day before and now judging him the day after. He is a winner and no one can doubt it. Ermes is very strong and motivated but what I saw was a strong and stronger. I think Levan lost so much energy in the 3rd round when he tried to catch Ermes with his fingers before the strap. Levan wanted to prove he can win even without a strap. If it didn’t happen I believe it would be different in the end. This match was good thing for Levan, because he lost pressure of 6-0’s, also he understood his weaknesses and now he will come back even stronger and angrier. I am sorry for his next opponent.

The reason ermes tireing levan so much was- Because the gap power of back pressure and bicep’s strength was so close that levan-himself had to break his ego of 6-0 streak till his retirement. Yes, Levan kinda dodged being pinned a couple times, but he won the match anyway. And he learned something from this fight. At least that he needs to lose weight and prepare more. Now it will be interesting to see his next match. Hope this happens within 4-5 months.

🫵Reminder to all illusionist theories: Levan smoked Ermes 4 : 0. Ermes didn’t pin Levan even once, not even with aggressive shoulder press. Ermes earned some fouls in the 3rd and 4th rounds by shoulder pushing Levan outside the pad…..which is unethical and not sportsmanship🤷🏻♂️

If you rewatch round 3, prior to the two restarts Ermes was going to win vs Levan using the shoulder press but the refs wrongly called the running fouls as stop fouls forcing two restarts in round 3 when Ermes had a shoulder press going both times. With correct reffing Ermes would have won round 3.

Also Levan is a bad matchup for Ermes, yet Ermes proved he has enough versatility in his game to make the match super competitive. Its wasnt a dominant win for Levan at all. And that is BIG!. It at least opens the door for others to know what could work against Levan. People like prime Denis would surely be a match for Levan, even at his 100%. Levan wasnt 100% in this match, he was to heavy it could affected his heart health which is bad. But still, there is a lane to fight him. And for that the praise Ermes gets is legit. Levan must give more praise and less excuses in this case.

Sure Ermes stopped him for like 3 seconds but still that’s very dominant. Round 3 was iffy but he got flash pinned after multiple restarts. Round 4 he got flash pinned again. Looked pretty dominant to me
I love Levan. He’s such an amazing champion and he’s really just crushed every opponent for years. Ermes got a win himself giving Levan his toughest match in the last however many years. Some people really forget that Levan isn’t a machine and no one is untouchable. It takes years to gain respect, these people rooting for Levan the day before and now judging him the day after.
He is a winner and no one can doubt it. Ermes is very strong and motivated but what I saw was a strong and stronger.
I think Levan lost so much energy in the 3rd round when he tried to catch Ermes with his fingers before the strap. Levan wanted to prove he can win even without a strap. If it didn’t happen I believe it would be different in the end.
This match was good thing for Levan, because he lost pressure of 6-0’s, also he understood his weaknesses and now he will come back even stronger and angrier. I am sorry for his next opponent.
