Crikey Dom, I had no idea you had that many or I would have kept quiet. :) Great collection. My total of Napoleonic is 1974, so well below yours. Keep counting matey. LOL
Excellent collection, especially the 25mm (a scale I do not use except for American Westerns). I do a census on 1st January each year, and have 10,491 painted Napoleonic 15/18mm, and 3,799 still to do - it will probably take the rest of my life to complete them.
I only do a full census every 3-4 years - it takes about a week. I usually just make a note as to which armies have had changes to them. There are 57 ancients armies as well. (current totals =51,521, painted=32,702, unpainted=18,819).
I currently count my collection, and I passed already the 2500 figures, is just the top of the iceberg, my collection have historical, science fiction, steam punk and fantasy, I got the weekend to finish the count, I calculate maybe 10,000 figures but will see, love you Chanel 👍🏼
Strangely enough I have to do the same with my collection as the Portuguese house insurance people want to know what it is worth lol So I will be doing that when I get home from work, but I happen to know my Macedonian Successor collection is about 3000 Xyston figures plus about 15 elephants lol
A cracking collection mate, I especially love the 15mm stuff, had loads of these back in the day 🤔😉🙂, all gone now 🤷♂️. Sold off to pay for my Kings of War addiction 😬😉😂😂😂
Lovely collection, those 15mm need some TLC . Good to see you on screen you should cover a period of your ollections each month. We all have so many more figures than just napoleonics.
yeah I feel bad about the 15mms... but I keep thinking i will rebase them and yet I am not sure how I want to do them yet! A period a month is a good idea, i might just try that!
Suddenly my own armies don't seem worthy of comparison. Seriously nice collection Dom. I have the same "yawn" reaction to Prussians; their uniforms were just dark and ugly. You have the largest and one of the nicest collections of British troops I've seen. Very impressive.
A face on the channel, well done Dom. The count is easy Dom how many figures on the shelf? So around 1000 figures a cabinet on average. So how many cabinets in your new Boot Room? Counting!! walking down memory lane more like.
Dom thousands of foot horse and gun batteries, but only 2 limbers, I'm afraid I'm a bit disappointed 😞, heeeheee heeeeeheeeeee. Nice one dom, i dare'nt, count mine..
I picked them up in Lidl would you believe - I can't recall the cost but I think around 30-40..... they sell them in the centre isle a couple of times a year I think - at least I've seen them twice a year
that's an interesting question... I started when I was in my teens but that was Airfix 1/76th with enamels and really that was awful. I guess in my latest iteration of wargaming about 10 years maybe
cheers I have a unit of Foundry metals and also one using the Warlord Prussian Landwehr who apparently modeled their uniforms on those of the Opolchenie after the success of the 1812 campaign
@@BootsontheTable Thanks! I've heard others saying the Warlord Prussian barefooted landwehr are probably better suited to being opolchenie than actual landwehr!
Result mate something I did a couple of years back ua-cam.com/video/wsomjHEieG8/v-deo.html , top tip, once you've counted them, keep the record up to date 😄 don't agree with the Cavalry counting as two figures, try that in your next Cavalry melee and see what your opponent does 🤣
"The problem with Napoleonics is there's always more to go", truer words have never been said!
it's a very real problem!
Crikey Dom, I had no idea you had that many or I would have kept quiet. :) Great collection. My total of Napoleonic is 1974, so well below yours. Keep counting matey. LOL
i blame you mate!
Short answer - a lot! Hugely impressive collection.
Many thanks!
a few hours of work there sir :))
Truely amazing! ty for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing collection Dom, something to be very proud of.
proud and slightly concerned about!

🐺
Any time!

Nice.... I figure I have almost double the number of 15mm ancients as I have 15mm Napoleonics so that's scary!
Thanks Dom, I feel slightly less guilty about my collection now!
I feel I am providing a service.....
Strangely enough I have to do the same with my collection as the Portuguese house insurance people want to know what it is worth lol
So I will be doing that when I get home from work, but I happen to know my Macedonian Successor collection is about 3000 Xyston figures plus about 15 elephants lol
I need to crack on with my ancients but I think there a lot more of them than I have of Napoleonics....
Awesome. Outstanding Dom!
Thank you kindly!
A cracking collection mate, I especially love the 15mm stuff, had loads of these back in the day 🤔😉🙂, all gone now 🤷♂️.
Sold off to pay for my Kings of War addiction 😬😉😂😂😂
I am pleased I didnt do that as I am starting to use them again!
Enjoyed that , guess the mounted jeagers where the new allied perry's ?
yes mate
Good gravy, sir. That is truly one epic collection!
Thank you kindly
Looking great - makes me feel a combination of less guilty and also inspired - but there seems to be a lot of empty space on those shelves
still room mate ;)

A bit scared to sit down and count mine. Possibly later this year after the wargames holiday season
:)
What a fantastic collection 👍
Thank you kindly
oh my wonderful!
Lol
A stunning collection Dom wow 😮
I think so too!

cheers mate - yes really not sure what it is about the Prussians even though I admire their tenacity in the wars
That is a stunning amount Dom
it's a bit obsessive!

definitely memory lanes - especially those 15mms!

Nice one dom, i dare'nt, count mine..
I know I need to up my limber game! I always promised myself I'd do more when the project finished, but as we know no project is ever finished....
Well done, a great collection.
Where did you get the cabinets from?
Lidl middle Isle
Not a chance I am going to count mine.
lol that's what I said.....
That’s a fantastic collection Dom but I don’t think you have enough napoleonic miniatures lol
thanks my belief!
Awesome stuff, Dom 👍. Just the Dutch and Belgians to go then? 😆
that had crossed my mind.....
well you beat me hands down, i have about 300 28mm and about 200 15/18mm Bluemoon/AB figues
you have a target now!
@@BootsontheTable lol i don't know if i will live long enough to paint that many, lol a quick question were are your display cabinets from?
@@GDWargames Lidl Centre isle mate. They seem to sell them a couple of times a year
@@BootsontheTable thanks mate, :) i think i can get all my Naps in one of them, lol
Hello Dom very nice figures where did you get the display cabinets and how much were they
I picked them up in Lidl would you believe - I can't recall the cost but I think around 30-40..... they sell them in the centre isle a couple of times a year I think - at least I've seen them twice a year
Dom you clearly need to paint another 65 figures 👍
funny enough another 32 will be added very soon #alwayssomethingonthetable
Very impressive Dom! I see you transport your 15mm in RUBs is that what you use to transport your 28mms as well?
Yes I do! I fill the boxes with lots of bubble wrap to make them safer to travel
#Opening_of_the_museum soonTM
lol and have grubby fingers on them? No thanks ;)
Dom, could I ask how many years have you been painting the Napoleonic's?
that's an interesting question... I started when I was in my teens but that was Airfix 1/76th with enamels and really that was awful. I guess in my latest iteration of wargaming about 10 years maybe
@@BootsontheTable That was a right of passage, trying to use enamels on plastic!
Fantastic collection! What figures are you using for your non-pike Opolchenie?
cheers I have a unit of Foundry metals and also one using the Warlord Prussian Landwehr who apparently modeled their uniforms on those of the Opolchenie after the success of the 1812 campaign

I try but I get told where to go mate.... keeping up the count is a good tip for sure thanks
What figures are you using as swedish?
They are elite miniatures mainly. Some of the skirmishers are perry metals. I also have some from Eagle being painted
Where did u get them cabinets from
the shelves? From Ikea, I have display cabinets from Lidl and the boxes are Really Useful Boxes
They definitely need insuring
they are mate!
This way lies madness...
never a truer word said....
A lot
quite a lot :)
No wonder you only did the Napoleonics..... how many unpainted?
I have at least 300 cavalry alone plus Prussians and Russian infantry :(
I was going to put a thumbs down, but didnt want to look rude, not sure I want you to put yourself through anymore!
i own 100million
good for you
