How did you revert back to 1.06? I've been wanting to play 1.03 and I know there is a Version Changer on github, but it seems to only open the game once and refuse to re-open it, unless you change the version again. How did you do it?
I haven't tried that version changer but one thing I have noticed is that sometimes when I close the game the process stays open in Task Manager. So check out that you don't have any Diablo 2 there running. The game is unable to open again if the process stays in the list. Also you should check that Singling mod for the old versions that should include the use of Players 1-8 command. It will make the gameplay experience much better in the old versions. My game is installed from the 1.00 disc and then patched to 1.06. I run it with glidewrapper and then also I copied a multiclient .dll file to allow many clients open at the same time.
There is none. There was only monster resists but none of them could go fully immune. "Monster resistances get capped at 75, with the exception of Physical Resistance, for which the cap is 99 for monsters of the Swarm type, and 95 for all other monsters. Calculations always use pre-cap values." -resistance skills cannot drop resistances to negative values. Not sure how that really works since I've seen monsters with cold enchanted or magic resistance affixes + maybe they already had some cold resistances as a base value.. they are really tough to kill with Frozen Orb when or if your Cold Mastery is still low level. I was really pissed off when the Immunities came around after LoD. Especially since all the old characters didn't function very well anymore. And the immunities were pretty harsh in LoD launch compared to now. Also I liked to play in classic after a few months in LoD so it was quite difficult to build a robust multi enchant sorc in Classic since you didn't have access to a lot of + skills gear to boost that secondary element.
@@akse ahhh ... so i was wrong for thinking this is D2 LOD.. so this is the not expansion pack version.. sorry bout that. it's just in the past when im playing the game i was used to see the immune to certain elements on the hell difficulties. and i had to learn to play conviction aura paladin to get those monster some payback for the suffering.. ahh so nice to remember playing LAN game with my 2 friends , my conviction pala , a fanaticism pala and a summoner necro...good times and put the player number to 8 for extra fun
In this version you can't modify the player numbers. Maybe with a mod you can but I have not tried that. Anyways I self host a LAN game and join 5 characters overall to the game. In the future I can have 8 when I get some more characters to Hell difficulty :)
omg heavenly the memories
Call me "OldMan"! I Love D2 Classic! \m/
frozen orb no cooldown is WILD tho
