Do you have a video of the negatives of NC such as crime and drugs I didn't hear you mention either in the cons of NC
Not buying alcohol is a pro for me. I hate alcohol
To each their own!
Also, I think it might be a pro for any recovering alcoholics :)
@@Roma_eterna True. I find it sad that someone would even consider alcohol a factor when assessing a State.
@@chilldragon4752yeah just kind of shows how much some people rely on it
My husband and I want to move down south from NY when we retire. NC is looking perfect. Don't worry. we wont bring any NYC nonsense with us. lol
Let us know if you need any help when you're ready!
I’m so glad I found this page. Great videos very great information and well put together. I’m moving to Raleigh, North Carolina very soon 😊
Thank you so much! Glad we were able to help
Pros: NC is the best state in the country.
Cons: People moving here from blue states.
I’m coming from blue state and I hate it I promise I won’t bring any of the nonsense over to nc lol
What a great video ! We are thinking about moving to the US (from France), and NC is on our top 3. Now i'm even more convinced ! You're right when you say there's a city for every kind of needs. Plus, the parks and forests seem to be gorgeous. Thank you so much for all these details !
Thanks for the comment. Glad we were able to help!
As someone moving to NC within the next month, this has been very helpful. Thank you!
So glad we were able to help!
Love your videos!! Especially this one! I’ve been doing research and good to know about the poison ivy! I had not heard that until today. I’ve asked you before about the tornadoes; I’ve also spoken to a few others that live/have lived there and they said it doesn’t happen in Raleigh too often. They do occur but not like other parts of the state. I guess you can never tell with Mother Nature! I plan visiting soon and can’t wait to see all the beauty you have talked about in NC!
I’m glad we could help! Tornados happen but it’s usually in the Spring. Hope you enjoy your visit here and let us know if you have any questions!
Poison ivy is no joke! Some people are lucky to be totally immune to it. Unfortunately I am very sensitive to poison ivy, I would have a bad outbreak of it at least once a year for several years. One natural remedy to poison ivy is jewel weed! You can make a brew of jewel weed, freeze it into ice cubes, and apply it to where it's bothering you.
Thank you for sharing. Native NC girl here and everything you said was spot on!
Thank you!
@@LivinginRaleighTV want to move to Mt Airy!!!!! Love it there stuck in Massachusetts!!!
I am about to finish my Bachelors in Social Work in NYC and want to move my family to Raleigh or surrounding areas. I am nervous as I have to find a job first but hoping my military background and degree can help me out. Thanks for the video
Good luck and thank you!
I live in Eastern North Carolina with orange since 2013. I've been up North. Never looked back beautiful state beautiful people. I live in a rural area. I didn't love I love it. I love it
Alcohol is not a problem for me bcoz I dont drink. The fact I am working soon with one of the top hospitals in NC is an achievement. I made the right decision to work here. Thanks for the video.
Congrats and thanks for watching
Thank you so much for the informative videos!!!! They have helped my tremendously. I am in the triangle area for 3 weeks to determine if I want to move here. Everything you have spoken about in past videos has been on point. Hopefully, I will be living here in the fall. 🤞🏾
Happy we could help! Thank you
We moved to Cary recently and love it. Thanks for the video. You forgot to mention bbq.
We have talked about BBQ in so many videos we are trying not to be too repetitive. We're actually currently filming a Best BBQ in the Triangle series where we are trying and ranking all the BBQ restaurants in the Triangle. Stay tuned for that!
Can't wait to try sweet tea!
I’m sure you’ll love it!
North Carolina is a hidden gem.
Absolutely
I sort of consider my self a North Carolina native even though I was born in MD. I spent all of my summers with my grandparents in Dunn (Harnett County). Folks even tell me my speech is more NC than MD. Plus every saying about North Carolinians basically applies to me. I'm hoping to move there really soon. Love your video.
Interesting! Thanks for watching
We live in St., James plantation North Carolina it’s absolutely beautiful. The weather is extremely nice and we have a lot of sunshine not that much rain.
Wow! Car accident into poison ivy. That is the definition of a bad day!
Terrible day lol
The second con is actually a pro for me!
Nice
Love your videos and you nail it every time , but NC is a great place to live. Live in Greensboro NC
I'm looking to move to Raleigh or Greensboro. Thanks for the video!
We appreciate you watching. Both are great choices.
Wow. So - the cons are poison ivy, liquor laws, weather. This was pretty soft. What about crime rates? Property taxes? Housing prices? Guess I'll keep researching.
We’ve talk about property taxes and home prices in tons of videos. We are not going to repeat the same info in every video.
@@LivinginRaleighTV Didn’t know. Will watch more.
I cannot wait to move to NC from Portland, OR! This city went from beautiful to a disaster within the last 2 years!😡
Hope you like it here!
I used to love Portland! What has happened in Portland besides all the protests?
@@ronaldboykin9755In downtown, you can expect to see homeless “tents” on every street you go down. Garbage and graffiti line the streets and freeways. Our murder/crime rate has drastically risen…
@@ronaldboykin9755 My second son moved to PDX in February and I fly up there once a month for a week. The city is dingy. There are homeless in every damn highway exit and graffiti pretty much everywhere. Parking is also a total nightmare. Can't stand the place!
Portland has always been shit
I like NC much better than SC. I would never move to SC because the cops will give you a ticket for just about everything. It's a huge money racket for them. SC has terrible roads, terrible infrastructure. In NC the cops are very chill. NC has great roads and infrastructure.
Nice video! Getting more excited to move to Raleigh! Thanks for the tips!!
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you!
From where?
Thanks for the video! I'm a Californian who has a friend and her son who moved their because of college. They want to move back to California because her and their son are terribly home sick. She never talked much about the cons!
Glad we were able to help!
I live in Florida so everything he saying is true. All of the south goes through this. This may be the most video I've seen
Oh man, I have such fond memories of Virginia! Same southern culture, great food, lots of sweet tea haha! I still visit friends down there and I always ask for tea 😁
Thanks for the info!
Great video 👍🏽 moving there soon with wifey. Very informative, i didn't know about High Point.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for share nice informations
Hey Chris! Congrats for your videos, they're absolutely informative and honest. I'd like to know how expensive is renting an apartment or living with as a roommate. Thanks.
Great video and a great speaker. Thank you !
Thank you!!
Be there next June 2022
Nice!
Cherry wine soda🤣
Cheerwine!
Thanks for the video.
You're welcome and thanks for watching!
Great video as always Chris 🙏🏻
Thank you!
North Carolina has some amazing walking trails. Ppl love to walk and exercise and its pet friendly. Nc is getting better by the day. Unfortunately traffic is getting busy. Traffic was the reason why I like it here. I came from ATL so I'm little nervous as I continue to see more traffic hope we dnt get like Atl or Charlotte
Agree about the traffic! It's definitely a concern here.
I already had my encounter with poison ivy 🙋🏻♀️😂i
So sorry to hear that!
Stayed in the Revisn building that rooftop background is from over Memorial Day weekend!
Nice! How did you like it?
@@LivinginRaleighTV was great for a 3 night stay - the only drawback was hearing the Mickey Do’s drive thru speaker early and late!🤣
Why are there such stringent liquor laws?
Could you do videos about Greensboro.
Yes, it's on the list!
Great video, yet again!
Thank you!
Just had an interview with John Deere in FV. Genuinely nice people.
That's great! John Deere tractor company?
@@LivinginRaleighTV yes
Very nice. Can't wait to visit.
Hope you like it!
wow, very similar to Utah!
Nice video! Thank you for share the video! Next month, my family will move to NC, Holly Springs!!!
That's great! Holly Springs is nice! Let us know if you have any questions.
From what state?
@@thenorthcarolinian6796 Colorado
@@irinaminina1162 oh, haha running away from liberals? Pretty smart if you are.
I'm Californian and the culture here are sooooo rude. I would rather people keep their mouth shut.
Are you saying California culture is rude or North Carolina?
@@LivinginRaleighTV I'm saying California culture is rude. When I go to the Bay area I can't even begin to explain how rude people are to me. I don't belong here in California
@@hopefuladventures I completely understand. I moved from LA to North Carolina a few years ago and it was shocking to see how nice and courteous people in NC are. -Tanner
We're getting crowded EVERYWHERE. Traffic is now a downfall, even in suburb areas. Flooding due to overgrowth and infastructure failures.
Not true
"Keep your kids close" 😄
We experienced the same weather in New Jersey!!
Not quite the same
Great video, very informative, thank you and Godspeed!

So ready for Raleigh!
Nice!
I grew up in N.C., and I disagree about what you said about North Carolinians holding their tongue LOL. I thought to myself, is he talking about N.C., or S.C.? LOL I'm not sure where you grew up, but I think that depends on what city you live in, and prob. happens in the very rural small towns. Definitely not the bigger cities in N.C. For the most part people in N.C. are straight-forward and direct with what they want, and how they feel, especially at restaurants.
People from NC typically do. People who aren’t originally from NC may not. Agree about the bigger cities changing.
@@LivinginRaleighTV Yeah I guess it depends where in the state you live. Here in the Raleigh/Durham metro it's definitely people say what they mean, and mean what they say lol.
Hi my fiance is Indian and on work visa in US
He is currently in Cary , NC
But he has a offer to relocate to Maryland
So can you please tell me which one is better NC or Maryland to live in
We have never lived in Maryland and have spent little time there. People seem to like Raleigh/Cary better.
It’s the tornadoes 🌪 for me🤔
Is this changing with all the of people moving from NY and CA?
Is what changing?
Cons -- lime green neckties....
Pro
Its not critical to ask politely your server to help you .
Hi. Could you please do a video on whether or not NC has good job opportunities. Also could you elaborate on becoming a teacher. in NC... what is the starting salary for teachers?
Do you know anything about Huntersville,NC? Is it a good place to live? Thank you.
We don't know anything about becoming a teacher in NC, unfortunately. However, NC has tons of job opportunities! Huntersville is a suburb of Charlotte. Don't know a lot about it specifically but it's close to Charlotte so plenty going on there.
Teacher salary is very low, you can qualify for food stamps!
@@LivinginRaleighTV I live in Huntersville. Very nice, but getting more and more traffic.
Salaries are bad for teachers. Look at private schools, if possible.
I heard NC has lots of snakes. I'm planning to move here from Michigan but I have a phobia of snakes so please advice.
We have snakes. If you want to avoid them it's best to live in an area that isn't near forest or water. They can be everywhere, but pretty uncommon closer to the downtowns. It's really not a huge deal. Most people rarely see snakes. They are more common when on the greenways, hiking, and in nature.
@@LivinginRaleighTV thank you for your prompt response! How common is it to find a snake in the backyard? I have a dog and the dog would probably have walks without leash in the backyard. Also, can you please recommend the popular areas in Durham where there is less probability of finding snakes. I heard there's a lot in wake County and Mecklenburg County but not sure about Durham County. Can you please please make a video on this topic? Truly appreciate your help!
@@dishavictor5220 Of course, we are happy to help. Please send us an email to hello@mortonbradbury.com and we can help you find areas that are less likely to have snakes. They can be everywhere, but less common in certain areas.
can i have your contact information please i’ll be moving to raleigh north carolina in 2022 thank you for this video
Yes, please send an email to info@themortongroup.com
Are the women attractive? Not gold diggers, and mind readers?
Texas lol SAME
Chris, what's the best city for African American LGBTQ to feel comfortable and accepted in NC?
Asheville in the mountains of NC..Its a little pricey, but its an active city and very liberal! They have a diverse amount of clubs and festivals...Outdoor activities as well and alot of people who would die to live in town!
Where does NC stand of legalization of marijuana at least medical? ❤️
Not sure. I think they may have tried to pass something recently.
That's what is most important to you when determining where to live?
I'm glad Y'all outlawed those squatted trucks.. Hope the rest of the states follow.. Those trucks are a joke.
Yep
poision ivy,I am sorry in india we consider it is godly, three leafs(bilva),may be your three leafs is deadly
Wow!
I was too distracted by all of the mistakes and hiccups in this.
Thank you so much
Wah.. wah.. wah... get to the point. Omgoodness..!!!
What's your problem?
This video was fine. JK :)
Stop moving here wit that liberal stuff
There are Total Wine stores in North Carolina, and they are open EVERY DAY and as early as 10am on Sundays, which is their usual opening time in most states.
Yes, but our Total Wine stores do not sell liquor as they do in other states.
Wow...
I'm moving to Concord NC in May
