I'm pretty sure after all those years of training they were confident and ready enough to do a rap song without synching. I just question the management's decision to make them synch =/
maybe they are tired, sometimes stress and over working yourself can damage your vocal

Yeah, I read some of the comments in the videos, and it is obvious now that SM did tailor the audio AFTER the performance for the YT upload. You can hear at 0:09 - 0:10 when the audio mutes and they switched the live audio to the fixed one.

Exo is still a rookie there, but their standards are so high and challenging that other groups refuse to cover their songs; Their tunes are too high to cover, and the fact that they were complete amateurs on their debut day makes us thinks it much more difficult for them to sing that high note, but we're definitely wrong . Therefore my expectations are great because of exo. EXO KINGS!!

Ok, they weren't lipsyncing during the actual live but sm has a stupid habit to add on the track afterwards when they edit it, which is why all we actually hear is the recorded track + fans screaming. which sucks because i really want to hear this actually live..

Diane Contreras your veins dont pop out your neck if youre lip syncing. a track was obviously added because its so clear whereas if they were lip syncing we would hear a backtrack playing.
