- Maruti Ignis Petrol AMT - Long Term Review. We have been driving this vehicle for about 5 months and we are in love with it. It has good features, sufficient power and good mileage too. In terms of space, it has impressed us as it offers not just good space but practicality as well. There are more than enough features and the best part about this vehicle is its ease of driving.

I drive this majorly on highway and I cruise around 130 150. Although AMT is laggy when you want quick thrust but overall it’s perfect.
Spoiler is available as an accessory.
Ground clearance is 180 mm and I don't know how it's low and can bottom out as he points out. In fact even Jeep Compass has only 178 mm.
Yes facelift me mst lagne lghi h with spoiler. I love it ❤️
I bought Ignis after asking you around November 2017. Ignis is a nice car and am happy with it.

It's really a wonderful car. I have alpha model with AMT and it's has very good features including temperature control, touch screen music system, navigation etc. It's may look bit expensive but it's worth to buy with such features and it's compatible to drive around city as well as outside.

@@amitdeshpande629 highway stability is excellent for such a light car. Stability is quite impressive compared to alto, WagonR and Celerio. However don't expect ignis to be rock steady like fiat punto, VW polo or Ford Figo.
@@amitdeshpande629 engine has no lag even with ac on. Due to light weight construction, ignis feels very peppy compared to other 1.2 k12 powered maruti cars like baleno, swift and dzire.
im driving alpha amt petrol.. its a very comfortable car for city use.. we can park it with ease .. solid car to keep mainly because its very reliable ..
I also have Ignis zeta and its an amazing car as compared to that traditional old baleno

Jnauray 2023 comment:- I am a proud owner of Maruti IGNIS, i purchased it 25 days ago. And after 1300 KM , it gives me 22 km/l mileage in city and you will not believe it gives me 26.5 km/l average on good highway. 🥰🥰🥰
Edit comment on april 2024:- i have drove this car for more than 18000 km till now. And i am getting allover mix (smooth highway and traffic jaam)average of 19km/l right now.
Would you prefer this car for long drives like 500+ km run or mountain drives?
@samosabiceps, it’s excellent on long runs. Front seats are super. Have done 650km plus on multiple occasions. 90 km/hr is the sweet spot on highways. Mountains - well, not short of power but it’s not a 4wd and has limitations.

@@samosabiceps yes, i went from delhi to masoori and dhanaulti from this car. It is safe. No issue for mountain drives. But don't go with this car, where you see snow, as it is not 4x4. I will not advice to drive this car on snow road.
Driving Ignis delta Amt since last one year...best driveability, busy safety, mileage n features...go for ignis anytime...its a futuristic car..not for commoners

Is your ignis AGSor Manual transmission?
Well AGS is new technology which is still refining from Maruti Suzuki....
If you read "TEAM BHP OWNER's reviews most of them told that Maruti AGS system develops lot of maintianance in due course of time mainly somewhere around 25000 KM to 30000 KM run...
There may delevop slippage in clutch plate of AGS system as there are lot of wear & tears as gears are in constant rolling shifts with sync to engine rpm and throttle sensor....
For this reason your mileage is affected as there are losses in transmission & petrol is guzzle more....
I was also going for AGS IGNIS but after reading " TEAM BHP BLOGS" on Maruti Ignis AGS owner & their maintainance after 25 -30 k drive run
We have decided to go for manual transimmison. I have IGNIS ALPHA 2019 Nov model BS 4.... My experience is different on mileage.
City Mileage- 18.5kmpl with Ac on.
Highway Mileage- 23 to 24 kmpl with Ac on....
I am happy owner .
Also i like the rear shape of car..Front is the best ....
Exception owner as i have my first car RITZ Vxi 2009 model...

AMT is much better these days because of increased traffic, and i would suggest consider Tata Tiago also which is better in terms of looks and safety also. If possible consider CVT.

I have ignis Delta 2018 model diesel(manual).It gives a good average of around 20-25 on off roads. I totally disagree with your comment on its average.

I have delta 1.2 AMT and it's look pretty cool in tinsel blue color. It's run very smoothly over 100-140kmph. For safety reason will not suggest any to drive over 100kmph. But yes I m happy with my IGNIS.

Mileage kitna milega
Now it's 5year done with ignis and the servicing cost is still very minimal. Condition is still like a very new car.
Proud to be IGNIS ZETA Owner....... It's a mini BMW.... Bought ignis in early 2018......IGNIS is much better then Baleno & New Swift.....
I am personally driving ignis delta AMT from 11/2017. All the review I agreed with but the one thing is that the ground clearance is 180, as equal to bolero. But if u drive ignis on hilly area or sloppy road a bolero can easily pass but the front area of ignis touch the ground.

I have purchased also ignis delta model petrol variant.. Its amazing car in 5.5 lac budget ... Much much better thn tiago as its base model having all safety features also 180mm ground clearance... Dont think who r saying that its ugly look.. Look ka achar daloge.. Safety is imp.. Also its having noise free ingine wid Smooth running..

Sitting arrangement and its comfort is awesome
I love the back side styling of Ignis.
I am using ingis dealta petrol from 2.5 years and it is a very practical car.
Pros:
1. Turning radius is excellent can take U turn in very limited space
2. Good responsive engine
3. Very smooth and sturdy even at 80 to 90 kmph.Even on highways ride quality is good unless you rave it to 120kmph.
4. Small dimensions so it is very handy in congested parking slots
5. I am getting 17-18 kmpl avg I drive it daily 50-60 km in quite heavy traffic.
6. Though small dimensions it's still have very good space inside and for boot.
Cons:
1. Not a great interior quality. Dashboard and door plastic is quite cheap.
2. Suspensiona are not very good.
Overall excellent city car for daily commute.
Dashboard quality of ignis is awesome.

It is really stable at 150 km/hr also the feedback from the car is awesome.
You can go up to 150, yes but not very confident.
Driven a lot on the highway it's good till 130...you don't feel very confident after that...
It's also run smoothly at 160 kmpl too

I just bought Nissan Micra petrol Top Variant Dec. 2011 Model 47900KM Driven at 1.8 Lakh best Condition single handed used with Transfer and 1 Year Comprehensive Insurance.
And people started to bash me why you didnt bought WagonR. -_-

Nissan Micra is good car .Structural built quality & finish is good in comparison with Ignis, but lags in engine CC

Rachit, I've purchased Ignis Delta in Ahmedabad at Rs 5.25 lakh. Including everything like accessories, Nexa card and insurance and RTO. Believe me, I'm very happy with car. The kind of look same feel it has, is amazing. Only one thing I'm disappointed is it's steering which according to me it's quite heavy and not automatic adjustable. Apart from that, it is fabulous package. I've ran my car for approx 2000 kms and I've got 19.1 kmpl mileage.

Hi Rachit , your views are almost 100% genuine that's why I am your subscriber and I'm watching your videos from beginning. Rachit im auto enthusiast and therefore I own multiple small cars and i regularly change them also. I also own Maruti Suzuki Ignis zeta amt version and i have done 20000kms + . All your points were true but you have driven only 5000 kms and power is coming . But in my case after I drove it after 10000 kms power has gone . Even i drive a lot on highways and Ignis is like donkey bcoz it's speed can't go beyond 120 kmph . And i have planned for new car but not from Maruti Suzuki stable. I'm waiting for some new exciting launches in 2020
It can go upto 160 km/hr.
Please concerned in back side.. Please correct the rear and back lights style.. Make it simple like wagnor else baleno style

And also ...are you seriously driving this car long term ..? I own it and I can tell u ..I can cruise at 120 all day long ...with confidence ..breaks are very prompt and bite is good enough to inspire confidence at triple digit speeds ..I don't agree where u say that u would not suggest to go over 80 ..90 ...
We did find the Tiago and other products like Grand i10 to be a lot more stable than this.
Agree with you Vikashji.I have driven it at 140+ on highway.Absolutely stunning.
Tiago struggles to reach 100...n it's engine is not good enough..it's not punchy enough as compared to ignis...for grand i10...only the top variant has abs n dual airbags.. only a fool will take the lower variants above 90 kmph...
I too own ignis alpha diesel and the car is very stable even at 140. Love ignis

I have ignis zeta manual transmission it's give me easily 23km milage without ac..&with ac22km & I have already drive swift an baleno... but ignis is fantastic car.. it's really different.. good visibility, engine noise is totaly nill..it's a not a car it's a SUV Thanks to maruthi Suzuki...
Euro NCAP tested the model which was introduced in Europe which is essentially safer then the indian version due to the use of different body shell materials

a lot of people here have mentioned astronomical efficiency figures , the most i got was 15 on highway, 12 in cities and the worst was 10 in Bangalore traffic, with the petrol AMT
i bought it 1 day before GST launch in 2017. White AMT in 7.25 Lakh. So far car is good with mileage of around 14 in city.

@@shubham_M7777 it's running good. No engine noise, highway mileage is 20 now with 60 kmph. We went patna to puri on this car. Around 3000 km up down . No problem. Go for AMT ,it's must now a days

Everything fantastic, high build quality, gr8 at 180 speed, don't get jurked when truch get passed, 30 km/litr, it got collide with truck I was surprised truck was totally damaged while it didn't have small scratch. Ignis, color still charming after 3 yrs.

Bro. I am looking to buy. Zeta. 1. They are saying side black trim are extra. Back spoiler. Side chrome. Back chrome. Is that ok. 2. Bro. I have Ford figo 1.2 2011 petrol. I do Mumbai Pune and goa. While going and coming lonavala so many times. I have done 1.5.5 km speed also. 1.20 easy u may be surprised but it was always confident and comfortable. Now how have u said 90 above won't go ,? That is sad. Yaar. 120 atleast should go. I have compared the engine and torq and bhp with Ford and fiat palio this is still faster technically. Then why have you said it won't run. Let me know bro. Plus I drove wagan r amt it sucks u come to know the gear shifting and so many times you are left behind cause of lag delay on pick up after year change. What do you suggest. To buy. 7.40 is for zeta amt on road. What else you suggest. I need automatic. And I need around 240 boot size. Or else car become small.

steering wheel is the same in both models.. interior also similar..
Rear headrest not there in WagonR.. in exterior, ground clearance is better in Ignis. In wagonR, there is no alloy wheel variant available from maruti.. Overall, only looks are different. WagonR is little more spacious than Ignis.. Not so much but still..

When I compared build quality of DZire vs ignis/Baleno....nexa cars have better build....plastics/paint etc in normal Maruti are not as good as Nexa.. hence went for ignis...
