That's awesome, congrats! It took me >2 years to finish the first draft of my first novel (95K words.) I've polished up my outline and am super excited about rewriting it all with a clear vision. Sometimes I get a bit bummed about other people's output compared to my own, but I've gotta remind myself of how far I've come; I went from not reading fiction for 17 years to writing a massive story-not many people can say they've written a book.
Congratulations buddy. I listen to Wizards and Warriors from time to time, and you're always consistently trying to level up the quality and analysis. What's more, you've come along significantly as a host. Respect the hustle.
Discovered your channel couple of days ago. I've been working on the same novel for the past 11 years now, im 60%ish in the writing i think. Your videos are inspiring me into not giving up. Maybe one day i'll comment that I'm done. In the meantime, thanks for the content.
Thanks Dan! Btw - I'm about halfway through the story you sent me. Sorry for being so slow with the feedback, but hopefully it should be ready soon. I'm liking it so far.
Congratulations man! I saw the email this morning and your game VERY NEARLY distracted me from getting my daily chapter down. I'm very curious to check it out.
Your channel is great , Im struggling to write my first novel as well, but I will finish it ! question , what keyboard is that one that you are using with your laptop ? thx
Love your videos.. I wanted to ask a question if you have time to answer. You may have answered in another video I have yet to see. But, that first published book.. when you had a launch party at the library.. how did you go about having those physical copies? Did you have an indie publisher or did you pay to do a limited print run yourself? Just curious as I am finishing my first book, that I am writing as a hobby. I have a full time career and what not.. but my friends want to be able to read it, and have it in hand… but I’m not sure even what steps to take. I have a family member that is an editor, so that part of the process is taken care of lol.. but as far as the actual printing part itself, what would you suggest? Not trying to break out or anything.. just want something for like 20-30 friends etc
Cheers! Good question. I used IngramSpark to print the books. You can also set up books on Amazon's KDP program. Both platforms allow for print-on-demand (i.e. you can just order 20 books and they'll ship them out to you).
There's a famous quote. "Do the hard work especially when you don't feel like it" - Hamza.
That's awesome, congrats!

That’s a massive achievement Ben! You should definitely feel proud of it
Hey, Jed. Writing is a marathon. I’m a self-published author myself, working on my series for 4 1/2 years now. I’m still at it!

Damn, 500,000+ words of publishable content in 2 yrs. It makes my draft 10,000+ look like a chew toy
Hey most people don’t even read books, so any amount of writing is impressive in my opinion ✊
