Cool, recently bought a 2.8 4motion vr6 Golf4 for cheap price here in New Zealand and I'm kinda enjoying it..R32 looks good though.

I worked at my local dealership when the R32 came out. I went in on my day off when the first one arrived and drove it off the trailer and waited while they prepped it. That was hands down the best test drive I've ever had...

The only thing I'd love more than a Deep Blue Pearl R32 would be a Jazz Blue R32 😍
Elimentus I think they were originally planning on painting them Jazz Blue but ended up just painting the calipers that color (supposedly). The Deep Blue Pearl is really nice because it has multiple personalities depending on the lighting being a pearl. You get purples at night, dark blue when it’s overcast and a light shiny blue when it’s bright out; really nice. Jazz blue is cool though.
the original prototype or Geneva motor show one was jazz blue . calipers kept the colour

These 2 channels are my saving grace. Either they showed me how to do a repair or gave me the knowledge so I could take it to someone with a better skillset to make sure I don't break it more :) Im still on the hunt for a fairly priced R32, they seem to be a unicorn round these parts. :)

Hi DAP; hi Charles. Knowledge, time, and money makes anything e.a.s.y. Glad you are enjoying your .:R32. Sadly, after 15 years with my Mk4 1.8t GTI, I don't quite have the same passions toward my/the car I used to despite doing brakes, front arms/bushings, downpipe, timing belt, TIP, and more recently, its 4th set of times. Sure, simple, normal wear and tear items are ready for replacement, like emissions hoses, shocks/struts, falling headliner, but I just don't have the motivations to keep flying the Mk4 GTI flag. The .:R32s were on the lot when I bought mine in Mar '04, but the wife was against the lovely, hugging seats AND the fact it was $10k more than the car I eventually bought. Oh well, such is life.

Gandalf721 the only thing that went was my water pump (under warranty). Other than that no major problems. I’m religious on my maintenance, because I drive it hard everyday! 70 mile commute daily on hwy 17 in California.
One day I will own the VR6 CC!! Til then I’m happy with my MK5 Jetta in Cherry Red with a fat German plate

Weve had a mark 5 for nearly ten years. Still love it. Love the mark 4 as well but they are now too expensive, believe it or not. (Uk)
Who wants to buy my 2003 GTI VR6? Actually, i'm not selling it. It only has 94,000 miles on the clock, and it has been more reliable than any Japanese car my family has owned over the years! It even has the original manual transmission oil (6 speed), and VW tells me that I never have to change it for the life of the car (even though i've had the car almost 17 years now)!
I have an 02.5 GLI VR6 compare to the Mitsubishi cars i used to own this one has been the most reliable, only things i had to change out were the Ignition Coils/Spark Plugs and Clutch/Flywheel. Idk about the manual transmission oil i had mine changed when i got the Clutch installed.
Hey Charles, I have a golf mk4 2.8 V6 4 motion, it's a project car that I want to finish... do you have any video's on that specific car that'll help me in completing the project, the car runs, it just have a epc light that's constantly on and that cuts power whenever it gets to 2500rpm sometimes lower rpms... had it on a diagnostic tool and it threw out some codes which I'm looking into at the moment. But since you are a VW mechanic you'll have way more information about those types of machines then I do.
Now that I’m getting into auto cross, I definitely wonder how well my old R32 would have done. How is it for auto cross? My project Porsche 944 is being set-up for some auto cross action to compete with all the BRZs/FRSs/T86s and any other names they have. I’m surprised I’ve never seen an R32 at auto cross, I would think it would do fairly well. Maybe because there just aren’t that many.

Hello brother, I have a Touareg 2006 V8 4.2L and my question is I feel that the engine is get too high, the temperature is normal and the engine oil is around 200 some that is normal for this truck or I need to do something special for reduced the heat on the engine

In tbh i love my dam car so much yeah it has annoying problems here and there but i love it body is in good shape gonna get a wrap soon ,replacing the springs with coilovers soon and upgraded alignment with it.but other then that stock,low,and full botls on is what done so far.i laugh when people say 2.0s cant do much
Lol its all good bro enjoy what you have i also have a MK4 Jetta VR6 and people always give me compliments even though its not close to being clean, i already put some time/money into it but i dont mind its a fun daily car.

I love my 2.0 alot lol.in the vr6,1.8t,or tdi might be my next jetta and yes i seen that one with that dude in blue thats a very nice one for dam sure its crazy how he turbo a stock motor and just had the head rebuilt .now the vr6 those things are stupid fast n/a without a turbo lol

@@swiper_the_jettamk4318 lol i havent even checked what number mine is, yeah man add an Aftermarket Cam on that 2.0 it'll sound beast. The VR6 makes a great daily just gotta keep up with maintenance on them i just did my Clutch and Flywheel recently, have a few vids on my channel.

Hi Charles, could you perhaps do a video on front cv axles replacement on a mk4 R32? I am doing a cv boot change on mine soon and cannot find the torque spec's for the installation gearbox side and wheel hub side. Much appreciated.

Hi really like what you do with your VW golfs its cool . I have a 1997 golf with the 1.8 gas engine in it and I was thinking about putting a turbo on it if possible but not to sure how , would have any suggestions that could help ?

Hey Humble hope is all well, I found a 2002 1.8 GTI with 200,000. mi. I test drove the car and I'm close to close deal. To be honest the car drove very nice. Is it worth to invest with that amount of mileage? Owner is asking $2,000. Don't know if car is German or from Brazil. Could you please provide your honest feedback.

My colleague owns an R32, it sounds epic but the standard car has been described as all fart (noise) no pooh (power) in a review: R32 awesome or pointless.
I owned many Volkswagens, including a mk2 GTI that I bought new and drove for 17 years. Now, I've had an Evolution IX for the last 13 years. Had a mk4 R32 line up with me at a light. Sat there revving his motor; I guess it's the Chewbacca thing. I let him go first and then passed him like he was standing still. Talked to the guy afterwards. He was genuinely surprised by the outcome. Went to the R32 board on the Vortex and those guys think their cars are fast. As compared to what, a Yaris? No wonder that the owner I met was so shocked. Even saw a few threads where the R32 was compared to an Evo. Are we all living on the same planet?

Hey!!love all your vidz! I have an old 3 24-valve Volkswagen Jetta what the VR6 in it and it has the intake shift Rod rattle does anyone make a stronger intake manifold that isn't say $1,000? I have replaced it with a muse unit only 2 have the same sounds even with the groovin parts bushings please help me
HumbleMechanic I am from Vancouver BC, and found two cars I want to purchase. A imola yellow 20th anniversary that is in great shape but has a mileage of 268,000km and another that a stumbled on which is a vw bora vr6 2.8 4 motion with 155,000 km they are both manual. any tips and what to look for? Also which do you favor. They are almost the same price. your feedback is very much appreciated and thanks so much for your videos.

hey Charles! Trying to remove the SB1 fuse on my MK 7 GTI to disable ABS. it’s a square fuse with a clear top. Is there a special tool needed to remove it?because it’s not coming out with my fingers
