Ugh, seeing a Karima makeup tutorial just warmed my heart! I know that tutorials aren’t the videos that get the most love anymore, but man, they just feel like home to me. And yours moreso than any! I don’t know how many times I’ve watched old tutorials. They’re just fun, informative, feel-good content!
This gives me Lisa Eldridge tutorial vibes! Clean background, easy unpretentious steps and even the jewellery you are wearing on your hands! The colourful jewels! 😍
Living for the grown-up Wednesday Addams vibes :p on a serious note, this looks so sophisticated on you. Digging out my black eyeshadows right now lol.
YESSSS I've been craving heavy, sexy smokey eyes for so long... the ones we werent afraid to rock 10 years ago! I'm so nostalgic for them and using the Blackground paint pot was spot on XO
Really breathtaking... school em!👍🏻you have such a wonderful articulate way of describing techniques etc. makes it such a pleasure to not only watch but listen to your content as well! “The real deal!”
It is ALWAYS such a TREAT to watch your videos. I always learn something new and I always enjoy your voice and encouragement. THX, KARIMA!! Hope you're doing well too.
Karima, The early 2000s ☺️ thank you I used to love a bold smoky eye look either brown, black, violet, or blue. Used to give me 90s grunge era make up inspiration viA shows like Gossip where Characters like Serena, Blair, and Jenny rocked many a smoky eye. I used to dramatically tell my fam you need to see my soul and know you can mess with me. My friends would tolerate me saying I looked like a New Yorker in the Midwest because it was the trend at the time.
You always have the most beautiful and relaxing makeup videos! Would absolutely love if you did a video of your favorite liquid and cream highlighters xx
Damn Karima! This look is SEXY! I totally agree that cool tones make brown eyes pop! For me they always pull out those green tones in my eyes. I love this cool tone lip too. I am just a cool tone girl. It makes me happy to see them having a comeback. This look makes me wish it was fall so I could wear a ton of smokey and sultry looks (I know I could, but I want to use this time to appreciate all of those bright and pastel spring and summer tones)
I will forever love a smokey eye! Love all the classic products here, sometimes the original is still the best! Cool shadows on brown eyes really bring out the fiery tones, I love that the glitter has almost a lavender/blue shine instead of straight silver. SIDE NOTE: Just picked up the Jones Road Beauty "Miracle Balm" aka SHEER GLOSSY BLUSH HEAVEN! I'm living for it, it's full on wet-look dewy. I'll send you a swatch on IG when I'm doing my makeup tomorrow!
Can U do a Ranking Video of Pat McGrath , Natasha Denona , Viseart or Sydney Grace eyeshadow pallets ? & also witch one Colors in those pallets U like the most ?
Gorgeous look Karima - love a good tutorial. I think I'll try this look to walk the dog, as lockdown is still very real here. I am sure my fellow dog walker will think me terribly fancy schmancy 😘
I'm scared of black smokey eye - I tried it 2 times but I looked more like a coal miner than a super model 😆 maybe I should give it another try with this tutorial 🤔
Would a person with dark brown skin use a taupe shadow or would a warm brown be better? If a person has small eyes would it be better to line the lower water line with a gray or champagne and then use the black on the lower lid?
Experiment with both! Although usually yes, I'll select a warmer crease colour for darker skin. If you'd rather not use a black eyeliner on the lower waterline, I'd try a shimmery chocolate brown instead. xx
Absolutely dark shadows/ waterline eyeliner makes my eyes look so much smaller, which sucks because my eyes are small as-is but I loveee smokey kohl-ey looks 😩

@@karimamckimmie Thank you for replying. I'll try the shimmery chocolate brown liner when I attempt this.

I made it that far and I accept your hug. 🤗

It was a gift from my father 😊 Yellow Sapphire xx
Absolutely dark shadows/ waterline eyeliner makes my eyes look so much smaller, which sucks because my eyes are small as-is but I loveee smokey kohl-ey looks 😩
Bounce of light on the centre of the lid + a little extra flutter with the lashes = 👌🏻 Much more flattering IME! x
