    Great videos but I believe you misspoke on that last page with the TO Pitch. You said we’re remembering to keep that 11° in your example and set our horizontal stabilizer to it. As far as we’re being taught, we get pitch trim off our ACARS data and it’s more in the 3.x to 5.x range. I may have misheard.
    Great videos and looking forward to any that are showing the updated software.

    Whenever i enter an airway it just says invalid airway , i have latest airac already from navigraph

      One great thing about the Embraer FMS is there is usually more than one way to do something.
      1) To remove a DISCON, the easiest way is to hit the DEL button. You'll see *DELETE* in your scratchpad. Then select the L# button next to your DISCON. The DISCON should disappear and the fixes above and below should be linked.
      2) Press the L# button next to a fix that is after your DISCON. This will put the fix name into your scratchpad. Then press the L# button next to your DISCON, and this will paste that fix over top of your DISCON, removing the DISCON, and collapsing the rest of the flight plan up. The great thing about this second technique, is it can be any fix further down the plan, not just the one after the DISCON.

    I couldnt connect the tablet to my simbrief for some reason. So I tried just putting my flight plan in myself, but when typing in an airway I got an "invalid airway" message. Same thing for regular directs. Couldnt manually enter anything because it would always give me an error code...

      @@FarmLapse Sorry to hear that. The system is still based on the basic MSFS FMS for now so it is not very robust. I am still eagerly awaiting the custom written FMS to solve these types of issues...

      @CaptNabs do you have any idea on how to get the small green lights on on the MDF? I was test flying it, but none of the lights actually worked. AP, YD, NAV, .... all have lights above them, but none work.

      @@FarmLapse most operators deactivate those lights. I forget if they are an option in the airplane.
      The reason is the guidance panel is just an input to the computer. Operators would rather have you confirm the correct mode by reading the output on the PFD. This way you know the computer received the message correctly and is giving appropriate guidance. So use the annunciations on the PFD to confirm the modes are corrrct.

      @@CaptNabs As a beginner it's really helpful to see the lights. I was descending on my flight, but too late because I couldnt figure out how to see the T/D, and was trying to circle around into heading mode. For some reason, even though I changed headings, the plane kept flying the original heading I entered, so flying in circles. I tried by clicking the heading bug again, turning LNAV on again, etc. For some reason the plane kinda crashed on me, plane started diving at 350kts, just dove into the ground, couldnt pull up as wel. Auto throttle was engaged, but the thrust levers were set in idle, even when manually overriden the levers, I set them to full thrust, but couldnt pull up lol. This is either one of the hardest planes to fly or really buggy. I've flown the RJ146 and that managed way better than this

      @@FarmLapse The Embraer is one of the easiest jets to fly. The Flight Sim Studios rendition still has lots of bugs to be worked out. I would suggest waiting until it exits early access if it is frustrating you. The customized avionics really need to be working correctly.
      However, as I said, read, understand, and trust the Flight Mode Annunciations (FMA) at the top of the PFD. They tell you what the computer is trying to do better than some button lights.
      At least they should *if* the computers are properly simulated. Best of luck!

    Hey captain I figured for you to see my comment better to write in en lol. I like your videos but I would like to suggest that you explain a bit a few quirks and tricks or functions of certain things on this or any other aircraft ie. Why do we need to leave hydraulic pump 3A off and when we are about to start the engines put it on. Simple explanations like this worth a lot for us in order to understand better. Thanks

      Those answers are coming. The goal of this series was to be a quick primer on how to fly the airplane. Like any airplane, there are hundreds of quirks you learn as you fly.
      For the HYD3A pump specifically, it is basically to save wear and tear on the pump. It is one of the few systems that does not turn on/off automatically. To make it very reliable, it is always on when the switch is on. So only having it running when engines are running ensures it is available when needed, but not any longer.

    Hello Captain and thank you for the detailed explanations!
    A simple question that I have is, why is the layout of the MCDU/FMS so different compared to Wilco Feelthere?
    I saw a few real world flightdeck EMB- videos on youtube and the layout matches more to that which is used in the Wilco addon.
    Are there different software options for the MCDU in real life?

      That's exactly it. The FeelThere Embraer approximates version 25 of the software quite closely.
      However, about 5 years ago Embraer released version 27 which was a huge upgrade, introducing lots of new features like Cost Indexing. This upgrade was optional (and not cheap - I think it was $50,000 per aircraft). So not all operators bought into it.
      But yes, FlightSimStudios are recreating version 27.

      @@CaptNabs my questin is wht do you have nymbers and i dont? this is weird but at least i can somewhat fly it now. it feels wrong not having VNAV but theres a button what is this the BAE-146 haha

      @@CaptNabs ah alright then. I'll have to watch all these tutorial videos I stopped on 3. I had no TOD when I was just flying it but made a good guess and actually was lucky. But it seems like a great aircraft just missing the internals. Hopefully in the next coming updates they add VNAV and APPR mode enable
