You are so right Father! I am practising Catholic and in my early forties and I have always maintained that Catholics have been asleep for quite some time. Hence, the reason why the Church is going through these terrible scandals. Unfortunately, the hierarchy has told us to pray, pray and obey. I believe they have used something good, against us. It may be washed down, but the Lord is still very present in that mass. It really matters how we receive our Lord.
There is a "lack of response" in the hierarchy and even the priesthood but there is no silence of among the laity who actually attend mass.

I am not a catholic but I love God and my bible and what it teaches me. I only just found out what happened at the Amazon Synod and I am disgusted that man is still the head of your church. This should not just go away. Catholics need to make others aware of this desecration that was performed in your sacred city. You are so right Father! I am practising Catholic and in my early forties and I have always maintained that Catholics have been asleep for quite some time. Hence, the reason why the Church is going through these terrible scandals. Unfortunately, the hierarchy has told us to pray, pray and obey. I believe they have used something good, against us. No wonder Catholics today are silent. This is a false obedience. When we see heresy and hear heresy, as Catholics it is our duty to denounce it and not remain silent. "Obey in all things, except sin".
Ah yes Father, my heart beats one with you! This is horrible and I truly believe this is the main reason Francis has kept Archbishop Athanasius Schneider down instead of elevating him, he is a true light in this darkness.
