Curious about which lightweight flywheel he went with? It's something I've considered for my E46 M3, but have read a lot of stuff saying it adds a rattle that would drive me crazy. Doesn't seem to be present with this car, which is great... could be a different situation with the E36 though? Awesome car, thanks for sharing. Keeping it "mostly unmodified"/OEM+ is the way to go. Consider a final drive upgrade too! I have a 4.1 in my E46, made a massive difference in torque feel.
UUC aluminum flywheel with the E34 M5 clutch kit is what his car is running. Imo, the revs drop fast for my taste but it is a nice oem plus kit. I reviewed the clutch kit in that car. Stick with OEM Sachs and Dual Mass Flywheel. I tried the Stage 2 Gripforce clutch kit on my E36 M3 and it worked well. It was more revy and performed great. However, the clutch pedal was about 30-40% heavier and after driving 30 minutes in the city you feel it. It is very tiring/exhausting. Also, it is quiet when the trans is cold, but as soon as the ATF warms up you hear the raddle at idle. It's not terribly loud, but it sounds like a little can of marbles rolling around in a can when standing outside of the car. I could only stand it for 60 days and I immediately switched back to OEM.
