Laura you have given me so much inspiration! I’ve only been a follower since last year, and of course I was so hooked I had to go back and start watching from your beginning. I have really built my confidence in the garden with the abundance of tips that you provide!
Love to see you working more with the Mangaves, which I have recently been incorporating into my yard. Thank you Laura!

Those mangaves look like huge purple flowers in the garden and I love that octopus aloe in the dry stream bed. Very dramatic looking. And with the rock work exposed, the tapestries look even better. Another amazing maintenance💕💕

It is always so awesome to see these plants thriving as they do for you Laura 🤗. It never occurred to me that one day I would be drooling over someone's garbage 😆 Yes, I am talking about what you throw away when you're finished 🤗.

Those are re-homed. In this case to the client's back slope. Thousands of dollars of plants grown on the property in a year. Near SF Bay we don't have that luxury. Sigh!

@@robertbrewer2190 - I know, right? I am up in the foothills east of SF.
I was actually talking about what they throw away after they re-home the plants 😆 I am still trying to grow small cuttings and 2 inch babies. It is much better to try to grow a plant from a mature cutting even if it is a tiny cutting rather than from a baby. Here at least, mature cuttings are few if any... sigh.

Lol me too!!! 😂 I think these went to the backyard for the owner to pick through though.

Beautiful garden! I also had 3 Agave plants that took over everything in my garden that had to go completely. My gardener filled up

Let me just stop you right there. I'm at timestamp 1:27 and I don't see anything but absolute, gleaming perfection...
The idea that she's about to "re-work" or "touch up" what already looks perfect to me is humorous. 😁

That was so fun to watch and everything grew so big over the last year. The neighbors that take walks on that street have some real beauty to admire. You are right to the people who can afford to have Team DFS design their yards, they do need to protect their investment. 😍

Especially like how your mind is working into the future and adding new additions in places where monocarpic plants or others might need replacing. All that forward thinking while performing a heck of a good maintenance video lesson for us.

I've only recently discovered your wonderful channel so I've actually been watching some older videos. I have quite a few different aeonium, and I think I got my light green/yellow one as a tiny specimen which hasn't grown or multiplied as quickly as some other succulents, but it's really been thriving this past year until I need to spread them around again--just in time to be adding more yellow into my front garden. I'm in Soouthern CA and while I've complained about our recent unusual weather, the plants have loved it!

Very timely for me. I’m planning to use several of these same plants in my front yard. Looks like I found out just in time to behead an echeveria that we planted today 🥴 Also helpful to see how much bigger my Mangaves are going to get. Thanks ever so much! As a side note, I have been editing other parts of my yard and have aeoniums coming out of my ears!

That Echeveria gibbiflora could be left another year in my opinion... lol. haha, that trunk is BARELY showing girl!! I'd be interested in experiments like that. See how long it'll be if you left it til next maintenance time. Let the homeowner know that if they start to hate it, they can behead it. But it would be cool to see just what the growth rate is over a year or so.
