You would think that the Grandson of Waylan Jennings would have it made as a child, but he took a bad path! He wrote many of his songs while in prison. He is doing good now. 'Son of a Sinner' hit Top 10 Billboard right after release.
Struggle Jennings is the grandson of Waylon Jennings, not Jelly Roll. they've both been locked up and they've done albums and songs together but definitely a different person.

this song hits home for me i felt like this for so long. addiction to opiates had a hold on me for 13 years i have 5 years clean and its like i have a monster inside of me who scratches and claws at my mind, trying to get me to let him out and i struggle every day to keep him locked away .. It's kind of horrible and im kinda ashamed to admit this but i still haven't found anything that makes me truly feel alive and happy the way being high did and its a battle everyday i never wanted to be or asked to be an addict but i am and will be for the rest of my life its not something you can just cure or turn off.. Addicts live with the temptation for life... thank you for your reaction they make me laugh and i really enjoy them.
I feel this! Congratulations on 5 years! That's a great accomplishment! I just hit 2 years clean from opiates myself. Everyday is a battle, but it is definitely worth it! Keep grinding! Your story can and will help others! Congratulations again and God Bless!!

This was the last song my girl played for me before she died in my arms a few hours later, I didn’t understand it then but I understand it now 😢
